Development of high efficiency and eco-friendly LED source has been progressed continuously. Also, by nation's regulations, public institutions have changed existing luminaires to LED luminaires. However, there are several differences between existing luminaires and the intensity distribution of general planar LED luminaires. In case of changing existing luminaires to LED luminaires, by such differences, there are inefficiencies both quality aspect and energy aspect in luminous environment. Therefore, this study aims to conduct a study on the changes of intensity distribution and luminous environment by reflector shapes in indirect reflected LED luminaires with software for optical design of a luminaire (Photopia 2.0) and lighting design of a space (ReluxPro). This study shows the changes of intensity distribution and luminous environment of indirect reflected LED luminaires and indirect fluorescent lamp luminaires by reflector shapes.

As lifestyle changes, consumer behavior becomes emotional. And fashion brands are responding the behavior. The brands reflect changes of the needs and the values of consumers. This study analyzed the renovation strategies of the British traditional fashion brands through a literature survey. The common renovation strategies of the British traditional fashion brands were the renovations in the design which harmonized traditional elements with modem elements which is the key, and the renovations in the promotion and the distribution of commodities. The most effective renovation strategy is to combine the three renovations.

In the present study, we studied the method of predicting the on-design and on-design point performance of axial flow fan with adjustable pitch blades. With the change of stagger angle of axial flow fan with adjustable pitch blade, flow rate and pressure can be changed. Because of this merit adjustable pitch fans are used in many industrial facility. When changing stagger angle or estimating the performance at a wide range of off-design condition, incidence angle changes greatly as the flow rate changes. Therefore, the deviation angle at the blade exit is estimated by the correlation considering the effects of blade design, incidence angle variation. In the loss model, we used known pressure loss model for blade boundary layer and wake, secondary flow, endwall boundary layer and tip leakage flow. The results of modified deviation angle model and experiment were compared for the usefulness of the modified model.

This paper focused on problems of design, construction, and maintenance caused by construction implementation processes. They were analyzed through case study of structure safety diagnosis projects. From the case study, it is expected that the introduction of Construction Management from the first stage of procurement will improve construction cost increase or burden on small design company. It strengthens coherent management from design and source contractor selection to build review of responsibility. The coherency will prevent changes in designing or infirm unreliable construction. It is desirable that expert opinions are considered when structure changes and establishment occur and that, if necessary, actions such as source selection, periodic audits, and diagnosis arc checked and fed back to maintenance.

This paper was applied space harmonic method as a characteristic analysis technique for slotless PMLSM. There is advantages of active response to the change of design parameters as well as reduction of the calculation time. The method can be overcome disadvantages of finite element analysis that needs long times calculation, repetitions of pre and post-process. In this paper, 3D-space harmonic method was applied to consider the precise description of end turn coil shape and the changes of characteristic according to changes of length of z-axis direction. The thrust of optimal design was performed using genetic algorithm to enhance the thrust which is the disadvantage of slotless type PMLSM. For design parameters, width of permanent magnet, width of coil, width of coil inner and lengths of z-axis direction were selected. For objective functions. thrust per weight. thrust per volume. multi-objective function was selected.

This paper explores the impact of gate shape changes on the size and density of foamed cells in microcellular foam injection molding. Five different gate shapes were examined while varying the amount of nitrogen gas(N2) injected for foaming. Analysis of the results showed that while average values did not change significantly, deviation values decreased by approximately 65% for cell size and 56% for density when 3.5wt% of nitrogen gas was injected in the film gate. Further analysis was conducted to verify this phenomenon, revealing that the contact area between the gate and product had the greatest impact. Our findings indicate that to ensure uniform generation of foamed cells in microcellular foaming product design, a gate with a wide contact area should be secured.

The authors used association rules and patterns in sequential of data mining in order to raise the efficiency of engineering changes. The association rule can reduce the number of engineering changes since it can estimate the parts to be changed. The patterns in sequential can perform engineering changes effectively by estimating the parts to be changed from sequence estimation. According to this result, unnecessary engineering changes are eliminated and the number of engineering changes decrease. This method can be used for improving design quality and productivity in company managing engineering changes and related information.

The negative memories which come from tragic events such as war, terror or various conflicts in modern cities have been threatening the mental health of city-dwellers. This thesis focuses on 'healing public space' that will help recover the life of city-dwellers who sustain various trauma. For this, the author investigated the significant memorial space through 1980-2010 from site visits, interviews, and related theses and books and then extracted necessary information from each period. This thesis aims to find the changes of the memorial concepts and visitor's reaction for last 30years. 1)1980-: Healing concept and visitor's positive response 2)1990-: Healing by emotional experience approaches to the memorial museum such as narrative approach, exhibition media using 5senses, interactive display and preserving trace, 3)early 2000-: Healing by architectural experience 4)2002-: present: Healing projects by various programs. Steady advances in memorial design for healing trauma are due to the efforts for emotional design approach to eeply move the visitors and the efforts have to be continued. The study emphasize the importance of attracting eople by experimental, emotional design contents not just by aesthetic and functional public design ideas.

After the first-ever international espresso coffee shop Starbucks Korea opened its first branch near Ewha University in Korea, positioning of divers foreign cultures among us and changes of life style due to the gross income growth have leaded to the growth of the number of needs for espresso coffee shops and, therefore, international espresso shops have been launching their shops in Korea. While the foreign shops have been holding most of the domestic market share, domestic espresso coffee shops like Hollys and Angel-In-Us have been penetrating the market with differentiated marketing strategies that a espresso coffee shop is no longer considered as just a shop, but a cultural product to Korean. Along with the recent changes, customers have started to laying emphasis on interior and each of the domestic coffee shops has been changing its interior designs by establishing own brand identification. Base on the Starbucks' success case, the domestic coffee shops have been adopting emotional marketing which would stimulate and arouse customers' emotions. The purpose of this study is to present systematic data which would be applied in an espresso coffee shop planning by researching applied emotional design elements of the domestic coffee shops interior designs in depth and finding their characteristics.
