The purpose of this study is to observe the symbolic meaning and the values of the costume which express bisexuality through the definition from a culture point of view. The research method is to contemplate the documentary records such as world history, art history and clothing history, and to recognize the symbolic meaning of a bisexuality in modern fashion design. A definition the word´man and woman´restricted the human being for a long time. This restrict is enforced by the costume, but this traditional fixed idea is retarded by the liberal sense of the human being and the design expresses a sex ambiguity This study inspects the sex ambiguity and the meaning of that through a cultural background and a historical costume. The results are as follows: The first, the cultural background about bisexuality is classified into the etymological point, the mythologic point. the art and philosophical point, the political and economic background, the mass media, and the custome and the regulation. A bisexuality is a concept in existence from ancient times. we have an open-minded attitude about bisexuality in the present than the past. The second, the function of costume is sex classification before 20th century, but since 20th century the costume expresses sex ambiguity. The third, the symbols of the bisexuality are the interminacy, the unity and the dismantling. The costume which expresses bisexuality means coexistence of male sex and female sex. this is a kind of motion to embody a ideal body of the human being. This study makes a contribution to recognize the dignity of human body and to understand the phenomenon of modern society.

VE is one of the most effective and systematic tool available to achieve the required function at minimum cost and manage in many industrial fields. The purpose of the preparation phase VE job plan is to establish a cooperation system referring to groups for the successful implementation of VE, and to achieve a common objective to collect sufficient materials required in the analysis phase. The Quality Model is used to measure the requirement of shareholders(users and owners)in the project. It also offers a guideline on decision making when executing the function definition, function arrangement, function evaluation, and the idea evaluation of VE. However, the current the preparation phase business confirms that the required items of owners and users has not suggested definite goals and directions. This study analyzes the problems of current work in the preparation phase from case study, survey and interviews of experts. It then proposes a new process after understanding the required items of owners, users and experts.

The artistic idiom of expression in modern poster art make great use of visual illusion. These visual illusions serve carne in sharp relief the idea or concept the artist wishes set forth to the viewer. However we must look at area beyond the psychological impact of visual illusion to the evolutionary history of past and present poster art. The yes of such investigation reveals that the interest in the sub psychological impact of visual illusion is especially deep and reaches for back into the past in the West. The purpose of this study is to analyze characteristics of residential architecture designed by Gwathmey Siegel in terms of their way of composing spaces and forms. Charles Gwathmey, one of the founders of Gwathmey Siegel, is a worldly famous architect who actively developed Neo-Modernistic architecture in his career. For this study, 15 major houses designed by Gwathmey Siegel were selected and analyzed in terms of their approaches on how to compose various spaces and forms, and how these approaches evolved as time passed. The analysis was mainly based on the drawings and photos of the houses published. The main characteristics found in this study can be summarized as follows: elevated LDK level, split-level composition, use of framing structure, layered space, and linear galleries as a spine of circulation with collaged volumes attached. It turned out these characteristics appeared, faded away, or evolved affecting each other. In early days, Gwathmey often elevated LDK level from ground level for providing privacy, views, and also for separating private rooms. Soon they composed spaces by splitting levels. It not only helped provide privacy where needed effectively, but made space composition more interesting. As sizes of the houses they designed grew, Gwathmey came up with the framing idea for expressing his original architectural language in larger scale. With the split-level composition, the framing method represented Gwathmey's in 70's. This framing introduced layers of interior spaces, and the layers started to break down the monumental framing into individual volumes by bringing in linear spine of circulation. These characteristics helped Gwathmey Siegel develop their own architectural language.

The evaluation of art has been historically based on the thorough reliance on the subjectivity of beholders due to the fact that the production and appreciation of works of art is founded on the similar(subjective) value. There had been little attempt to reverse such tendency by creating an objective and quantitative checklist for evaluating a work of art. Centering on the evaluation of the Media Art, which increased dramatically in numbers since the late 1960s, this is an attempt in systematizing the quantitative evaluation of Media Art by reflecting the idea of subjective criticism as well as its medium specificity. As such, the criteria for the evaluation consist of media evaluation, work evaluation, appreciation evaluation, product evaluation and exhibition evaluation. The evaluators can be divided into the general public, the Media Art specialist and the curatorial staff, according to their experiences in dealing with the Media Art. Based on the result of the FGD, the weight has been added to the evaluation system according to each evaluation criteria to ensure the balance between the objective and subjective criticism.

Study of new materials, which has been going on in many fields of modem art since the beginning of this century, has cintributed much to the development of modem art. In this regard, it is noteworthy that many in the field of fiber art have experimented with non-traditional, indusrial materials with some notable success. Industrial materials represent the world of thechnology we live in and help us form the kind of view on art that is reflective of the present age and its social milieu. Industrial materials, when used as media for art, also present us with new concepts and possibilities for artistic expression. In fiber art, the use of industrial materials has greatly expanded the very idea of 'fiber', effectively ferring the imagination of fiber aetists to experiment with diverse materials and new mathodology. Overcoming the traditional constraints of technique-orienthd their discipline, fiber artists began to pay more attention to matiere or the material jtself and the infinite variety of surface, color and texture that it promises. And informed by this newly discovered aesthetice of the material. fiber artists began in eamest to expand the area of their artistic expression, producing multi-dimensional works, conquering space and experimentiong with hugc environmantal works.

Pictorial typography is a fusion of image and type, which makes it possible to easily and quickly recognize information by complementing the boredom of characters and ambiguity of images. In this study, 6 classes were assigned to the 30 students in A specialization design class and applied artistic propel method to the pictorial typography design class, followed by the process of perception, reflection and creation, We analyze the two evaluation factors, functional and aesthetic changes, and verify the validity of the artpropel course. In the pre-post survey conducted in this study, the self - evaluation and the peer evaluation were improved. Functionality increased by 5.34 points in self evaluation, 5.4 points in peer evaluation, and 2.1 points in self evaluation and 1.8 points in peer evaluation. As a result, it can be seen that the pictorial typography class through the artpropel process helped to improve the functionality and aesthetic, and the effect of functionality was more significant than the aesthetic.

This study investigates Active Learning and Facilitation Convergence Education Program which can improve core competency to cope with vocational education in the fourth industrial revolution era. I applied the integrated advantages of Active Learning which enhances 'problem solving skill' and those of Facilitation for creative thinking idea to application design process coursework and verified the effectiveness of such education method through student satisfaction survey. I also designed application contents for the students who are familiar with the mobile environments and UI contents for data visualization which can help those students to improve their skills in software. Every coursework was conducted as a team project. As a result, Active Learning and Facilitation Convergence Education Program is found to be helpful in improving the basic skills and competencies required in college education. I hope this work helps to reduce the educational gap between industry and professional colleges.
