Non-deformable support system application at tunnel-34 of Ankara-Istanbul high speed railway project

  • Non-Deformable Support System (NDSS) is one of the support system analysis methods. It is likely seen as numerical analysis. Obviously, numerical modeling is the key tool for this system but not unique. Although the name of the system makes you feel that there is no deformation on the support system, it is not true. The system contains some deformation but in certain tolerance determined by the numerical analyses. The important question is what is the deformation tolerance? Zero deformation in the excavation environment is not the case, actually. However, deformation occurred after supporting is important. This deformation amount will determine the performance of the applied support. NDSS is a stronghold analysis method applied in full to make this work. While doing this, NDSS uses the properties of rock mass and material, various rock mass failure criteria, various material models, different excavation geometries, like other methods. The thing that differ NDSS method from the others is that NDSS makes analysis using the time dependent deformation properties of rock mass and engineering judgement. During the evaluation process, NDSS gives the permission of questioning the field observations, measurements and timedependent support performance. These transactions are carried out with 3-dimensional numeric modeling analysis. The goal of NDSS is to design a support system which does not allow greater deformation of the support system than that calculated by numerical modeling. In this paper, NDSS applied to the problems of Tunnel 34 of the same Project (excavated with NATM method, has a length of 2218 meters), which is driven in graphite schist, was illustrated. Results of the system analysis and insitu measurements successfully coincide with each other.

Fashion consumers' information search and sharing in new media age (뉴 미디어 시대 패션소비자의 정보 탐색과 공유)

  • As mobile shopping has increased in the new media age, fashion consumers' decision making and product consumption processes have changed. The volume of consumer-driven information has expanded since media and social networking sites have enabled consumers to share information they obtain. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors affecting information searching strategies and information sharing about fashion products. An online survey collected data from 466 respondents, relating to the influence of product price level and consumer SNS commitment level on information search and information sharing. Experimental design of three product price level and two consumer SNS commitment level was used. Analysis of the data identified factors in fashion information searching as ongoing searching, prepurchase web portal information search, and prepurchase marketing information search. For low-price fashion products, prepurchase product-detail influenced intention to share information. For mid-priced products, ongoing search significantly affected intention to share information. Both ongoing search and prepurchase marketing information search showed significant effects for high-price products. Consumers who are more committed to SNS engaged in significantly more searching in all aspects of information search factors. Significant interaction effect was detected for consumer SNS commitment level and product price level. When consumers with low consumer SNS commitment search for information on lower-priced fashion products, they are less likely do a prepurchase web portal information search.

  • Textile industry of Korea has been assumed advanced textile industry nation's aspects with production system and equipment. But has been descended in the sector of design, brand, recognition comparing with Italy, Japan, England. And products of middle and low price do not have competitiveness against China, South East Asia. The world's textile industry nation has been confronted with Free Trade, and Regional Trade Blocks. New market has been opened with free Trade, but Trade Blocks(NAFTA, EU, APEC etc.) which encourage regional member country's profit maximize made textile export driven nation to consider strategies to cope with. Advanced textile industry nation divided the work among themselves and composed linking system among them which highly valuable products are manufactured at advanced nation and low price products are manufactured by global outsourcing. The purpose of this study is to analyze impact of process which requires to secure international competitiveness into business performance experimentally.

  • This paper designed an Internet Convention e-Portal Information System through an experience and knowledges accumulated in case of information utilization regarding international meeting and conventions in knowledge information societies. Established the Non-stop Cluster system that was the H/W side, L4 and the applied system which was the 3-tier structure and Firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS security control system, S/W side, that utilized the WAS MVC architecture used WAS and a SOA architecture. an ASP EAI function. A user and a manager, designs and constructor, the user efficiency who were an evaluation basis of a Verification commissioner, Ubiquitous evaluated system stability. Information security anger, and evaluated former system and comparison. Therefore is evaluated to the excellent Convention e-Portal Systems that a performance 25.9% improvement consisted of compare with the existing Convention e-Portal Systems, and will contribute so as to be able to carry out-driven enemy role in development of the industrial our country Convention Ubiquitous Internet IT information Industry and International Society Conventions.

