성토지반에 타입된 H형강 말뚝의 지지거동 (Bearing Capacity of Driven H-Piles in Embankment)

  • To find axial and lateral responses of impact-driven H piles in embankment(SM), the H piles are instrumented with electric strain gages, dynamic load test is performed during driving, and then the damage of strain gages is checked simultaneously. Axially and laterally static load tests are performed on the same piles after one to nine days as well. Then load-settlement behavior is measured. Furthermore, to find the set-up effect in H pile, No. 4, 16, 26, and R6 piles are restriked about 1, 2, and 14 days after driving. As results, ram height and pile capacity obtained from impact driving control method become 80cm and 210.3∼242.3ton, respectively. At 15 days after driving, allowable bearing capacity by CAPWAP analysis, which 2.5 of the factor of safety is applied for ultimate bearing capacity, increases 10.8%. Ultimate bearing capacity obtained from axially static load test is 306∼338ton. This capacity is 68.5∼75.7% at yield force of pile material and is 4∼4.5 times of design load. Allowable bearing capacity using 2 of the factor of safety is 153∼169ton. Initial stiffness response of the pile is 27.5ton/mm. As the lateral load increases, the horizontal load-settlement behaves linearly to which the lateral load reaches up to 17ton. This reason is filled with sand in the cavity formed between flange and web during pile driving. As the result of reading with electric strain gages, flange material of pile is yielded at 19ton in horizontal load. Thus allowable load of this pile material is 9.5ton when the factor of safety is 2.0. Allowable lateral displacement of this pile corresponding to this load is 23∼36mm in embankment.

음향방출법을 응용한 복합재 날개 구조물의 정적구조 건전성 평가 (Evaluation of Static Structural Integrity for Composites Wing Structure by Acoustic Emission Technique)

  • 복합재 날개 구조물에 대한 구조 건전성 및 손상을 평가하기 위하여 정적 구조강도시험에 음향방출(AE)법이 응용되었다. 시험중 스트레인과 변위측정기법을 통하여 정적구조강도를 확인하였고, 음향방출요소 분석과 위치표정기법을 통하여 구조물의 내부 손상을 평가하고 손상위치를 찾을 수 있었다. 시험은 설계제한하중시험, 2차에 걸친 설계극한 하중시험, 파단시험이 수행되었다. 주요한 AE신호는 front lug근처의 표면에 부착된 센서에 의하여 감지되었다. 특히 1차 설계극한하중시험에서 스트레인 및 변위결과는 내부 손상을 보이지 않았으나 AE신호는 내부 손상이 이미 형성된 현상을 나타내었다. 파단시험에서는 AE활성도가 매우 활발하였고, 스트레인 및 변위의 결과는 심한 손상에 의하여 하중경로가 바뀌는 경향을 나타내었다. 음향방출법을 적용하여 정적 구조시험이 진행되는 동안 내부손상이 발생되는 하중과 위치를 정확하게 평가할 수 있었다. 본 연구로부터 음향방출법은 정적 구조강도시험에 있어 내부 손상을 평가하는데 유용한 기법임이 확인되었다.

  • The objective of this study is to develop the CAD system for 2 cell box culvert by ultimate strength design method. C-language & AutoCAD Rl2 were used to create user-friendly computing environment. Consequently, users can easily design 2 cell box culvert under the various conditions, such as design load, total fill depth, underground water level, strength of concrete, and so forth. This system is believed to improve the efficiency and economy by the batch processing of structural analysis, quick drafting and computation of material quantity in the 2 cell box culvert design.

