Design and implementation of protection and management system of digital contents based on MPEG-21 IPMP (MPEG-21 IPMP 기반의 디지털 콘텐츠 보호 관리 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • The usage increase of digital contents required solution for protection technology and interoperability of system. MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group) proposed MPEG-21 Multimedia Frameworks. MPEG-21 IPMP is standard that provides the means to enable digital item and rights information to be persistently managed and protected across networks and devices. In this paper, MPEG-21 IPMP based system to protect digital contents designed by four structures of license server, production server, consumption server, tool server. License server create rights information document using the XML-based REL about multimedia contents of users. Production server makes a digital item by packaging multimedia resource and metadata, which is combined by REL information and IPMP information of multimedia resource. Consumption server takes care of the functions of players that use digital item, and tool server was implement to transmit for missing tool that might occur in all procedures.

  • SIGINT(SIGnal INTelligence) includes several parameters intercepted by measurement and analysis of the RF(Radio frequency) signal from free space. One of the important parameters is frequency information. Expecially, in order to perform instantaneous frequency measurement of Radar and Missile seeker's RF signals, we use dedicated RF modules as a DFD(Digital Frequency Discriminator) to provide frequency information by measurement of the relative phase difference between signals via intended RF delay lines. It must measure and provide realtime based frequency information on short pulsed RF signal up to 100 nSec or less. This document proposes Ultra wideband DFD consisted of a RF input section of Wideband 4 channel RF delay line and correlator, a digital processing section to measure and provide frequency information from I/Q signal, and a frequency calibration section. Also, it will show design suitability based on test results measured under test condition of very short input pulse signals.

  • Since the existed Korean Web IR systems generally use boolean system, it is difficult to retrieve the information to be wanted at one time. Also, because of the feature that web documents have the frequent abbreviation and many links, the keyword extraction using the inverted document frequency extracts the improper keywords for adding ambiguous meaning problem. Therefore, users must repeat the modification of the queries until they get the proper information. In this paper, we design and implement the relevance feedback agent system for resolving the above problems. The relevance feedback agent system extracts the proper information in response to user's preferred keywords and stores these keywords in preference DB table. When users retrieve this information later, the relevance feedback agent system will search it adding relevant keywords to user's queries. As a result of this method, the system can reduce the number of modification of user's queries and improve the efficiency of the IR system.

Identifying Predictors of Compulsive Hoarding Tendencies in Young Adult Consumers

  • Compulsive hoarding becomes a problem when the spaces hoarded items are stored in become unusable due to clutter, health, or safety issues. Our research purpose was to document relationships between two non-normative consumer behaviors (compulsive hoarding, compulsive buying tendency) and two shopping-related variables: hedonic shopping motives and emotional attachment to possessions with everyday consumers. As hedonic shopping motives have been related to compulsive buying, we predicted these motives (e.g., adventure, gratification, role, value, social, and idea) are related to compulsive buying. We also examined the relationship between compulsive buying and compulsive hoarding tendency and whether emotional attachment to possessions moderated this relationship. Participants were 280 undergraduate and graduate students attending a Midwestern university in the U.S. Regression analysis revealed the enhancing emotion motive (a combined motive of adventure and gratification) positively influenced compulsive buying whereas the value motive negatively influenced compulsive buying. All other hedonic shopping motives were non-significant. Participants who tended to buy compulsively were likely to hoard compulsively. This relationship, however, was moderated by participants' emotional attachment to possessions. Participants with high emotional attachment to possessions showed a higher level of hoarding behavior than those with low emotional attachment to possessions. However, the increase in hoarding tendency among participants with low emotional attachment to possessions was larger between those who were low in compulsive buying and those who were high in compulsive buying than the increase between these two groups among participants with high emotional attachment to possessions.

  • It is possible to indicate the complex design and execution of object-oriented program with dynamic UML diagram. This paper shows the way how to make several test cases from sequence, state, and activity diagram among dynamic UML diagram. Three dynamic UML diagrams about withdrawal work of ATM simulation program are drawn. Then different test cases are created from these diagrams using previously described ways. To evaluate effectiveness of test cases, mutation testing is executed. Mutants are made from MuClipse plug-in tool based on Eclipse which supports many traditional and class mutation operators. Finally we've got the result of mutation testing and compare effectiveness of test cases, etc. Through this document, we've known some hints that how to choose the way of making test cases.