  • Supervisory control is an approach based on formal language. it is used to model and control discrete event systems in which each discrete event process is represented as an automation. A supervisor is a generator that switches control patterns in such a way that a given discrete evenet process behaves in obedience to various constraints. A flexible manufacturing cell (FMC) is one of discrete evenet systems. Functions necessary for the operation of an FMC are characterized by operational components and informational compoments. The operational components can be modeled using the finite state machines and the informational components can be modeled using the abstract formalism which describes supporting operations of the cell controller. In this paper, we addressed function required for FMC control specification, software engineering aspects on FMC control based on supervisory control, a concept of event queue for resolving synchronization problem, and complexity reduction. Based on the mathematical model of an FMC. we synthesized the controller by integrating a supervisor for FMC with control specification that specifies event-driven operation of the cell controller. The proposed control scheme is stable mathematically so that the system always behaves on a controlled way even under the existence of uncontrollable events. Furthermore, using an event queue concept, we can solve a synchronization problem caused by the violation of instantaneity assumption of supervisory control theory in real life situation. And also, we can propotype a control software rapidly due to the modularity of the proposed control scheme.

  • With the rising popularity of food shows driven by the development of information and communication technologies, food-incorporated broadcasting programs based on various materials are produced in large numbers. This situation has raised a need for each program to examine viewers' preference factors for planning intentions in order to produce competitive programs. This study thus examined viewers' preference factors for food programs and planning intentions and discovered total three factors. The first factor places importance on practicality and entertainment and enjoys food and food programs as a means of resting. The second factor searches for specialized information and focuses on the essential meanings of food and the delivery of the right information. Finally, The third factor gets satisfaction from interactions with food programs and finds joy in storytelling and communication provided by broadcasting programs. These factors have different tendencies from one another, and the present study proposed a concept design for food broadcasting programs based on them.

Study on Clinical Patient-oriented Education System for Medical Organizations (의료기관에서의 환자 중심 교육 시스템 연구)

  • Recent healthcare studies evaluate the effective impacts of a patient educational information intervention in hospitals on adherence to communicating knowledge, life quality, and therapeutic response in patients treated with highly active therapy in medical organizations. Therefore, the aim of this study is to design and implement the effective and systematic frameworks by providing clinical patient-oriented education system(CPES), which enhances health promotion and medical cures. CPES initiatives accelerate positive financial returns with network-driven educational system. To validate the CPES, the author analyzes the efficiency and effectiveness using statistical survey works. With this outcome, it is compared with previous system. One of the findings is that the system can improve compliance with treatment right dietetics and give patients self-manage their conditions in S hospital. Patients' acknowledge of their condition and its treatment process can be improved through the educational systems.

Kinematic Correction and a Design for Velocity Trajectory to Reduce an Odometer Error of Wheeled-Mobile Robots (구륜 이동 로봇의 주행오차 감소를 위한 기구학적 보정과 속도궤적의 설계)

  • This paper presents methods for reducing odometer errors caused by kinematic imperfections in wheeled mobile robots. Wheel diameters and wheelbase are corrected by using encoders without landmarks. And a new velocity trajectory is proposed that compensates for an orientation error due to acceleration-resolution constraints on motor controllers. Based on this velocity trajectory, the wheel velocity of one out of two driven wheels may be changed by the traveled distance of the mobile robot. It is shown that a wheeled mobile robot can't move along a straight line exactly, even if kinematic correction are achieved perfectly, and this phenomenon is attributable to acceleration-resolution constraints on motor controllers. We experiment on a wheeled mobile robot with 2 d.o.f. and discuss the results.

Fast Computation of DWT and JPEG2000 using GPU (GPU를 이용한 DWT 및 JPEG2000의 고속 연산)

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient method for Processing DWT (Discrete Wavelet Transform) on GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). Since the DWT and EBCOT (embedded block coding with optimized truncation) are the most complicated submodules in JPEG2000, we design a high-performance processing framework for performing DWT using the fragment shader of GPU based on the render-to-texture (RTT) architecture. Experimental results show that the performance increases significantly, in which DWT running on modern GPU is more than 10 times faster than on modern CPU. Furthermore, by replacing the DWT part of Jasper which is the JPEG2000 reference software, the overall processing is 2$\sim$16 times faster than the original JasPer. The GPU-driven render-to-texture architecture proposed in this paper can be used in the general image and computer vision processing for high-speed processing.

  • In recent years, the need for more fuel-efficient and lower-emission vehicles has driven the technical development of alternative fuels such as LPi (Liquid phase LPG injection) which uses pump for the high pressure supply of liquid LPG fuel and is able to meet the limits of better emission levels while it has an advantage of higher power. Although it has the advantage of power and lower emission levels, the characteristics of LPG, such as high vapor pressure, lower viscosity and surface tension than gasoline fuels makes it difficult design system. Therefore most fuel pumps and injectors are imported. In the present study, in order to domestically develop LPG injector which guarantees flow rates and optimal operation, the experimental investigation on leakage and flow rate characteristics of developed prototype injector was carried out at the bench test rig for developed injector.
