This study develops pant patterns using body shape, measurement and shell mesh data to decide optimal women's pants according to styles with excellent size, fit and shape for different individuals and silhouettes. Standard landmarks, lines, triangles and structures were set on a 3D scanned lower body shell to represent women in their twenties and flattened as a 2D pattern. Patterns were created and analyzed according to culotte, formal, slacks and tight type considering crotch shape, location of the crotch point, and adjusting waist darts. Flattened patterns were rotated to compare existing methods. The crease lines were then set through the hip protrusion point and compared. The main factor of the pant pattern were extracted, total rise, crotch depth, crotch width, angle of center line, shape of the center line curve, the thigh width, the amount of waist dart, and crease line position. With going tight style from the culotte, the fits are closer to the figure with minimized thigh circumference, the dart amount decreases, the crotch depth increases, the crotch extensions were shorter, and the angle of the center back increased. The total rise is U shape for culotte and is closer to V shape as the silhouette tightens. T-test of appearance evaluation of the developed pant pattern were conducted after analyzing measurements and shapes of each styles. The results of the developed patterns were superior to existing patterns in accordance to hip line between body and pants as well as appearance evaluation. We found systematic mechanisms among pattern factors that create various pant silhouettes. Evidence on classification of the silhouettes of traditional types of pants were explained objectively through the process of playing out 3D forms.

The purpose of this study was to develop a skirt pattern drafting method for korean women between the ages of $18\~24$ on the basis of their physical charcteristics which differs from those of other races in its size and figure. The study procedures and results were as follows; 1. Ten types of convantional skirt patterns were collected and compared to determine the essential measuring items for skirt construction, and to discover what problems are involved. 2. Fourteen items of KIST measurement data were analysed for correlation coefficients, to establish representative items and independent ones. 3. Front waist length and back waist length were additionally measured for supplementary data. 4. A new skirt drafting method was developed based on the results of the pattern comparison and the data analysis. 5. A sensory evaluation was applied to evaluate the new method comparing it with the most widely accepted conventional pattern. An original rating scale was developed for the evaluation and an expert panel consisting of five members judged each shell from 12 subjects by random selection. According to a statistical analysis of the result of the 17 items on the rating scale, 14 items showed significant differences (${\alpha}\leqq$0.01 or ${\alpha}\leqq$0.05) between the two, with the new pattern having better fit. The new pattern drafting method proved to be superior to the conventional one especially in the fitness at the back hip, dart length, side seam balance, and the ease for daily activities.

The aims of this study are to develop CAI programs for bodice and sleeve pattern drafting for the 3rd grade students in a middle school and to compare the students’achievement degree in using traditional teaching method with that in using CAI programs. On the basis of results above the direction and possibility of using computers in education home economics is another aim. For this study, after the programs are developed, which is on the model of middle school text book, one hundred girl students of 2nd grade of middle school in Songpa Gu, Seoul, who have never given Bodice and Sleep Pattern Drafting lesson are chosen. The students are divided into two groups: one is called comparison group, which is taught by traditional method, the other, experimental group, which is taught by CAI programs. To evalute the learning achivement degree, evaluation test, effectiveness of learning and interest degree test and time test are given. Questionaire investigation about CAI program is given to experimental group. The results of this study are as follows: 1. CAI programs on pattern drafting are developed and can be used in the class. 2. In the tests of achievement degree, of effectiveness, and of interest the experimental group gets higher scores than the comparison group. 3. In the time test about how many students can draft the pattern in a given time, in every step more students in experimental group finished drafting than the comparison group. 4. The students showed interest in CAI programs and played an active part in the using computers. Therefore, using CAI programs in the class of pattern drafting saved the teachers lots of difficulties and enables individual learning improving the effectiveness of learning. I hope the studies of CAI will be established in other field as well as Home Economics, especially clothing part, and computers will be used lively
This study developed the pants pattern, that improved appearance and gesture functions in clothes to resolve inconveniences in case of activities with being adequate in fitness of slim-fit pants for obese adolescents. The slim-fit pants pattern was developed through the fitting test after designing and making the pattern of the experimental clothing A(c/pu; 99/1%) with the primary commercial clothing as basic prototype, through the fitting test and implementation of the experimental clothing, modified and supplemented secondarily, and through the fitting test of the second experimental clothing, modified and supplemented tertiary. In terms of findings, first, as a result of analyzing the commercial slim-fit pants, it is interpreted to have projected an optical illusion, that appears to be slim due to being narrow in width of the front panel when observed from the front of the pants. Second, in the fitting test of the first experimental clothing, the prototype of commercial clothing was understood to have improved butt, crotch, waist and femoral regions. Third, pattern design of the second experimental clothing was allowed to decline abdominal pressure, in case of the sitting position, by making the crotch line in the front panel short and by handling it with a yoke belt, and was processed a difference between waist and hip circumference in the back panel, with a rubber band in the whole waist part. Fourth, in the gesture function test of the third experimental clothing, high evaluation was received in every item excluding the knee region.

