"Maekgyung(脈經)" was the first book for diagnostic method in traditional Chinese medicine history, but it couldn't be spreaded widely. After that, "Maekgyeol(脈訣)" was widely spreaded for centuries, because it was more concise and easier to memorize than "Maekgyung". But as time went by, people got to know that "Maekgyeol" had many errors. After "Maekgyeolganoh(脈訣刊誤)" corrected the errors of "Maekgyeol", "Maekgyeol" came to lose its reputation and people began to study "Binhomaekhak(瀕湖脈學)" instead of "Maekgyeol". We got to wonder why "Maekgyeol" was criticized by many people, so we decided to compare the definitions of pulses(脈象) in "Maekgyung" and "Maekgyeol" and "Maekgyeolganoh". Both "Maekgyung" and "Maekgyeol" have 24 kinds of pulses, but 22 kinds are in common. In 22 kinds of pulses, only 2 kinds of definitions are similar and the others are different. And "Maekgyeolganoh" criticized errors of "Maekgyeol" and corrected the definitions by that of "Maekgyung". In conclusion, we come to know that "Maekgyeol" was rejected by people because it defined most of pulses different from "Maekgyung".

Professionals performing radiographic examinations are responsible for maintaining optimal image quality for accurate diagnoses. These professionals must competently execute techniques such as film manipulation and processing to minimize patient exposure to radiation. Improper performance by the professional and/or patient may result in a radiographic image of unsatisfactory quality that can also lead to a misdiagnosis and the development of an inadequate treatment plan. Currently, the most commonly performed extraoral examination is panoramic radiography. The invention of panoramic radiography has resulted in improvements in image quality with decreased exposure to radiation and at a low cost. However, this technique requires careful, accurate positioning of the patient's teeth and surrounding maxillofacial bone structure within the focal trough. Therefore, we reviewed the literature for the most common types of positioning errors in panoramic radiography to suggest the correct techniques. We would also discuss how to determine if the most common positioning errors occurred in panoramic radiography, such as in the positioning of the patient's head, tongue, chin, or body.
Purpose: This study evaluated the prevalence of dental implant positioning errors and the most frequently affected oral regions. Materials and Methods: A sample was obtained of CBCT images of 590 dental implants from 230 individuals who underwent diagnosis at a radiology center using cone-beam computed tomography from 2017 to 2020. The following variables were considered: thread exposure, violation of the minimum distance between 2 adjacent implants and between the implant and tooth, and implant contact with anatomical structures. Descriptive data analysis and the Pearson chi-square test(P<0.05) were performed to compare findings according to mouth regions. Results: Most (74.4%) of the 590 implants were poorly positioned, with the posterior region of the maxilla being the region most frequently affected by errors. Among the variables analyzed, the most prevalent was thread exposure (54.7%), followed by implant contact with anatomical structures, violation of the recommended distance between 2 implants and violation of the recommended distance between the implant and teeth. Thread exposure was significantly associated with the anterior region of the mandible (P<0.05). The anterior region of the maxilla was associated with violation of the recommended tooth-implant distance (P<0.05) and the recommended distance between 2 adjacent implants(P<0.05). Implant contact with anatomical structures was significantly more likely to occur in the posterior region of the maxilla (P<0.05). Conclusion: Many implants were poorly positioned in the posterior region of the maxilla. Thread exposure was particularly frequent and was significantly associated with the anterior region of the mandible.

In the Information age, internet addiction has been a big issue in a modern society. The adverse effects of the internet addiction have been increasing at an exponential speed. Along with a great variety of internet-connected device supplies, K-scale diagnostic criteria have been used for the internet addiction self-diagnose tests in the high-speed wireless Internet service, netbooks, and smart phones, etc. The K-scale diagnostic criteria needed to be changed to meet the changing times, and the diagnostic criteria of K-scale was changed in March, 2012. In this paper, we analyze the internet addiction and K-scale features on the actual condition of Gyeongbuk collegiate areas using the revised K-scale diagnostic criteria in 2012. The diagnostic method on internet addiction is measured by the respondents' subjective estimation. Willful error of the respondents can be occurred to hide their truth. In this paper, we add the survey response to the trusted reliability values to reduce response errors on the K-scale on the K-scale, and enhance the reliability of the analysis.

