지그비 통신 기반의 근거리 무선 호흡모니터 시스템 (Zigbee Based Wireless Respiration Monitor System)

  • Abdominal circumference changes due to breathing by the respiratory muscle activity such as diaphragm, which would partially represent the lung volume variation. The present study introduced conductive rubber molded in a cord shape incorporated with a patient's pants. The conductive rubber cord operated as a displacement transducer to measure the lung or abdominal volume changes. Signal extraction circuitry was developed to obtain the volume and its derivative(or the flow) signals followed by wireless transmission based on the Zigbee communication protocol in a size of $65mm{\times}105mm$ easily put in pocket. Breathing frequency was accurately evaluated and breath pattern analysis seemed feasible, since respiratory behaviours such as maximal inspiration and cough were well identified. Remote wireless receiver module also enabled to monitor both volume and flow signals during resting breathing on a PC terminal.

Morgagni 탈장증 수술 1예 (Surgical Treatment of the Morgagni Hernia: report of one case)

  • Morgagni hernia is a rare condition of the congenital diaphragmatic hernia which Is located at the anteromedial portion of the diaphragm, and is located immediately posterior to the sternum. Its cause is considered by embryologic defect and the abdominal organs are passed through a defect. The incidence is predirected women over 50 years old. Its synonym is hernia of subcostosternal, retrosternal, parasternal, rectocostoxiphoid, anterior diaphragmatic or Larrey`s. This report presents a symptomatic Morgagni hernia of ten months old male child on whom the diagnosis was established and was operated at the Busan Gospel Hospital. This patient was admitted with the chief complaints of mild cyanosis, frequent upper respiratory infections and protrusion of the right lower anterior chest. Herniorrhaphy was performed through the upper abdominal midline incision, hernial contents of the omentum and the colon, and sac as noticed from the Larrey`s space measuring 4 x 2 cm. in diameter and oval in shape. Interrupted sutures without difficulty repaired the defect. The cyanosis was disappeared and the patient had uneventful course of post-operative period. The patient was discharged at 7th. postoperative day. This case presentation with a brief review of literatures is given.

초소성 블로우 성형품의 두께분포 균일화 연구 (A Study on the Uniform Thickness Distribution in Superplastic Blow Forming Process)

  • The superplastic blow forming technology has advantages of cost reduction and low material consumption. compared to the conventional sheet metal forming technology due to the capability of precisely forming with high elongation and low flow stress. however it has a disadvantage that its partial thickness distribution is non-uniform. A processing technology like diaphragm forming has been developed even though it is difficult to prepare materials for superplastic blow forming. in this study a hemisphere forming of sheet before superplastic forming. It was found that the rotary forming material was less in quantity of cavitation at pole than that of hemisphere part that was superplastic formed without rotary forming treatment. Also discussed are the critical strain which is closely related to cavity shape and size.

강박스 거더교의 내부 다이아프램에 관한 매개변수 연구 (A Parametric Study on Intermediate Diaphragms of Steel-Box-Girder Bridges)

  • 과거 수 십년 동안 강박스 거더 교량은 휨과 비틀림에 대한 저항능력과 미적인 측면에서의 우수성으로 인해 많은 시공현장에서 건설되었다. 그러나 박스거더는 편재하된 하중 상태에서 단면의 뒤틀림과 뒴 현상을 경험하게 되는데 이는 박스거더의 단점으로 작용한다. 그러한 뒤틀림과 뒴 현상에 의해 발생하는 뒤틀림 응력들을 제어하기 위해서 일반적으로 박스거더 내부에 다이아프램을 설치하게 된다. 현재까지 건설된 강박스 거더 교량의 다이아프램의 형태는 충복 형태, 프레임 형태 그리고 트러스 형태 등이다. 본 연구의 목적은 매개변수 연구를 통해서 적절한 다이아프램 강성 비를 산정 하는 것과 산정된 강성 비에 근거하여 내부 다이아프램의 간격과 수를 제안하는 것이다. 대상교량은 단실 단면을 갖는 연속화된 직선 강박스 거더 교량이고, 주요한 매개변수는 단면의 형상, 경간 수, 등가 지간장, 내부 다이아프램 강성 그리고 내부 다이아프램 간격 등이다. 매개변수 연구를 통해서 적절한 내부 다이아프램 강성 비의 산정 그리고 내부 다이아프램의 간격과 수가 제안될 것이다.

  • 막 구조물을 설계하기 위해서는 우선 초기장력 도입으로 인한 구조물의 형상을 정확히 알아야 한다. 이를 위해서 모형을 통한 모델링이나 컴퓨터를 이용한 형상해석이 요구되며, 초기장력의 도입으로 형성되는 막 구조물의 곡면은 일반적으로 등장력 곡면이다. 이와 같은 특성을 가진 막 구조물은 모형만을 대상으로 형상을 구할 때에는 정량적으로 형상의 정보를 얻기가 힘들고, 형상해석만을 수행한 경우는 예기치 않은 문제가 발생하기도 한다. 또 설계자의 의도에 따른 형상은 실질적으로 등장력 곡면에 부합되지 않는 경우가 많고, 심지어 실현 불가능한 발생한다. 따라서 설계프로세스에 따른 구조물의 형상에 부합되면서 실현가능한 형상으로의 초기형상 결정과정은 막 구조물의 설계에 있어서 무엇보다 중요한 과정이다. 본 연구에서는 건축 설계프로세스에 따른 모델링과 수치적 형상해석과의 결과에 대한 차이를 살펴보고 피드벡 과정을 통하여 막 구조물의 초기형상을 결정하는 프로세스에 대해서 연구한다.