  • IStorage is a technology, which can use resources of server PC by using Android Phone supporting wireless internet access. IStorage utilizes resources of server PC through WebDAV protocol. And with GUI interface, Users upload their resources to the server PC and They can perform various kinds of works like Opening, Searching, Deleting and Downloading files. Since it is possible for them to use resources of server PC as if they are originally stored in their mobile devices, there is no limit on using the functions such as watching movies, listening musics and opening document files in real time. We expect this study can to overcome the limitation of storage space and also be a useful technology in the smart phone market.

  • Recently, XML has been widely used as a standard for a data exchange, and there has emerged the tendency that the size of XML document becomes larger. The data transfer can cause problems due to the increase in traffic, especially when a massive data such as Data Warehouse is being collected and analyzed. Therefore, an XMDR wrapper can solve this problem since it analyzes the tree structures of XML Schema, regenerates XML Schema using the analyzed tree structures, and sends it to each station with an XMDR Query. XML documents which are returned as an outcome encode XML tags according to XML Schema, and send standardized messages. As the formalized XML documents decrease network traffic and comprise XML class information, they are efficient for extraction, conversion, and alignment of data. In addition, they are efficient for the conversion process through XSLT, too, as they have standardized forms. In this paper we profuse a method in which XML Schema and XMDR_Query sent to each station are generated through XMDR(extended Meta-Data Registry) and the generation of products and XML conversion occur in each station wrapper.

  • Owing to rapid advancements of the mobile computing technologies and the performance of mobile device recently, the data synchronization techniques between severs and mobile clients are getting more and more important. OMA also proposes and recommends standard synchronization methods to use SyncML. However, the feasible data in the method are limited to normal document data, scheduler data, etc. This paper a standard framework based on SyncML. We call it SCGFG. The SCGFG is able to synchronize not only the above data but also GIS data which is very useful in mobile applications. It applies GML, international GIS standard, to the synchronization. By means of using XML, it is also able to resolve the serious problem that is the increase of data volume occurred by SyncML and GML. efficiently. It is highly expected to be useful in the smart synchronization of GIS data among several servers and mobile clients.

Safeguarding Korean Export Trade through Social Media-Driven Risk Identification and Characterization

  • Purpose - Korean exports account for a vast proportion of Korean GDP, and large volumes of Korean products are sold in the United States. Identifying and characterizing actual and potential product hazards related to Korean products is critical to safeguard Korean export trade, as severe quality issues can impair Korea's reputation and reduce global consumer confidence in Korean products. In this study, we develop country-of-origin-based product risk analysis methods for social media with a specific focus on Korean-labeled products, for the purpose of safeguarding Korean export trade. Design/methodology - We employed two social media datasets containing consumer-generated product reviews. Sentiment analysis is a popular text mining technique used to quantify the type and amount of emotion that is expressed in the text. It is a useful tool for gathering customer opinions regarding products. Findings - We document and discuss the specific potential risks found in Korean-labeled products and explain their implications for safeguarding Korean export trade. Finally, we analyze the false positive matches that arise from the established dictionaries that were used for risk discovery and utilize these classification errors to suggest opportunities for the future refinement of the associated automated text analytic methods. Originality/value - Various studies have used online feedback from social media to analyze product defects. However, none of them links their findings to trade promotion and the protection of a specific country's exports. Therefore, it is important to fill this research gap, which could help to safeguard export trade in Korea.

  • The existing computer equipment management system is designed to computerize and manage equipment information that was managed only by documents in the computer room. However, the existing system focuses on computerizing the equipment arranged in the document, so there is a limit to the equipment that can be registered and it is difficult to find the necessary equipment. In addition, it caused inconvenience to confirm whether the registered equipment is currently used. In this paper, we redesign and implement the computer equipment management system to solve the problem. For this purpose, the existing computer equipment management system was thoroughly analyzed throughout, and the system is designed and implemented to improve the system by reflecting the opinions of public officials and management companies using the system. In the performance evaluation, the efficiency of the improved system is proved by comparing the number of equipment registrations and equipment search accuracy of the existing system.