Objectives This study aimed to propose biomarkers for diagnosing Chuna manual therapy (CMT) based on X-ray images in the thoracic and lumbar spines. Methods Through a literature review and expert consensus process, diagnostic biomarkers for CMT were selected based on the listing system in thoracic and lumbar radiograph anterior-posterior (AP) and lateral views. Results 1. Diagnostic biomarkers were derived from four points on the outer contour of the vertebral body in the thoracic and lumbar spine radiograph lateral view, enabling the diagnosis of flexion and extension malposition. 2. Additional diagnostic biomarkers were identified in the thoracic and lumbar radiographAP view, utilizing points on the outer contour of the vertebral body. These biomarkers facilitate the diagnosis of lateral bending. Moreover, biomarkers derived from the innermost point of the pedicle contour allow for the diagnosis of rotation malposition. 3. Furthermore, through the biomarkers proposed in this study, all malpositions of the thoracolumbar spines and complex Type I and II malpositions can be diagnosed in CMT. Conclusions The biomarkers reported in this study consist of minimal points to determine the position of the vertebral body, providing the advantage of simplicity while minimizing potential errors during the CMT diagnostic process. Further clinical research and the development of related programs should be pursued to expand the evidence for CMT.

Recent work by Shin and Sarkar (1996) examines model misspecification problems for nonstationary time series. Shin and Sarkar introduce a general regression model with integrated errors and one system of integrated regressors and discuss the limiting distributions of the OLS estimators and the usual OLS statistics such as $\hat{\sigma^2}$t, DW and $R^2$. We analyze three different model misspecification problems through a Monte Carlo study and investigate each model misspecification problem. Our Monte Carlo experiments show that DW and $R^2$ can be in general used as diagnostic tools to detect spurious regression, misspecification of nonstationary autoregressive and polynomial regression models.
This paper considers a linear regression model with space and time data in where the disturbances follow spatially correlated error components. We provide the best linear unbiased predictor for the one way error components. We provide the best linear unbiased predictor for the one way error component model with spatial autocorrelation. Further, we derive two diagnostic test statistics for the assessment of model specification due to spatial dependence and random effects as an application of the Lagrange Multiplier principle.
The paper presents a diagnostic tool for analyzing the bit intermodulation in D/A converter. Bit intermodulation cause linearity errors which degrade the performance of the converter. A linear transformation of the Walsh transform of the integrated non-linearity diagram is shown to be sufficient to extract the bit intermodulation terms and their noise sensitivity. Practical applicability of the proposed method is shown by measurement.
The purpose of this study is to examine meaning, factors, and diagnostic method of underachievers in mathematics and to propose the idea of the individualized teaching method for underachievers. For the first purpose, previous literatures on underachievers are reviewed. For the second purpose, this study described the procedure of developing the individualized instructional program, and the method of diagnosing and prescribing errors in mathematics. In the future, individualized instructional program need to be developed based on correct diagnosis of factors effecting under achievement for the effective teaching of underachievers.
A new physical/statistical diagnostic downscale model has been developed for use to improve near-surface air temperature forecasts. The model includes a series of physical and statistical correction methods that account for un-resolved topographic and land-use effects as well as statistical bias errors in a low-resolution atmospheric model. Operational temperature forecasts of the Local Data Assimilation and Prediction System (LDAPS) were downscaled at 100 m resolution for three months, which were used to validate the model's physical and statistical correction methods and to compare its performance with the forecasts of the Korea Meteorological Administration Post-processing (KMAP) system. The validation results showed positive impacts of the un-resolved topographic and urban effects (topographic height correction, valley cold air pool effect, mountain internal boundary layer formation effect, urban land-use effect) in complex terrain areas. In addition, the statistical bias correction of the LDAPS model were efficient in reducing forecast errors of the near-surface temperatures. The new high-resolution downscale model showed better agreement against Korean 584 meteorological monitoring stations than the KMAP, supporting the importance of the new physical and statistical correction methods. The new physical/statistical diagnostic downscale model can be a useful tool in improving near-surface temperature forecasts and diagnostics over complex terrain areas.
