자동차용 브레이크 튜브 관단부의 성형해석 (On the Deformation Analysis of the Brake Tube-End for Automobiles)

  • Brake tube is considered one of the most important parts in automobile. The shape of brake tube end has a great influence on the function of brake, and the quality and productivity of brake tube have relation to die design. The forming process of brake tube end is performed by hydraulic press forming machine. In this paper, the forming processes of tube end for automobile is analyzed and designed to make the optimal form of brake tube end. Also, finite element analysis has been carried out using $DEFORM^{TM}% 3D to predict the optimal shape of brake tube end and the results obtained showed the optimal length between punch and chuck is $1.0{\sim}1.2mm$. The shape of tube end is in good agreement with the finite element simulations and the experimental results.

In this paper, the forming processes of tube-end for automobile is analyzed and designed to make the optimal form of brake tube-end. 자동차 좌석벨트의 록 플레이트의 정밀타발 시 성형성 향상을 위한 프로그레시브 공정 및 금형 설계 (Progressive Process planning and die design to improve the formability in fine blanking of the lock plate in car seatbelt)

  • This study improves the formability in fine-blanking the lock plate of car seat belts using a low carbon steel(SM35C) plate. The optimal die design for the forming process is proposed using rules for process planning based on theories and field experiences. The optimal design is analyzed using commercial finite element software in order to solve the fracture problems in the extrusion process. Through the improved layout based on the FEM results, the fracture of the extruded part and the roll over problem are solved. Furthermore, it is demonstrated through the shown from experiments that the extruded part does not break in the modified die.

  • 발전설비나 자동차 그리고 항공우주분야에 사용되는 각종 bearing, 원형부품들에 사용되는 ring을 생산하는 방법중, 가장 효과적이고 경제적인 방법은 ring rolling (ring 압연)이다. 이 방법은 직경 50cm에서 2m이상의 원형 ring을 연속적으로 짧은 시간내에 (한 ring당 약 1분) 생산 가능하다. 이제까지의 수학적 모델을 사용한 제어시스템은 ring의 단면적이 사각형인 제품에는 최소한의 오차로 생산 가능하였으나, plant의 생산성과 제품의 다양성을 위하여 ring의 단면적이 복잡한 것을 생산시에는 문제점이 노출되었다. 왜냐하면 기존의 수학적모델이 roll gap 또는 metal forming zone에 근거하여 modelling하였기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는, 이러한 문제점을 고전적인 수학적 모델을 기초로한 adaptive control system의 방법대신에, 축적된 control system설계와 운용 경험을 이용하여 설계한 퍼지제어기 및 그것의 실적용 그리고 그 결과를 소개한다. 실적용 결과는, 제조된 단면적이 상대적으로 복잡한 bearing의 형상이 (filling grad)이 제어기의 제어정도 판단기준이었는데, 99.5%의 형상도를 보임으로서 industry에서 요구하는 제품기준을 만족시켰다. 또한 짧은 제어기 설계 및 on-line optimization 기간 또한 이 제어기의 장점이었다.

리드프레임 블랭킹 공정설계를 위한 전단영향인자의 실험적 평가 (An Experimental Evaluation of the Influences of Shearing Factors for the Process Design of Lead Frame Blanking)

  • An experiment is carried out to investigate the influences of shearing characteristic factors for the process design of lead frame blanking in copper alloy C194(t=0.205mm). 3 process parameters, e.g., clearance between die and punch, strip holding pressure, and bridge allowance are selected for this study. From the basis condition 6% clearance, 20N/$mm^2$, and 1.5t bridge allowance the seven times of experiment are done by varying the each factor. The square shape specimen is used to study the characteristics of shearing factors. The ratios of roll over, burnish, fracture zone are measured after blanking. The experimental analysis shows that the burnish ratio is decreased as the clearance increases. And the larger strip holding pressure is shown that the roll over and burnish ratio are both decreased. It is found that an optimal strip holding pressure is need for large burnish zone. Finally it is shown that the bridge allowance is less affected than clearance and strip holding pressure.