대직경 스터드 전단연결재의 정적거동 (Static Behavior of Large Stud Shear Connectors)

  • 강합성교량에서 19mm 또는 22mm 직경을 갖는 전단연결재가 일반적으로 사용되고 있다. 강교 상세의 단순화와 향후 바닥판 제거의 용이성 및 프리캐스트 바닥판 전단포켓의 효율적인 배치를 위해서는 대직경 스터드 전단연결재가 필요하다. 현재의 전단연결재 설계범위를 넘어서는 대직경 스터드 전단연결재에 대한 push-out 실험을 통해서 정적거동에 관한 항목들을 검토하고 기존 설계식과의 비교를 수행하였다. 25, 27, 30mm 직경의 스터드에 대한 전단실험을 통해서 탄성영역에서의 전단강성을 평가하고 세 개의 직선으로 구성된 하중-상대변위 곡선을 제안하였다. 파괴시의 극한상대변위를 평가하고 극한강도를 유로코드-4의 설계식과 비교하여 설계의 안전율을 평가하였다. 또한 30mm 스터드의 경우는 용접과 콘크리트 지압능력의 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 연구에서는, 강관스커트 보강 조립토 군말뚝에 초점을 두고, 상부 매트기초와 하부기초지반 사이의 접촉면 각 지점별 불균등 침하량 예측을 위한 간편 유한요소해석기법과 이에 근거한 각 말뚝 인접지반의 하중분담비 평가방법 및 극한지지력 평가절차 등을 제시하였다. 또한 제시하고자 하는 기법의 적합성과, 이를 토대로 한 극한지지력 예측결과의 타당성을 확인하기 위해, $PENTAGON_{3D$ 유한요소 프로그램을 이용한 해석결과와의 비교.분석이 수행되었다. 이외에도, 강관스커트 보강유형에 따른 거동특성 분석과 스커트 보강에 의한 극한지지력 증대효과를 관련 설계변수와 연계한 분석 등을 수행하였다.

The behavior of concrete filled steel tubular columns infilled with high-strength geopolymer recycled aggregate concrete

  • The utilization of geopolymer recycled aggregate concrete (GRAC) as the infilled core of the concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) columns provides superior economic and environmental benefits. However, limited research exists within the field of geopolymer recycled aggregate concrete considered a green and sustainable material, in addition to the limitation of the design guidelines to predict the behavior of such an innovative new material combination. Moreover, the behavior of high-strength concrete is different from the normal-strength one, especially when there is another material of high-strength properties, such as the steel tube. This paper aims to investigate the behavior of the axially loaded square high-strength GRACFST columns through the nonlinear finite element analysis (NLFEA). A total of thirty-two specimens were simulated using ABAQUS/Standard software with three main variables: recycled aggregate replacement ratio (0, 30, and 50) %, width-to-thickness ratios (52.0, 32.0, 23.4, and 18.7), and length-to-width ratio (3, 5, 9, and 12). During the analysis, the response in terms of the axial load versus the longitudinal strain was recorded and plotted. In addition, various mechanical properties were calculated and analyzed. In view of the results, it has been demonstrated that the mechanical properties of high-strength GRACFST columns such as ultimate load-bearing capacity, compressive stiffness, energy absorption capacity, and ductility increase with the increase of the steel tube thickness owing to the improvement of the confinement effect of the steel tube. In contrast, the incorporation of the recycled aggregate adversely affected the mentioned properties except the ductility, while the increase of the recycled aggregate replacement ratio improved the column's ductility. Moreover, it has been found that the increase in the length-to-width ratio significantly reduced both the failure strain and the energy absorption capacity. Finally, the obtained NLFEA results of the ultimate load-bearing capacity were compared with the corresponding predicted capacities by numerous codes. It has been concluded that AISC, ACI, and EC give conservative predictions for the ultimate load-bearing capacity since the confinement effect was not considered by these codes.

