This study is about architectural design for rural housing block redevelopment for districts with existing residents considering sustainable development. The study suggests development direction focusing on preserving the regional characteristics, and presentation of suburban-style housing complex reflecting on the future tenant's individuality and demand. The preexisting development approach for suburban-style housing complex which was planned by the developer, failed to recognize taste of the future tenants. Profitability being the priority, it also resulted in a serious environmental disruption. In this development however, through a systematic direction for site development and site analysis, conducting surveys through future tenants, attempted for a continuous growth of the community. The study is presented covering the following areas; site's pathway system, nature conservation plan, lot plan, land use, arrangement plan, housing plan and community facility.

Super In Plane Switching (S-IPS) technology is applied for large TFT-LCD panels used in TV applications. It has a lot of advantages in comparison to the alternative, VA technology. S-IPS shows excellent viewing angle properties and fast response time between intermediate gray levels. If the performance parameters which describe the actual visual performance are considered, S-IPS is much more $advantageous.^{1)}$ However, it shows relatively low contrast ratio in diagonal direction compared to viewing angle characteristic in upper/down direction in S-IPS. In order to compensate the relatively low diagonal contrast ratio, Super-IPS applying for optical film developed, but Super-IPS still has the problem of color shift in black $pattern.^{2)}$ So we improved this problem by developing Enhanced Super-IPS.

본 연구는 지하철 노선망에 따른 각 역들의 접근도를 산출하는데 있어 그래프 이론을 수정한 모델을 적용하여 접근도의 변화가 공간구조에 미치는 영향력을 분석한 것이다. 사례지역은 지하철 제 1기와 2기 노선의 증설에 따라 접근도가 상당히 향상된 건대역 주변으로, 접근도의 변화에 따른 역세권의 지가와 토지이용의 변화를 고찰하였다. 지하철 개통 전${\cdot}$후를 중심으로 지가의 상승이 두드러졌으며, 간선도로변에서의 상승율이 더 크게 나타나고 있다. 제 2기 노선의 건설로 인해 간선돌변 뿐만 아니라 지선도로변에서도 지가의 상승과 고밀도화된 토지이용이 이루어지고 있다. 환승역인 건대역의 역세권역은 상세계획지구로 설정되어있어 앞으로 고밀도화된 상업지구로 개발될 예정이다. 본 연구에서는 앞으로 새로운 강북 동부의 중심지로서의 기능을 수행해 나갈 수 있도록 보다 종합적인 개발방향을 모색하였다.

This study conducted a survey and investigated students' opinions and design preferences to physical education (PE) uniforms for elementary, middle and high school students using PE uniforms for the following purposes: to increase satisfaction with PE uniforms; present basic data for the development of PE uniforms helping to improve the quality of school life; and propose the development direction of PE uniforms. PE uniforms shall be developed with the components of uniforms, symbolism, functionality and aesthetics. The symbolism of PE uniforms expresses the affiliations of people wearing them and makes them have a sense of affiliation. The functionality presents convenience in students' physical activities and intramural/extracurricular activities. The aesthetics reflects the aesthetically sophisticated sport wear trend in PE uniforms. The development direction of PE uniforms was organized based on the result of analyzing and investigating students' opinions and design preferences to PE uniforms. There were differences in students' opinions and preferences to PE uniforms according to the type of student groups (elementary, middle and high school). In addition, there were clear gender-differences in the same student group. An effort might be required to reflect students' preferences because PE uniforms which students had currently worn at school had been manufactured without the reflection of students' opinions.

The purpose of this study was to develop a brand naming strategy for rural specialty products of Muju. This study was to apply brand development research to the field. The selected investigation subject, a local farming operation producing a specialty product, was chosen from a New Enterprise Support Project of Farm Women ('06). The selected subject was a farming operation producing bokbunja drink in Muju. The data was derived from 137 female consumers. The major results of this study were as follows. First, the process of brand development strategy was advanced by six steps: Step 1, environment analysis; Step 2, brand case study; Step 3, SWOT analysis (Strength Weakness, Opportunity, Threat factor analysis); Step 4, direction design for brand naming development (Targeting, Brand focus concept extraction); Step 5, brand logo and symbol production; and Step6, Evaluation. Second, to extract brand naming development direction, key concepts in association with natural connection, area features, representative resources, and natural friendship were investigated. Namely, the health function concept was selected on the basis of a consumer recognition investigation where results appeared most highly favorable. Also, it was decided that the direction of brand naming should emphasize a green image and the location name of Muju. Finally, the brand name was decided to be "Saenggichan" bokbunja liquid and the slogan went with "guchondon-native thorn bokbunja from jar maturing."