Practical seismic assessment of unreinforced masonry historical buildings

  • Rehabilitation of historical unreinforced masonry (URM) buildings is a priority in many parts of the world, since those buildings are a living part of history and a testament of human achievement of the era of their construction. Many of these buildings are still operational; comprising brittle materials with no reinforcements, with spatially distributed mass and stiffness, they are not encompassed by current seismic assessment procedures that have been developed for other structural types. To facilitate the difficult task of selecting a proper rehabilitation strategy - often restricted by international treaties for non-invasiveness and reversibility of the intervention - and given the practical requirements for the buildings' intended reuse, this paper presents a practical procedure for assessment of seismic demands of URM buildings - mainly historical constructions that lack a well-defined diaphragm action. A key ingredient of the method is approximation of the spatial shape of lateral translation, ${\Phi}$, that the building assumes when subjected to a uniform field of lateral acceleration. Using ${\Phi}$ as a 3-D shape function, the dynamic response of the system is evaluated, using the concepts of SDOF approximation of continuous systems. This enables determination of the envelope of the developed deformations and the tendency for deformation and damage localization throughout the examined building for a given design earthquake scenario. Deformation demands are specified in terms of relative drift ratios referring to the in-plane and the out-of-plane seismic response of the building's structural elements. Drift ratio demands are compared with drift capacities associated with predefined performance limits. The accuracy of the introduced procedure is evaluated through (a) comparison of the response profiles with those obtained from detailed time-history dynamic analysis using a suite of ten strong ground motion records, five of which with near-field characteristics, and (b) evaluation of the performance assessment results with observations reported in reconnaissance reports of the field performance of two neoclassical torsionally-sensitive historical buildings, located in Thessaloniki, Greece, which survived a major earthquake in the past.

관통형 다이아프램을 갖는 조립형 콘크리트 충전 각형 합성기둥-보 접합부의 내진성능 (Seismic Performance of Built-up Concrete Filled Square Composite Column-to beam Connection with Through Diaphragm)

  • 콘크리트 충전형 기둥은 두 재료의 상호작용으로 인해 강도와 연성이 증대되어 기둥부재로 많이 사용되고 있다. 부재를 효율적으로 사용하고자 하는 노력에서 얇은 강판을 사용한 폭두께비가 큰 용접조립각형 기둥형상을 제안하였다. 세장비가 큰 용접조립 각형 기둥-보 접합부에 관한 연구로써 구조적 특성을 명료하게 평가하고 접합부의 내진성능을 고찰하고자 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 T자형 기둥-보 접합부의 반복가력 실험을 수행하였으며, 주 변수는 다이아프램 설치 유무와 콘크리트 충전유무이다. 모멘트-회전각 관계, 소산에너지, 파괴거동등을 비교하여 변수에 따른 용접조립각형기둥-보 접합부의 응력전달 메커니즘을 평가하고자 한다.

  • 콘크리트충전 강관기둥의 외다이아프램 접합부형식에서, 철골보의 하중이 내부의 콘크리트로 전달되는 하중전달 메카니즘이 아직 명확하게 규명되지 않았다. 여기서 각 층에서 철골보의 전단력은 외부의 강관과 내부의 콘크리트 사이의 부착응력에 의해 전달된다고 본다. 따라서 본 연구는 콘크리트충전 강관기둥의 부착응력을 파악하기 위해, 콘크리트면에만 하중을 가하는 단순가력실험을 실시하였다. 콘크리트 종류, 강관의 형상/길이, 이음부의 유무/뒷댐재의 두께 등을 변수로 총 30개의 실험체를 제작하여 실험을 실시했으며, 각 변수에 따른 실험결과를 비교/분석하고자 했다.

대곡면 후곡판 성형을 위한 블랭크 지지구조의 적합성 연구 (A Compatibility Study on Blank Support Structure for Large and Curved Thick Plate Forming)

  • Thick plate forming is presented to manufacture a large and curved member of steam turbine diaphragm. Due to three-dimensional asymmetry of target geometry, it is hard to consistently keep the blank position in die cavity between forming punch and die. In order to relieve the position instability of the blank during the thick plate forming, a blank support structure is proposed to be composed of guide pins and linear bearing, and blank guide arm enlarged from both longitudinal ends of the thick blank. In this study, parametric investigations with regard to the geometric position and width of the blank guide arm are carried out. As main geometric parameters, 2 positions such as maximum curvature region and minimum one on a curved cross-section profile of the target shape are selected, and 14 widths of the blank guide arm are considered. Using 28 variable combinations, three-dimensional numerical simulations are performed to predict the appropriate range of the process parameters. The compatibility and validity of the blank support structure with the blank guide arm for the thick plate forming is verified through the thick plate forming experiments.

동해석을 이용한 연료펌프의 캠 형상 설계 (Cam Profile Design of a Fuel Pump Using Dynamic Analysis)

  • This work focuses on reducing the noise and vibration levels of an LPi fuel pump, which are generated from the dynamic motions of pump elements and non-uniform flow of fuel. The noise and vibration levels increase as the revolution speed of the cam goes up. The fuel pump consists of five cavity cells, plungers and diaphragms, which are driven by the cam. The optimal design of the cam profile is performed to decrease the accelerations of moving Parts and to obtain a smooth hydraulic force through a dynamic analysis of a cam-plunger mechanism. The cam-Plunger with a cavity is modeled as a 2 degrees of freedom system having non-linear contacts, the cam profile being represented in terms of Fourier series in order to determine the optimal shape of the cam. From the optimized cam Profile, the acceleration of the diaphragm is reduced in $78\%$, the hydraulic force becoming smoother in case that the hydraulic force is rapidly dropped.
