This study aims to show the possibility of approaching artistic design through the Bergsonian concept of musical vitality by grasping the expression of his musical vitality at the Chapel at Ronchamp. For the purpose of this study, the aesthetic significance of Bergson's philosophy of life was first contemplated, and a case study analysis was conducted on the vitality of music as temporality at the Chapel at Ronchamp. On this basis, the examples of his musical vitality as metaphysical reality at the Chapel were analyzed. The results of analysis are as follows: First, the Bergsonian vitality of music as temporality at the Chapel is expressed as a sense of movement-through the acoustic form, the modulor corresponding to the scale of the music, the opposite composition of musical changes, the fluid space of the music, and the light and shadow of counterpoint-as having been intended by Le Corbusier in the very process of design. Second, the vitality of music as Bergson's metaphysical reality at the Chapel at Ronchamp is expressed in the image and rhythm of music created by intuitive reminiscences. The acoustic form, the form created by the modulor, the opposite form of composition, the fluid space and the light and shadow as the melody and image of music present continuous diversity as vital flow in a uniform direction. The vitality of music as aesthetical reality is imitated by the rhythm of the music deriving from repetitive movements sensed here. Consequentry, the Chapel at Ronchamp can be seen as a vital design that expresses Bergson's notion of musical vitality, indicating that an approach toward artistic design can be realized through his musical vitality. This study holds significance as basic research on artistic design with philosophy and music as its origin.

Today, the art and the architecture face up to the problem of loss of direction. So, the derection of post have been lost. This phenomina cause the second loss of direction, because the mode of pre-modernism is underestimated. After all, the mode and philosophy of after-modernism face up to the new crisis of derection. Present artists, archtectures and designers have to acnieve new trial and study for estimation of aestetics and directions. Ultimately, constant exercise and study of philosophy, morpholophy, morphology, current mode and new materials is necessary to search a methodology. This all have to be accomplished by the clear philosophy. The original identity is formed in environmental basis. So, first, architectures, designers, and artist understand native identity, second, we sho have acadenical and practical faculties impose significance. In case of Europe, the change of mode have led paradigm of culture. The great change of social culture have come out the wave of revolution that cross in design, architecture and art. 1920's of modernism evolve 1960's completion. In the change of life style, functionalism have evolved postmodernnism. But, in this change we do not suggest the new derection that form concrete idea and sympathy. This phenomina appear in the end of a centry, and nowaday is that day. This trends effect on artists, architectures, and designers, and design and will be changed. Finally, we need to study of concrete and new direction in this circumstance.

DNV-OS-F101 includes the concept development, design, construction, operation,and abandonment of offshore pipeline systems. The main objective of this offshore standard (OS) is to ensure that pipeline systems are safe during the installation and operational period. The pipeline design philosophy also includes public safety and environmental protection. The mechanical wall thickness design of a pipeline shall follow the design objectives and safety philosophy. This new design code includes a very sophisticated design procedure to ensure a safe pipeline, public safety, and environmental protection. This paper presents the results of a parametric study for the wall thickness design of offshore pipelines. A design matrix was developed to cover the many design factors of pipeline integrity, public safety, and environmental protection. Sensitivity analyses of the various parameters were carried out to identify the impacts on offshore pipeline design.

This study identifies how management theory and philosophy work in conjunction with and support one another as both are critical to understanding leadership concepts and viewing the design organization holistically in terms of organizational behavior and performance. This paper analyses data from an in-depth single-case study at management in interior design organization in Korea. Two new 'most efficient and effective way' to achieve the goals of the design organization has been launched. The first was organizational behavior and performance, and the second a needed new paradigm of management skills. Organizational culture affects organizational effectiveness in design because it can (a) provide an organization with a competitive advantage, (b) improve the way an organizational structure works, and (c) increase the motivation of designers to pursue organizational interests. Moreover, the result of research creates paradigm of thinking that how leaders in the design organization need to focus on innovative and strategic systems to gain competitive advantage and enter global markets; a key inter-organizational cooperation strategy to achieve a targeted goal.

A performance-based seismic design method for reinforced concrete building structures being developed in Japan is outlined. Technical and scientific background of the performance-based design philosophy as well as recently developed seismic design guidelines are is presented, in which maximum displacement response to design earthquake motion is used as the limit-state design criteria. A method of estimating dynamic response displacement of the structures based on static nonlinear analysis is described. A theoretical estimation of nonlinear dynamic response considering the characteristics of energy input to the system is described in detail, which may be used as the standard method in the new performance-based code. A desing philosophy not only satisfying the criteria but also evaluating seismic capacity of the structures is also introduced.

The word \"permaculture\" is a contraction of \"permanent agriculture\" or \"permanent culture\". Permaculture principles are designed to support (or ensure) the survival of humanity, the earth and all on it, and, to improve our standard of living, Permaculture can be defined as : a design system for creating sustainable human environments that can be (relatively) easily constructed and maintained. The principles of permaculture designs are relative location every element (such as house , rice paddy, road, esc) is placed in relation to each other such that each assists the other : each element performs multiple functions ; each function is supported by many elements : energy efficient planning ; using biological resources rather than fossil fuels : energy cycling on site (both fuel and human energy) : Using and accelerating natural plant succession to establish favourable sites and soils ; poly-culture and diversity of beneficial species for a productive, interactive system ; use of edge and natural patterns for best effect. These principles can be used for any permaculture design, in any climate, and at any scale. There has been very little scientific examination of Permaculture, and as such, it must be viewed as a design philosophy.viewed as a design philosophy.

Purpose - Investigating the connection between 'Oriental philosophy' and financial success is an adventure into the world of old knowledge and its applicability to the modern era. Thus, the current study aims to find ways to approach economic growth in a more inclusive, sustainable, and comprehensive way if we can sort out the complex webs that bind these two fields. Research design, data, and methodology - The main component of the current study is a thorough literature investigation in the current major database that gathers information from fifteen significant research articles. Numerous disciplines, including political science, economics, philosophy, and cultural studies, are represented among the selected papers. Result: The finding section provides a comprehensive knowledge of how concepts of oriental philosophy intersect with and have the capacity to revolutionize economic systems by delving into the subtle insights gleaned from the literature survey, case studies, and comparative analyses. Conclusion - The study concludes that oriental philosophies' emphasis on social harmony and community welfare points to the necessity of policies beyond only looking at financial data. Practitioners can use the study's conclusions to guide the creation of inclusive policies that put the welfare of all people first, deal with social injustices, and advance environmental sustainability.
