Vacuum-assisted thermoforming is one of the critical steps for successful application of film insert molding(FIM) to parts of complex shape. In this study, the simulations and experiments of thermoforming processes were performed to investigate the effects of process conditions on thickness distribution and printed pattern deformation of films in vacuum-assisted thermoforming. The film thickness uniformity increased with decreasing film heating time, whereas it increased with increasing vacuum delay time. After thermoforming of films with uniform pattern space of 5mm, the maximum space was 9.432mm. Based on the simulation, a modified pattern was calculated to obtain uniform spaces after thermoforming. In the experiments for film with the modified pattern, the maximum space appeared 5.837mm. In, addition. the predicted patterns were in good agreement with the experimental results.

The wave-pattern analysis has been one of important research tools in the towing tank, and applied for hull form design. The longitudinal-cut method of Newman and Sharma is adopted in KRIS deep towing tank. Instrumentations and data acquisition systems are developed for that. Local effects and truncation effects are estimated by using calculated wave patterns of simple source distributions. Wigley model of 2m is used to check the accuracy of the whole system. Cut positions and truncation points are changed to investigate characteristics of the wave-pattern analysis. Coefficients of wave-pattern resistance are low-estimated in comparison with those of Maruo and Ikehata. The general quality of the system is very good, but some more efforts to increase the accuracy are required. Two full-form models(one basic form, the other with bulbous bow) are tested to show high application-possibilities of the wave-pattern analysis for the hull form design.

The purpose of this study was performed to investigate the effects of self-foot reflexology on the stress, fatigue and sleep pattern of the nursing students. The research design was non-equivalent control group pretest and posttest design. The data were collected from January 18 to April 15, 2016. The participants were 68 nursing students. The instruments used for the study were the stress, fatigue, and sleep pattern. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 21.0 program. In order to compare the effect of the pre-post self foot reflexology, t-test was employed. There was significant differences in stress after providing self foot reflexology. but There was not significant differences in fatigue and sleep pattern after providing self foot reflexology. In conclusion, These findings suggest that self foot reflexology could be utilized as an effective nursing intervention to reduce stress.

The purpose of this research was to develop an automatic design with dialogue function in computer for pants pattern making. AutoCAD including AutoLISP was the programable software package, so AutoCAD were used basically for this research. The conclusions were like these; 1. Dialogue functions of computer allowed the designer to choose emotional elements. 2. The coordinate points needed in drafting for women's pants pattern making were suggest-ed by numerical fomula. So, if the input data of body sizes needed were used, pants patterns for person were automatically obtained as the output. 3. The several curvature parts were presented by using exponent function and the arc drawing of AutoCAD and the degree of bends were to be selected by choosing the simple parameter of algebraic function and arc AutoCAD command. 4. The program permited pattern manipulation and pattern grading of five standard sizes were presented. Also its flow chart by AutoLISP with dialogue function were presented.

As our world is becoming more and more globalized, nations tend to turn their interests towards their unique legacy and traditional culture. This research is intended to re-illuminate the Korean beauty through the Lotus Pattern, a traditional factor, from the Chosun Dynasty, and at the same time, analyze how its peculiar representation and figural elements can be reflected in modern fashion designs. The results will be an essential factor in creating exclusive and original designs. Research method was theoretical research from documents and to refer to positive data on preserved relics, and research contents consists of analysis on the use of lotus patterns in artworks that were exhibited during 2000 to 2008 by Korean and foreign artists. Results showed that lotus patterns that were used during the Chosun Dynasty are categorized by shape, composition form, and structural form. Applying these results, a total of 8 works were designed and created.

Grid serves as an auxiliary instrument that explains design logically and objectively when you designing an interior. But grid is unacceptable to the space which is produced by designer who wants to express a design subjectively. Because grid makes usual and standardized space without flexibility. Changing and developing a fundamental unit with modern touch is going to be a way compensate for the weakpoint Also versatile grid unit can support the designer's subjective intention. This study focuses on the limits of Wright's house which show interior space aestheically through grid planing. In this paper Wright's uniqe interior space pattern will be examined through the selection of some of his works specifically the Prairies and Usonians whose transforming is noticable as Wright house and analysis about formation process of grid planning characteristics and spaces is continued. With all this analysis I'm, going to look over Wright's philosophy and pattern that is usually intended by his grid planning.

