Results : Firstly, the level of total perceived stress of the mothers of children with cerebral palsy was 44.28/75, and the average of the items of the perceived stress was 2.95/5. The highest level of subcategory of the perceived stress, 10.82/15, was in parent role stress, and the lowest level of subcategory of the perceived stress, 3.88/10, was in children developmental stress. There were statistically significant differences in the mother's level of stress according to their ages, employment, occupation, and daily activity time and sleeping time. Secondly, the level of life-satisfaction was 3.17/7, and statistically significant difference was found by the treatment cost. • This study was a survey study to provide the base data necessary to prepare efficient management plans for the mothers with disabled children by type, comparing degrees of disability acceptance, stress, coping method and wellness between mothers with physical functional disordered children and developmental disordered children. The study subjects were a mother who raises disordered children. Data collection was conducted from October 2018 to April 2019, and differences between the two groups were analyzed as t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation. In results, Studies have shown that there are differences between the two groups as mothers with physical functional disordered children and mothers with developmental disordered children as degrees of disability acceptance, stress, treatment and wellness. Disability acceptance and coping method of mothers with physical functional disordered children (r=0.23, p=.033), disability acceptance and Wellness (r=0.51, p<.001) have shown positive correlations and disability acceptance and stress (r=-0.72, p<.001) have shown negative correlations. Disability acceptance and wellness (r=0.40, p<.001) of the mother with a developmental disordered child have shown a significant positive correlation, and disability acceptance and stress (r=-0.71, p<.001) have shown a significant negative correlations. The higher the degree of disability acceptance, the lower the stress level and the higher the coping method and wellness mothers with physical functional disordered children had. The higher disability acceptance, the lower stress degrees and the higher wellness degrees mothers with developmental disordered children had. In order to improve disability acceptance by mothers with physical functional disordered children, it was necessary to improve both coping methods and wellness with stress reducing strategy, while the mother with developmental disordered children were needed strategies to reduce stress and improve wellness.

  • Objective : This study aims to figure out the effect that sensory integration group therapy has on the fine motor, social interaction and playfulness of preschool children with intellectual disability. Methods : Participants were four children from three to five years old who were diagnosed with intellectual disabilities and they participated in twelve sessions of sensory integration group therapy, sixty minutes per session and once a week. Sensory integration group therapy was composed of parallel and peer play-centered gross motor activities, art activities and sensory plays that were related to each theme. Erhardt Developmental Prehension Assessment (EDPA), Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale (PIPPS) and Test of Playfulness (ToP) were used to evaluate participants' fine motor, social interaction and playfulness before and after the intervention. Results of fine motor, social interaction and playfulness before and after the intervention were compared using Wilcoxon matched-pair signed rank test. Results : After sensory integration group therapy intervention, the fine motor skills of participants did not show significant increases, but social interaction and playfulness showed significant increases (p< .05). Conclusion : Although sensory integration group therapy with preschool children with intellectual disability did not show positive improvement in fine motor skills, it showed positive effect on social interaction and playfulness. Group sensory integration therapy might be an intervention approach for all children with disabilities.

  • In the modern society, instructional methods using diverse media have appeared thanks to the development of Information & Communication Technology, and applicability of such instructional methods has been fully corroborated. However, customized contents allowing for disabled children's environment are still insufficient. Hence, this study produced educational contents of play activities for children with developmental disability, through applying N-screen technology, IT technology that can provide the same contents via a variety of digital media. The produced contents allow programs to be set up according to a child's individual characteristics and be carried out anywhere and anytime via an Internet-enabled digital device. Further, the developed contents were produced so that they could be accessed from a child's various environment (home, school, etc.) via a PC, a smart phone, a portable from a child's various environment (home, school, etc.) via a PC, a smart phone, a portable device, etc. and that the same educational program could be conducted in linkage at home, school, etc. Three children with Intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder were applied to the manufactured content. As a result, Content interaction between interaction between teachers and students in play training could use as a medium. In addition, the children's ability to select the appropriate components and reinforcements, special education professionals have used the content of the interviews are helpful in mediation than the existing content.

Result : The difference between parenting stress with and without sensory defensiveness and level of quality of life was only shown in parenting stress, and the correlation between parenting stress with and without sensory defensiveness and quality of life indicated negative correlation in both sensory defensiveness and no sensory defensiveness group(r=-0.52, r=-0.65, p<0.05). This study found there was significant difference between quality of life factors affecting parenting stress of parents and parenting stress factors affecting quality of life in sensory defensiveness and no sensory defensiveness group. Conclusion : The study showed that clinicians must develop appropriative intervention program with sensory defensiveness or without sensory defensiveness for decreasing parenting stress and increasing quality of life for their parents.

Among the 24 children with cerebral palsy as the subjects were allocated to the experimental and control group. Both groups were subjected to neuro-developmental treatment, with the experimental group performing family-centered intervention program for 40 minutes, 3 times a week for 12 weeks. Assessments were conducted before intervention, after 6 weeks and 12 weeks of intervention on gross motor function and performance, static and dynamic balance. Results : Although there was significant difference in the gross motor function and performance after 12 weeks of intervention, the mean scores of the experimental group increased more after 12 weeks of intervention than those of the control group with significant difference between the groups. Although there was significant difference in the static and dynamic balance after 12 weeks of intervention, the mean values of the experimental group decreased more after 12 weeks of intervention than those of the control group with significant difference between the groups. Conclusion : Therefore, these results suggest that on family-centered intervention on children with cerebral palsy can be provided as an beneficial and reliable clinical intervention program in development on gross motor and balance.