Based on a 3D body data and pattern comparison analysis, this study developed a formal jacket pattern for men in their late 30s. In order to select the representative type of men in their late 30s, factor analysis and cluster analysis were conducted on data form 319 men, 35 to 39 years old using the anthropometric data from The 7th Size Korea (2015) as the representative body type. The surface of the body surface was developed using a 3D human shape of a male in his 30s in The 6th Size Korea (2010). Then the shape was changed to a flat pattern that confirmed the necessary elements for setting the shape and dimension. Cluster analysis revealed type B as the representative type because it showed the best shape characteristics for men in the late 30s. The drafting method of the final research pattern is as follows. Jacket length: stature/2.5cm, back length: stature/5+8.5cm (constant)], armhole depth: [stature/ 7-1.5cm (constant)], back width: [C/9+9.5cm (constant)]+1cm (ease), front width: [C/9+8.5cm (constant)]+1cm (ease), armscye depth: C/8, front waist darts: 1cm, front closure amount: 2cm.

The purpose of this study is to develop 3D pattern textile design of traditional Jogakbo motifs and fashion products using it. As a research method, first, through literature review, the three-dimensional representation of geometry on a plane with Jogakbo, design cases were examined. Second, through a survey, the purchase perception and design preference of Jogakbo cultural products was analyzed. Third, based on the results of the survey on color and print, the 3D pattern design for each type of Jogakbo is printed, and then textile fashion cultural products were developed. The results of this study are as follows. First, the reason why the public was not attracted to the purchase of cultural products was disatisfaction with practicality, unsuitable preference, price adequacy, aesthetics, and originality. Therefore, it was analyzed that quality, practicality, price, carry-on storage harmony and manageability, as well as aesthetic design were important factors for consumers. Second, the stereoscopic space on the plane expanded the two-dimensional plane space by forming a cube through the division and dissolution of geometry could be visualized using color expression of cubes of different brightness depending on the direction of light. Third, Jogakbo had eight types consisting of four detailed forms and three arrangement methods. The 3D pattern design could be developed through regular disolution and stereoscopic construction using Jogakbo's representative images for each type. In addition, it was found that it was easy to produce Jogakbo fashion products suitable for modern people through 3D pattern digital textile printing applying traditional colors.
Objective : This study aims to assess the potential of utilizing large language models in pattern identification education by developing a simulated patient with fatigue and dual deficiency of the heart-spleen pattern. Methods : A simulated patient dataset was constructed using the clinical practice examination module provided by the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development. The dataset was divided into patient characteristics, sample questions, and responses, and utilized to design the system, assistant, and user prompts, respectively. A web-based interface was developed using the Django framework and WebSocket. Results : We developed a simulated fatigue patient representing dual deficiency of the heart-spleen pattern through prompt engineering. To make practical tools, we further implemented web-based interfaces for the examinee's and evaluator's roles. The interface for examinees allows one to examine the simulated patient and provides access to a personalized number for future access. In addition, the interface for evaluators included a page that provided an overview of each examinees' chat history and evaluation criteria in real-time. Conclusion : This study is the first development of an educational tool integrated with a large language model for pattern identification education, which is expected to be widely applied to Korean medicine education.
This paper proposes a finger crease pattern identification algorithm utilizing a clustering method. The algorithms has been developed for the use of biometric person identification system. Since the finger crease pattern may be well-imaged utilizing low cost imaging devices such as low-end CCD camera with LED lighting, the feasibility of commercialization of the algorithm and the system utilizing the algorithm may be well justified if the finger crease pattern is a reasonable choice for the biometric feature. In this paper, we exploit this possibility and show the potential of using the finger crease pattern as a feature for biometric person identification.

I developed a high-quality metal door with a hologram-pattern design using a high-speed electroforming process. In this study, the major processes were master production, conducting grant, nickel-sulfamate acid electroforming, ablation treatment, and final dressing. The processing system was provided with a nickel sulfamate pole, and a rotary-pole PP-plating jig in a circular tank. This approach could reduce defects and errors, as much as possible, by its use of a hologram pattern to create the master of a metal door. The thin-sheet metal-creation process for the door built-in metal pattern using electroforming with hologram was successful.