  • Implicit finite element analysis of the flat surface-straight edge hemming process is performed by using a commercial code ABAQUS/Standard. Methods of finite element modeling for springback simulation and contact pair definition are discussed. An optimal mesh system is chosen through the error analysis that is based on the smoothing of discontinuity in the state variables. This study has focused on the investigation of the influence of process parameters in flanging, pre-hemming and main hemming on final hem quality, which can be defined by turn-down, warp and roll-in. The parameters adopted in this parametric study are flange length, flange angle, flanging die corner radius, face angle and insertion angle of pre-hemming punch, and over-stroke of pre-hemming and main hemming punches.

트윈롤 시스템을 이용한 천연가스 하이드레이트 펠릿의 연속성형 (Study on the Continuous Forming of Natural Gas Hydrate Pellet using Twin Roll System)

  • This study investigates compressive strength of ice pellet strip which is potential medium for Natural Gas Hydrate(NGH) extruded from die holes of Twin-roll Press for Continuous Pelletizing(TPCP). Recently, the prototype of TPCP is newly developed where ice powder is continuously fed and extruded into strip-type pellet between twin rolls. The system is specifically designed for future expansion towards mass-production of ice pellet strips or solid form of natural gas hydrate. It is shown that the compressive strength of pellet strip heavily depends on factors in extrusion process such as disk size, surface smoothness, ring size, taper shape, feeding mechanism, and rotational speed. Here, the mechanism of TPCP, along with compressive strength of pellets is discussed in terms of its feasibility for producing NGH pellets in the future.

초내열합금 링제품의 형상링 압연 제조 기술 (Profile Ring Rolling Manufacturing Technology of Alloy 718)

  • Aerospace engine application needs to stand high temperature and pressure. Because of its mechanical properties such as high strength at high temperature, Alloy 718 is used aerospace engine application about 80%. But alloy 718's mechanical properties cause some problem to manufacturing profile ring like damage of material and mold. In this study, alloy 718's mechanical properties investigated for knowing its formability and using FE-Simulation for designing profile ring roll process and mold shape. Profile ring rolling processing is designed with "Initial material$\rightarrow$Blank$\rightarrow$Linear Ring$\rightarrow$Profilering". Blank's heating temperature is setting $1100^{\circ}C$ for manufacturing a trial profile ring on the basis of FE-Simulation. As a result of manufacturing alloy 718 profile ring, it is possible to make near target profile shape ring with all of the processing condition which gives in this study.

알루미늄 판재구속전단가공에서 형성되는 불균일 변형의 유한요소해석 (FEM Analysis on Deformation Inhomogeneities Developed in Aluminum Sheets During Continuous Confined Strip Shearing)

  • The strain state during the continuous confined strip shearing (CCSS) based on ECAP was tackled by means of a two-dimensional FEM analysis. The deformation of AA 1100 sheet in the CCSS apparatus was composed of three distinct processes of rolling, bending and shearing. The pronounced difference in the friction conditions on the upper and lower roll surfaces led to the different variation of the strain component ${epsilon}_13$ throughout the thickness of the aluminum sheet. Strain accompanying bending was negligible because of a large radius of curvature. The shear deformation was concentrated at the corner of the CCSSchannel where the abrupt change in the direction of material flow occurred. The process variables involving the CCSS-die design and frictions between tools and strip influenced the evolution of shear strains during CCSS.

자동차 시트 리클라이너 기어의 파인 블랭킹 성형에서 V-링 설치 위치가 다이롤 높이에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A study on the effect of V-ring position on die roll height in the fine blanking for automobile seat recliner gear)

  • 본 논문에서는 자동차 시트 리클라이너 기어의 파인 블랭킹 성형 실험을 통하여 V-링 설치 위치에 따른 기어의 다이 롤 높이 변화를 검토하였다. 3 종류의 다이 편과 가이드 플레이트 편을 설계하여 파인 블랭킹 금형을 제작하였으며 650 ton 파인블랭킹 프레스에서 성형 실험을 수행하였다. 실험으로부터 제품을 취출하여 다이 롤 높이를 측정하여 분석한 결과 기어 모듈과 관계없이 V-링 설치 위치가 가이드 플레이트에서 멀어짐에 따라 다이 롤 높이가 증가함을 파악할 수 있었다. 이와 같은 결과는 향후 파인 블랭킹 금형의 V-링을 설계할 때 다이 롤 높이를 최소화하기 위하여 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