This study suggests a direction for design development through an analysis of the experiential rental Hanbok design in Jeonju Hanok Village. As a research method, 268 outfit photographs of tourists wearing experiential rental Hanbok for women were collected as design analysis data from Jeonju Hanok Village. Frequency analysis was then performed by dividing into form, color, material·pattern, and detail. The controversy over the design of experiential rental Hanbok revolves around how and how much tradition is reflected. This is a very important part of the design analysis and development direction. If necessary, traditionality was discussed using the Hanbok style of the Joseon Dynasty as a standard. Development directions derived from the analysis are summarized as follows. First, avoid the distorted shape of skirts. Second, develop underwear for traditional silhouettes. Third, expand traditional colorations and avoid the excessive use of accent colors. Fourth, it is necessary to develop rental Hanbok materials with decorative features. Fifth, there is a need to design flat pattern construction for rental Hanbok that reflects a standardized production method and a changed aesthetics.

본 연구는 스마트시티의 발전과 고도화를 위해 스마트도시서비스 지원기관이 나아가야 할 발전방향에 대해 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 첫째, 스마트도시서비스 지원기관의 필요성과 법적근거, 주요기능 등에 대해 이론적으로 검토하였다. 둘째, 스마트도시서비스 지원기관의 기능영역별 현황을 검토하고 기능영역별 상대적 중요도 도출 및 의견수렴을 위한 전문가 심층인터뷰를 수행하였다. 셋째, 이론적 검토와 기능별 현황파악, 우선순위 도출, 전문가 의견 수렴 등을 종합한 스마트도시서비스 지원기관의 발전방향을 제시하였다. 본 연구결과는 향후 국내 스마트시티 사업에서 핵심적인 역할을 수행할 것으로 예상되는 스마트도시서비스 지원기관의 역할과 기능, 그리고 향후 발전방향을 제시하였다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.

This study investigated the direction of program development in emotional education through storytelling without separating intellectual education in current schooling. As the basic research on program development for elementary school students' emotional intelligence, this study examined how storytelling affects program development in emotional education, and the direction of program contents and structures using storytelling. Firstly, current storytelling and existing programs used for emotional education were analyzed and the direction of program development in emotional education was investigated. Secondly, the structures and procedures of programs for emotional education through storytelling were examined. Finally, stressed contents and items by each factor consisting of emotional intelligence related to the curriculum, and more discussions to consider were inquired. For systematic emotional education, there must be efforts made on developing contents of each factor comprising emotional intelligence; and teaching must be done through the interrelatedness among home, society and school. Furthermore, the construction of social system across the country is required. In conclusion, this study suggest the emotional education needs new curricula based on narrative, because it is dependent on personal emotions and situations.

This study aims to report on the problems of the Korean woodcraft in the past and to suggest a new direction for the development strategy, in line with the government policy to promote domestic craft culture industry. This includes the problems of the woodcraft in Korea which have been raising in contest-exhibits organized not only by industry and academia, but also by government. The survey asked 48 people (24 in industry and 24 in academia) shows as follows. The most serious problem shown in industry is the government-sponsored issue and it should be premised on offering the market in this case. The question in academia reports that the academic world little contributes to the development in industrial circles of the woodcraft, and the problematic issues of the contests are the appraisal standard and the method of evaluation. In brief, the government's aggressive support should be always first and foremost for the woodcraft industry which is often confronted with difficulties in research & development and in securing distribution channels due to it' small scale of business. Furthermore, the government-led contest and certificate of qualifications should be redesign for filling the original purpose and throughly carried out for the development of industries. Also university curriculum being far too disconnected from industries now should be focused on the collaboration between industry and university, the training mission and the related seminars to overhaul the contents of the department of the woodcraft and to create a progressive direction for the future accordingly.