The purpose of this study was to examine the use and purchase patterns, design and satisfaction degree, and desired performance of boardsailing suits. The subjects were 266 boardsailing athletes and lovers. The results were as follows; (1) The demand of boardsailing suits for spring and autumn was larger than that for the other seasons. (2) The order of influencing power in purchasing boardsailing suits was fitness, textile material, design, color, cost, and brand. (3) Preference of design was one piece style and preference of pattern was character pattern. Additionally, the study on Korean patterns was demanded for international games like Olympics. (4) The order of satisfaction degree of currently used boardsailing suits was activity, size, design, material, sewing, color, pattern, and ease of wearing and taking off. (5) For the performance of boardsailing suits materials, the estimated values of absorbency, water repellency, dye fastness, biological resistance, weight, handle, air permeability, durability, and elasticity were much lower than the importance values.

In this paper, we propose a new scalable and reliable combat system software in battleship which was developed procedurally in the past. Recently, combat system software is required to change frequently due to addition of new equipment and change of function. To solve those problems, this paper propose how to change combat system software into scalable software using class structure change and design pattern. Simulation results show that our scheme provides better performances and reliability than conventional scheme. Therefore proposed scheme can be efficiently used in Naval combat system.

This study investigated the preference of sensibility expression factors regarding fashion materials, such as the color, pattern and texture of fabric. Moreover, this study analyzed the relationship between the preference of sensibility expression factors and the preference of fashion images by identifying the preference of fashion images. The survey subjects were 312 women ranging in age from 20 to 40 years old. This study utilized a questionnaire as a measurement tool. First, this study performed a factorial analysis on the preference of sensibility expression factors of fashion materials. In regards to color preference, this study considered color depth such as light tone color, moderate tone color, dark tone color and vivid tone color. In regards to pattern preference, this study examined: geometric pattern, floral pattern, animal skins pattern, check pattern and symbolical pattern. In regard to preference of the texture, this study assessed: roughness, luster, flatness and lightness. Second, this study performed a factorial analysis on the preference of fashion images. This study examined five factors: dignity, uniqueness, femininity, activity and simplicity. Third, this study analyzed the effects of the preference of sensibility expression factors of fashion materials on the preference of fashion images. As a result, the color preference was related to the image preference associated with dignity, femininity and simplicity, whereas the pattern preference was related to the images of uniqueness, femininity, activity and simplicity. Moreover, the preference of texture image was related to the images of dignity, uniqueness, femininity and activity.

In order to preserve the Korean traditional gold foil, to develop as Korean traditional textile art by utilizing in modem fashion for textile industry, and to examine utility of the material which can be used in the modem wearing, interior goods and fashion terms, Textiles Applied Korean Traditional Gold Foil were developed. The results are as follows: First, important factors of the gold foil image should be extracted as materials quality, color and pattern, and modem and practical qualities should be proceeded when developing the image of the gold foil into modem quality material. Second, since gloss of fabric developed by a traditional method is somewhat strong, uniformity being a little bit low for hand-made manufacturing, and practical quality is low for high cost, deletion of the gold foil, etc. So it hasn't been appropriate for studying modem fashion material. Third, Jacquard weave has been examined as the most appropriate method in order to present the gold foil image among a number of textile manufacturing techniques Fourth, considering factors deciding the image of the gold foil and a sense of beauty of modem society, gloss of the foil has been lessened by expressing pattern to lower traditional quality and primary color. Fifth, pattern motives of developed materials have been extracted tram traditional gold foil patterns, and materials have been chosen considering of concepts and motives, and dragon pattern, crane pattern and bat pattern, Sixth, wearing, pin-up works, bed linen, fabrics for chairs, ties, bags, shoes, umbrellas, etc. are produced with the developed materials, and practical use and modern quality have been examined. The result is very satisfactory.
