The current progress in computer and electrical engineering has enabled the construction industry to implement innovative technologies in design and engineering. However, the construction segment is still largely based on experience, and this makes it difficult to meet the recent rigorous specifications, especially in the highway construction. This paper describes the current progress and the findings in the development of the computer integrated asphalt paving system, which is expected to assist the equipment operators to construct the quality pavement. The technologies to collect the required information, preferably in real-time, were reviewed comprehensively, and the selected technologies are proposed for the future development. Positional and thermal data were collected at the sample project in real-time to verify the capability of the available technologies. The collected data was analyzed using multiple regression method to confirm the significant factors for the compaction of the sample project, and to develop the empirical model, which can be adopted in the future system.

Various carbon upcycling technologies have been proposed and are under development to achieve Korea's carbon neutrality target. Many chemical reactions are under development through various chemical reaction pathways, and different technological maturity levels are shown for each country and company. In this situation, it is essential to establish investment decisions such as research funds and human resources allocation through technological and economic analysis for close commercialization technologies and basic technologies with low technology readiness levels (TRL). Therefore, in this study, the technology development priority for developing carbon upcycling items was selected according to the domestic Carbon Capture & Utilization (CCU) technology roadmap using the stakeholder selection tool released by EU CarbonNext. As a result of the analysis, the TRL level of Korea's major carbon upcycling technologies was analyzed to be lower than that of other carbon resource technologies, and it was considered desirable to invest in mineral carbonization technologies among various candidate technologies.

As the unmanned aerial vehicle industry and its related technologies grow each year, the number of abuse cases caused by drones is increasing. In addition to the invasion of privacy caused by indiscriminate photography, terrorism using unmanned aerial vehicles, which have a low detection probability, high location accuracy, and the capability of targeting people or places, as well as carrying chemicals, radiation materials, and small bombs, is becoming a significant problem around the world. Accordingly, many companies are developing anti-drone solutions that consist of various technologies such as radar, EO/IR cameras, and RF jammers to detect and disable unmanned aerial vehicles. This article briefly introduces the recent R&D trends and technical levels of anti-drone technologies.

The development of remediation technologies in the contaminated coastal area from oil spill is essential for solving environmental disaster. Many countries including USA, France and United Kingdom have tried to make novel remediation techniques and predict oil dispersion in the ocean and coastal line by using their own models. To develop new technology of remediation, this research in advance was carried out the status of domestic and international remediation technologies and tried to suggest future research plan for developing new remediation technologies considering geographical characteristics of Korea peninsula.

Computer game has become the core part of multimedia and entertainment in our knowledge and information based society We are competitive in developing 2D games. However, we have difficulties in maintaining the competitive edge in the area of 3D game technologies owing to the limited funds and technologies. Game engines are very useful to develop high-quality 3D games. In this paper, we discuss game engines and development of contents, and also present a development case of 3D games using Dream3D.

The Metaverse industry is developing rapidly, and related technologies are being actively improved. Tools such as controllers, keyboards, and mouses are used to interact in the Metaverse, but they are not natural and intuitive interfaces to resemble real-world interactions. Immersive interaction in a Metaverse space requires the engagement of various senses such as vision, touch, and proprioception. Moreover, in terms of body senses, it requires a sense of body ownership and agency. In addition, eliciting cognitive and emotional empathy based on non-verbal expression, which cannot be suitably conveyed to the digital world, requires higher-level technologies than existing emotion measurement solutions. This diversity of technologies can converge to build an immersive realistic Metaverse environment. We review the latest research trends in technologies related to immersive interactions and analyze future development prospects.

The Semantic web service is able to intelligently discover, execute, composite and monitor the Web Service. It constructs the ontology on Web Service and describes the Semantic Markup in the machine-readable form. The currently developing technologies of the Semantic Web Service discovery are DAML-S matchmaker in Carnegie Mellon University, Process Handbook in MIT and etc. In this paper, we propose the ontology language based on Topic Maps that supports the benefits and solves the problems of the Semantic Web Service discovery technologies .

With projections into the future advanced Korea fighter development, the trend of tactical combat aircraft powerplants technique development over the past decade is presented. Ti was particularly focused on current innovative powerplants technologies such as lower density stronger materials and turbomachniery aerodynamics. With reviewing the status of aircraft powerplants which are currently underdeveloped next generation combat aircraft, it shows some core techniques that are needed for developing Korean type combat aircraft.

본 논문에서는 모바일 인터넷에서 보안에 대해 논의한다. 무선 인터넷 사용자나 프로그램 및 네트워크 기술들이 지난 몇 년간 눈부시게 발전했다. 단말기의 제약사항으로 인하여 모바일 인터넷은 유선의 인터넷과 몇 가지 다른 구조를 가지고 있다. 무선 단말기가 갖는 제약 사항으로는 낮은 CPU 처리 능력, 제한된 메모리, 낮은 대역폭으로 유선과 같은 보안 서비스가 이뤄지지 않고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위한 보안 기법에 대해서 논의한다.

The purpose of this study is to explore how small and medium enterprises in India has identified the opportunities and challenges in adopting the Web 3.0 technologies to improve their productivity and efficiency. After an in-depth literature review, researchers framed a semi-structured questionnaire with open-ended questions for collecting responses from managers working in 40 Indian SME's representing five key economic sectors. The collected data was analyzed, and themes were encoded using the NVivo 11 computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software. Content analysis was used to analyze the data collected with the semi-structured interviews. This study identified five key themes and 12 subthemes illustrating the key advantages and challenges as perceived by the managerial leadership of SMEs. The five key themes identified in this study include integration of data and services, the creation of new functionalities, privacy and security, financial and technological challenges, and organizational challenges. The results of this study will benefit the organizational leadership of SMEs in planning and developing their short-term and long-term information systems strategies and will enable SME leaders to make optimal use of their information technology assets, improving the productivity and competitiveness of the firms. Web 3.0 technologies are considered as emerging technologies, so the advantages and challenges of using these technologies for SMEs have not been explored in the context of emerging economies, such as India.
