A Machine Learning based Method for Measuring Inter-utterance Similarity for Example-based Chatbot (예제 기반 챗봇을 위한 기계 학습 기반의 발화 간 유사도 측정 방법)

  • Example-based chatBot generates a response to user's utterance by searching the most similar utterance in a collection of dialogue examples. Though finding an appropriate example is very important as it is closely related to a response quality, few studies have reported regarding what features should be considered and how to use the features for similar utterance searching. In this paper, we propose a machine learning framework which uses various linguistic features. Experimental results show that simultaneously using both semantic features and lexical features significantly improves the performance, compared to conventional approaches, in terms of 1) the utilization of example database, 2) precision of example matching, and 3) the quality of responses.

  • 본 연구는 말뭉치로부터 추출된 정보를 사용하여 대화 시스템에 필요한 과정들을 통합 처리하는 시스템을 제안한다. 기존 연구는 영역 확장 시 대화 시스템의 각 과정들을 위해 많은 노력이 필요하였지만, 제안하는 방법은 말뭉치를 사용하여 각 과정들을 통합적으로 업데이트함으로서 이 문제를 해결하고자 한다. 사용자 입력문장과 말뭉치의 각 문장들 간의 유사도 계산을 통하여 의미적으로 가장 유사한 말뭉치 문장의 정보를 이용하고, 시스템 응답에 필요한 정보를 선택한다. 또한, 문맥에 관련된 정보를 자동으로 추출하여 대화 관리를 위한 대화 전이 네트워크(network)를 생성한다. 따라서, 제안 시스템은 말뭉치의 추가 및 수정만으로 새로운 영역 확장과 관리에 용이한 구조를 갖는다. 실험으로 관찰한 제안된 시스템의 성능은 유사도 계산 만족도 약 77%, 시스템 응답의 적절성 약 84%로 충분히 작업 수행이 가능한 점수를 보여주었다.

Study on Extraction of Keywords Using TF-IDF and Text Structure of Novels (TF-IDF와 소설 텍스트의 구조를 이용한 주제어 추출 연구)

  • With the explosive growth of information about books, there is a growing number of customers who find it difficult to pick a book. Against the backdrop, the importance of a book recommendation system becomes greater, through which appropriate information about books could be offered then to encourage customers to buy a book in the end. However, existing recommendation systems based on the bibliographical information or user data reveal the reliability issue found in their recommendation results. This is why it is necessary to reflect semantic information extracted from the texts of a book's main body in a recommendation system. Accordingly, this paper suggests a method for extracting keywords from the main body of novels, as a preceding research, by using TF-IDF method as well as the text structure. To this end, the texts of 100 novels have been collected then to divide them into four structural elements of preface, dialogue, non-dialogue and closing. Then, the TF-IDF weight of each keyword has been calculated. The calculation results show that the extraction accuracy of keywords improves by 42.1% in performance when more weight is given to dialogue while including preface and closing instead of using just the main body.

  • This Paper describes implementation of a remote ECG diagnostic system using telephone line. The overall system includes ECG data acquisition system, ECG terminal, system control software, automatic diagnosis system, and transmission system.'The proposed system provides various functions, which are ECG data acquisition, transmission, receiving, diagnosis and dialogue between patients and medical doctors. Thls system is very simple and convienient to use. We evaluate the performance of modem and the accuracy of automatic diagnosis algorithm. The obtained results suggest the Possibilities of a remote ECG diagnostic system using the only existed telephone line.

  • Voice Recognition technique has been developed and it has been actively applied to various information devices such as smart phones and car navigation system. But the basic research technique related the speech recognition is based on research results in English. Since the lip sync producing generally requires tedious hand work of animators and it serious affects the animation producing cost and development period to get a high quality lip animation. In this research, a real time processed automatic lip sync algorithm for virtual characters in digital contents is studied by considering Korean vocal sound system. This suggested algorithm contributes to produce a natural lip animation with the lower producing cost and the shorter development period.

  • In order to implement Artificial Intelligence, various technologies have been widely used. Artificial Intelligence are applied for many industrial products and machine tools are the center of manufacturing devices in intelligent manufacturing devices. The purpose of this paper is to present the design of Decision Support Agent that is applicable to machine tools. This system is that decision whether to act in accordance with machine status is support system. It communicates with other active agents such as sensory and dialogue agent. The proposed design of decision support agent facilitates the effective operation and control of machine tools and provides a systematic way to integrate the expert's knowledge that will implement Intelligent Machine Tools.

  • 대화 시스템이란 자연어를 이용하여 인간과 정보를 교환하거나 업무를 수행하는 프로그램이다. 자연언어는 인간이 사용할 수 있는 쉽고 효율적인 인터페이스이기 때문에 이를 이용한 대화 시스템의 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 지금까지 주로 인식에 초점이 맞추어져 연구되어 왔던 계획 기반 대화 모델을 이용하여 발화하여 생성하는 시스템을 설계하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 설계하고자 하는 대화 시스템은 사용자의 질의에 응답할 뿐 아니라 자신의 행위를 능동적으로 수행할 수 있는 협조적 대화 시스템이다. 또한 대화의 효율성을 고려하여 사용자가 필요로 하는 정보를 능동적으로 제공하는 시스템이다. 대화의 효율성을 고려한 발화를 위해 본 논문에서는 새로운 시스템의 행위를 정의하여 실제 가능한 대화 예를 보이고자 한다.

  • Distance learning makes it possible for educational consumers to study anywhere or anytime. In order to provide effective distance learning, it requires not only educational process and educational results to be closely correlated but also a method for teachers and students to communicate immediately. We devised a dialogue system like a chatting program containing an editor. With this program, students can learn a programming practice by chatting between a teacher and a student. We also incorporated a source code visualization technique based on diff algorithm so that the visualization technique makes it possible for students to recognize the remedies by teachers visually. The result comes by mixing the merits of a dialogue system giving a close interrelationship among users into a programming language education. We expect that the successful result would be tantamount to a face-to-face education.

  • A chatbot is an important area of mobile service, which understands informal data of a user as a conversational form and provides a customized service information for user. However, there is still a lack of a service way to fully understand the user's natural language typed query dialogue. Therefore, in this paper, we extract meaningful words, such a region, a food category, and a restaurant name from user's dialogue sentences for recommending a restaurant. and by comparing the extracted words against the contents of the knowledge database that is built from the hashtag for recommending a restaurant in SNS, and provides user target information having statistically much the word-similarity. In order to evaluate the performance of the restaurant recommendation chatbot system implemented in this paper, we measured the accessibility of various user query information by constructing a web-based mobile environment. As a results by comparing a previous similar system, our chabot is reduced by 37.2% and 73.3% with respect to the touch-count and the cutaway-count respectively.

Real-time Background Music System for Immersive Dialogue in Metaverse based on Dialogue Emotion (메타버스 대화의 몰입감 증진을 위한 대화 감정 기반 실시간 배경음악 시스템 구현)

  • To enhance immersive experiences for metaverse environements, background music is often used. However, the background music is mostly pre-matched and repeated which might occur a distractive experience to users as it does not align well with rapidly changing user-interactive contents. Thus, we implemented a system to provide a more immersive metaverse conversation experience by 1) developing a regression neural network that extracts emotions from an utterance using KEMDy20, the Korean multimodal emotion dataset 2) selecting music corresponding to the extracted emotions from an utterance by the DEAM dataset where music is tagged with arousal-valence levels 3) combining it with a virtual space where users can have a real-time conversation with avatars.