  • 선체구조 부재에는 이중저의 거더 및 늑판등에서 유공을 가진 판이 많이 사용되고 있는데, 이는 중량 경감, 사람 및 화물의 이동, 배관 등의 목적이다. 보통은 강도상 큰 문제가 없는 부위에 위치하지만, 매로는 불가피하게 높은 응력이 작용하는 부위에 설치해야 할 경우가 있다. 이러한 판에 유공의 존재는 면내 하중에 의한 탄성좌굴강도 및 최종강도에 큰 영향을 주게 된다. 따라서, 유공판의 탄성좌굴강도 및 최종강도 평가는 선박의 초기 구조설계단계에서 구조부재 치수를 결정할 매, 검토해야 할 중요한 설계기준 중의 한가지가 된다. 그러므로, 유공판에 대한 합리적이고 신뢰적인 탄성좌굴강도 및 최종강도 설계식이 필요하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 종횡비와 유공의 치수비 그리고 세장비의 영향을 고려하여 탄소성대변형 유한요소법을 근간으로 한 해석코드인 ANSYS(7.1)를 사용하여 시리즈해석을 수행하였다.

외부 프리스트레스트 콘크리트 부재의 극한상태에서의 강선응력예측식 제안 (Prediction of Prestressing Steel Stress at Ultimate State of Prestressed Concrete Members with External Unbonded Tendons)

  • The external, unbonded prestressed concrete(PSC) members exhibit very different structural behavior from that of internal bonded PSC members because of eccentricity change and slip occurrence during loading process. The purpose of the present study is to propose the ultimate failure stresses of prestressing (PS) steels for those external unbonded PSC members. To this end, a comprehensive analysis has been made using the nonlinear finite element analysis program developed recently for external unbonded PSC members by authors. A series of major influencing variables have been included in the analysis. It was found that the span-depth ratio, neutral axis depth-effective depth ratio, load geometry, amount of ordinary steel, and prestressing steel ration have great influence for the ultimate failue stress of PS steel is preposed and is compared with experimental dat as well as existing formulas for internal unbonded members. The Comparison indicates that the proposed equation agrees relatively well with experimental data and that existing formulas including ACI and AASHTO equations show some discrepancies from experimental ones. The present study allows more realistic analysis and design of prestressed concrete structures with external unbonded tendons.

Research on axial bearing capacity of cold-formed thin-walled steel built-up column with 12-limb-section

  • A half open cross section built-up column, namely cold-formed thin-walled steel built-up column with 12-limbsection (CTSBC-12) is put forward. To deeply reveal the mechanical behaviors of CTSBC-12 under axial compression and put forward its calculation formula of axial bearing capacity, based on the previous axial compression experimental research, the finite element analysis (FEA) is conducted on 9 CTSBC-12 specimens, and then the variable parameter analysis is carried out. The results show the FEA is in good agreement with the experimental research, the ultimate bearing capacity error is within 10%. When the slenderness ratio is more than 96.54, the ultimate bearing capacity of CTSBC-12 decreases rapidly, and the failure mode changes from local buckling to global buckling. With the local buckling failure mode unchanged, the ultimate bearing capacity decreases gradually as the ratio of web height to thickness increases. Three methods are used for calculating the ultimate bearing capacity, the direct strength method of AISI S100-2007 gives result of ultimate axial load which is closest to the test and FEA results. But for simplicity and practicality, a simplified axial bearing capacity formula is proposed, which has better calculation accuracy with the slenderness ratio changing from 30 to 100.

KL-510 하중모형을 적용한 강합성 2거더교 RC 장지간 바닥판의 최소두께 (Minimum Thickness of Long Span RC Deck Slabs for Composite 2-girder Bridges Designed by KL-510 Load Model)

  • The minimum thickness of long-span deck slab is proposed by checking the limit state according to the Korean highway bridge design code(limit state design). Both minimizing thickness and ensuring safety of deck slab are important design factors to increase a competitive price of the long span deck slabs. The required thicknesses for satisfying flexural capacity, preventing punching shear failure and limiting deflection were calculated by considering KL-510 load model which has increased total load compared to DB 24 from 432 kN to 510 kN. The results of the required thickness for various limit states were compared to propose the minimum thickness as a function of span length of deck slabs. The proposed minimum thickness is influenced by satisfying flexural capacity and limiting deflection. It turns out to be similar compared to the results of the previous study by ultimate strength design method even if the live load model was increased in total weights.
