부벽식 기법을 사용한 자립식 지하연속벽 공법의 사례 연구 (Case Study of Self-Supported Diaphragm Wall Method Using Counterfort Technique)

  • Application of anchored or strutted wall system for the earth retention of excavation works in a populated urban area or a poor soil deposit can be limited due to various restrictions. Since the strut becomes longer in a wide excavation site, the stability of an earth retaining wall is decreased, the wall deformation is increased, and the ground settlement is also increased due to an increased buckling or bending deformation of struts. Especially, in a populated urban area, the installation of anchors can be problematic due to the property line of adjacent structures or facilities. Thus, a new concept of earth retaining system like Self-Supported diaphragm Wall can solve several problems expected to occur during excavation in the urban area. In this study, Numerical analyses of counterfort diaphragm wall was introduced and the monitored data from the site was compared with the original results of numerical analyses. Also, in the case of the deep excavation applied the counterfort diaphragm wall, numerical analyses was performed to predict the wall deformation and the reinforcement to reduce the wall deformation was suggested.

화물열차의 공기제동 압력 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Pressure Characteristics of Pneumatic Brake for Freight Train)

  • Experimental study is conducted to clarify the pneumatic characteristics of brake system for freight train. Empty-load and diaphragm brake systems are mainly installed in the freight trains owned by KNR(Korean National Railroad). Experimental train set is composed of sixteen freight train and one diesel locomotive that are now in use. From the experimental results, in case of commercial brake, empty-load brake system responds to the brake command more slowly than the diaphragm brake system. But, in case of release command, the response time of diaphragm brake system is shorter than that of empty-load one. In the emergency brake test, the decreasing rate of brake pipe pressure of tenth car is almost same that of decreasing rate of commercial brake service.

바닥 격막을 고려한 초고층 아웃리거 구조시스템의 수평거동 (Lateral Behavior in Outrigger System of Tall Building Considering Floor Diaphragm)

  • 본 논문은 바닥 격막을 고려한 초고층 아웃리거 구조시스템의 수평거동을 파악하기 위하여 80층 규모의 초고층 아웃리거 건물을 대상으로 MIDAS-Gen을 이용하여 계획설계 수준의 구조설계를 진행하였다. 그리고 본 해석의 주요한 변수는 아웃리거의 평면상 위치, 슬래브의 강성, 아웃리거의 강성, 다이어프램의 종류이다. 또한 본 연구의 목적을 위하여 최상층에서 발생하는 수평변위, 층간변위, 슬래브에 발생한 응력을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 아웃리거의 평면상 위치, 슬래브의 강성, 아웃리거의 강성, 다이어프램의 종류는 초고층 아웃리거 구조시스템의 수평거동에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 본 연구의 결과는 초고층 아웃리거 구조시스템의 수평거동을 파악하는데 필요한 구조설계 기본자료를 얻는데 도움이 된다고 사료된다.

화물열차의 공기제동 완해성능 향상에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Improvement of Release Application Characteristics of Pneumatic Brakes for Freight Train)

  • Experimental study has been conducted to clarify the pneumatic characteristics of brake system for freight train and enhance the performance of diaphragm valve. Empty-load and diaphragm valves are installed in pneumatic brake system for freight trains of KNR (Korean National Railroad). Experiments are conducted by using freight train and diesel locomotive in operation. From the experimental results. new quick release valve shortens release time after brake application. In case of normal brake application, the release time is shortened to 34% of the original diaphragm valve. Reducing the release time of pneumatic brake system will be helpful to assure brake-release application and save maintenance efforts like wheel grinding.

Improving cyclic behavior of multi-level pipe damper using infill or slit diaphragm inside inner pipe

  • Analytical and experimental studies of the innovative pipe in pipe damper have been recently investigated by the authors. In this paper, by adding lead or zinc infill or slit diaphragm inside the inner pipe, it is tried to increase the equivalent viscous damping ratio improving the cyclic performance of the recently proposed multi-level control system. The damper consists of three main parts including the outer pipe, inner pipe and added complementary damping part. At first plastic deformations of the external pipe, then the internal pipe and particularly the added core and friction between them make the excellent multi-level damper act as an improved energy dissipation system. Several kinds of added lead or zinc infill and also different shapes of slit diaphragms are modeled inside the inner pipe and their effectiveness on hysteresis curves are investigated with nonlinear static analyses using finite element method by ABAQUS software. Results show that adding lead infill has no major effect on the damper stiffness while zinc infill and slit diaphragm increase damper stiffness sharply up to more than 10 times depending on the plate thickness and pipe diameter. Besides, metal infill increases the viscous damping ratio of dual damper ranging 6-9%. In addition, obtained hysteresis curves show that the multi-level control system as expected can reliably dissipate energy in different imposed energy levels.

  • 주상복합건물의 구조시스템은 휨변형에 의해 횡력에 저항하는 전단벽 구조와 전단변형에 의해 저항하는 라멘구조의 복합구조로 이루어져 있으며, 이 두 구조의 원활한 힘의 전달을 위하여 전이층에 주로 춤이 큰 보를 사용한다. 주상복합건물은 이러한 큰 질량과 강성을 갖는 전이층으로 인하여 유한요소법에 의한 해석 시 동적 해석을 수행하여야 하며, 일반적인 해석 절차로는 해결하기 어려운 많은 문제점을 야기한다. 일반적으로 주상복한건물의 해석시 전이층 바닥판은 강막을 적용하거나 판요소로 직접 입력하나 적절한 평가없이 사용되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 강막 적용에 따른 영향을 평가하여 올바른 해석 방법을 제시한다.

  • The vibration isolation table system for the high precision Processing machinery has been developed. The system uses air spring as its isolation elements. An investigation of the model and the test results showed that the diaphragm has a role in the mathematical model. The vibration levels at various floors in the laboratory were investigated during operating the large shaking table for the selection of optimum installation location. The vibration test on the designed system showed good isolation performances.

마이크로 스피커 진동판의 형상설계에 따른 진동특성 고찰 (Investigation on Vibration Characteristics of Micro Speaker Diaphragms for Various Shape Designs)

  • Micro-speaker diaphragms play an important role in generating a desired audio response. The diaphragm is generally a circular membrane, and the cross section is a double dome, with an inner dome and an outer dome. To improve the sound quality of the speaker, a number of corrugations may be included in the outer dome region. In this study, the role of these corrugations is investigated using two kinds of finite element method (FEM) calculations. Structural FEM modeling was carried out to investigate the change in stiffness of the diaphragm when the corrugations were included. Modal FEM modeling was then carried out to compare the natural frequencies and the resulting vibrational modes of the plain and corrugated diaphragms. The effects of the corrugations on the vibration characteristics of the diaphragm are discussed.

  • 캠샤프트의 구동력을 활용한 기계식 연료펌프 시스템을 대체할 솔레노이드 격막 연료펌프는 최근 각광받고 있는 고효율 그린카 부품 중 하나이다. 하지만 솔레노이드 격막 연료펌프의 경우 왕복운동에 필요한 자속을 오직 솔레노이드에 의존하므로 전력소비가 비교적 큰 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 전력소모를 최소화 하기 위하여 영구자석형 VCA 연료펌프 시스템을 제안한다. 또한 상용전자기해석소프트웨어인 MAXWELL을 활용하여 유한요소 해석을 통해 기존의 솔레노이드 격막 펌프와의 전력소모 및 동적 성능을 비교 분석한다.
