  • Recently, as a vehicle black box device has propagated, it has been increasingly used as a legal proof and there are the needs to verify an integrity of the video data. However, since the black box classified as the embedded system has a small capacity and low processing speed, there are limitations to the storage of video files and the integrity verification processing. In this paper, we propose a novel method for video files integrity in the black box environment with limited resources by using lightweight hash function LSH and the security of HMAC. We also present the test results of CPU idle rate at integrity verification in vehicle black box device by implementing this method, and verify the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed method.

  • The Mobile device like smart phone is a small computing device and easy to carry around. The Mobile devices are wildly being used as desktop personal computer and can served individual services. Because of compatibility of applications working on mobile devices are not good, so developer need to develop it that match changes in platform fetures. In this paper, we design and implementate ubiquitous healthcare monitoring system that can be runs on many different platforms using HTML5 as a standard web development language and jQuery as a javascript library. Ubiquitous healthcare monitoring system is runs on on many different platforms like mobile platforms and desktop web browsers.

  • The paper contributes to a traffic analysis for the CDMA cellular base station with repeater which are operated in a cell site. Usually the repeaters' traffic of the CDMA cellular system hardly could be separated from that of the base station because the links of the repeaters are divided from RF circuits of the base station. The paper introduces a traffic measuring method that separates the traffic of repeaters from that of the base station using time delay device. To get general results we use a single BTS(Base station Transceiver Subsystem) with three repeater as well as a single BTS with a single repeater. Then we proved that the traffic of the repeaters could separate from that of the base station clearly.

  • Recently, the interest of Wireless Power Transmission(WPT) has been increased for Mobile device application. It is necessary to analyze interference between wireless devices for the efficient use of frequency resource. The Minimum Coupling Loss(MCL) method and the Monte Carlo(MC) method were used for the interference analysis. In this paper, the impact of the 3rd order harmonics of the wireless charger for Cellular Phone on the existing Radio Modem was analyzed. As a result, the separation distance and the allowable number of interferer on the basis of service radius were obtained to protect the Radio Modem from the wireless charger for Cellular Phone.

  • Information-centric networks operate under the assumption that all network components have built-in caching capabilities. Integrating the caching strategies of information centric networking (ICN) with wireless virtualization improves the gain of virtual infrastructure content caching. In this paper, we propose a framework for software-defined information centric virtualized wireless device-to-device (D2D) networks. Enabling D2D communications in virtualized ICN increases the spectral efficiency due to reuse and proximity gains while the software-defined network (SDN) as a platform also simplifies the computational overhead. In this framework, we propose a joint virtual resource and cache allocation solution for latency-sensitive applications in the next-generation cellular networks. As the formulated problem is NP-hard, we design low-complexity heuristic algorithms which are intuitive and efficient. In our proposed framework, different services can share a pool of infrastructure items. We evaluate our proposed framework and algorithm through extensive simulations. The results demonstrate significant improvements in terms of visiting latency, end user QoE, InP resource utilization and MVNO utility gain.

  • This study focused on the increase in refugee-related discourse in Korean society with the recent inflow of asylum seekers to Jeju Island. The purpose of our study was to understand the trends in public opinion concerning the acceptance of refugees by analyzing the content of refugee-related video commentary on YouTube. Topic modeling was conducted to analyze the main points, context, and ideas in the comments. The results indicated that the media mainly focus on the pros and cons of refugees, restricting the refugee issue to the problem of acceptance with a narrow focus on the case of Jeju Island. Refugee acceptance was treated as overwhelmingly unacceptable in the comments. We found that commenters often used negative discourse in the comments as a device for reproducing and amplifying hate speech.

  • We propose a flow admission control (FAC) for setting up a wire-speed connection for new flows based on their negotiated bandwidth. It also terminates a flow that does not have a packet transmitted within a certain period determined by the users. The FAC can be used to provide a reliable transmission of user datagram and transmission control protocol applications. If the period of flows can be set to a short time period, we can monitor active flows that carry a packet over networks during the flow period. Such powerful flow management can also be applied to security systems to detect a denial-of-service attack. We implement a network processor called a flow management network processor (FMNP), which is the second generation of the device that supports FAC. It has forty reduced instruction set computer core processors optimized for packet processing. It is fabricated in 65-nm CMOS technology and has a 40-Gbps process performance. We prove that a flow router equipped with an FMNP is better than legacy systems in terms of throughput and packet loss.

  • Small area and low power implementation are important requirements for various multimedia processing hardware, especially for mobile environment. This paper presents a hardware architecture of H.264/AVC Intra Prediction module aiming on small area and low power. A single arithmetic unit was shared and processed sequentially for all mode decisions and computations to predict an image frame. As a result, we could get smaller area and smaller memory size compared to other existing implementations. The proposed architecture was verified using the Altera Excalibur device, and the implemented hardware has been described in Verilog-HDL and synthesized on Samsung STD130 0.18um CMOS Standard Cell Library using Synopsys Design Compiler. The synthesis result was about 11.9K logic gates and 1078 byte internal SRAM and the maximum operating frequency was 107Mhz. It consumes 879,617 clocks to process one QCIF frame, which means it can process 121.5 QCIF$(176\times144)$ frames per second, therefore it shows that it can be used for real time H.264/AVC encoding of various multimedia applications.

  • While researches and studies on short distance wireless communications have been actively carried out, studies on many applications of short distance wireless communications focusing on user-oriented Mobile device are also in progress. Since Bluetooth has several advantages that existing short distance communication does not have, studies on standardization have been carried out focusing on SIG, and IEEE has also jointly studied on this. Bluetooth is a short distance wireless communication technology that can be usefully applied to various kinds of applications. In this regard, this thesis presents payment system using Bluetooth, out of several application technologies of Bluetooth. This payment system is based on the scenario in which secure piconet is formed focusing on the user, the user gets in the car, fill up the gas at the gas station using his own Mobile device and pay The secure payment system presented in this thesis is designed to complement the weakness of existing Bluetooth in terms of security and to secure several requirements of security required for payment using short distance wireless communication.

  • In this paper, we introduce the case study on the certificate system for Auto Meter Reading protocol, Device Language Message Specification which is a common language between metering devices and protocol with compatibility and conformance to the IEC 62056 standards. KEPCO has contributed to improve interoperability between different devices of multi vendors through the DLMS standard tests and led the smart metering industry in Korea. KEPCO has AMR system and successful business model for 550 thousands of households based on 24Mbps broadband powerline communications using its infrastructure. We have plan to continue on standardization activities stratagemically by participating in IEC working groups for the purpose of occupying the core technology of Smart Gird.
