  • Higher level representation splay an important role in model management systems. The role is to make decision makers friendly represent their problem using the representations. In this research, we address higher level representations including five distinctivenesses: Objective, Node, Link, Topological Constraint including five components, and Decision, Therefore, it is developed a system called HLRNET that implements the building procedure of network models using structural knowledge and object data The paper particularly elaborates all components included in each of distinctiveness extracted from structural characteristics of a lot of telecommunication network models. Higher level representations represented with five destinctivenesses should be converted into base level representations which are employed for semantic representations of linear and integer programming problems in a knowledge-assisted optimization modeling system. The system is illustrated with an example of the local access network model.

  • Selection procedures of earth retention systems are increasingly complex and directly related to the serviceability of the retaining structure selection systems since significant changes in earth retention technology motivates the review of design, and selection processes of earth retaining structures. Collection and classification of retaining structure selection knowledge are key issues because two expert groups, geotechnical and structural engineers, are mainly involved in the retaining structure selection. The course of natural tendency of expert knowledge are investigated considering the decision factors. The decision factors for selecting retaining structures are divided into four categories: application of the structure, and spatial, behavior, and economic constraints.

  • Modular architecture is very important not only in the design phase but also in the construction planning phase because it affects construction methods and module sizes depending on transport equipment. There are economic risks as well as quality, as there may be defects such as internal interiors or elimination of deadlines during transportation, and structural torsion caused by rainfall and shock. However, there is a lack of objective criteria or data to refer to in determining transport equipment that has a material effect on transport. Accordingly, there is no decision model to determine the optimum transportation equipment for each construction site. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a decision support model that can be compared to the review of transport equipment selection factors. The purpose of this study is to propose the transport equipment impact factors and decision support models for systematic review and objective decision making of each construction plan in the construction of small and medium-sized modulators. The decision model proposed in this study can be used as basic data for transport studies, ensuring objectivity and transparency in the equipment selection process.

  • Purpose: This research delves into the topic by exploring the impacts of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) on the fourth industrial setting. As the study begins with a comprehensive review of the literature to find other scholars' contributions, the present authors try to synthesize and integrate scattered related topics in the literature dataset. Research design, data and methodology: We used a descriptive, causal, and explanatory research design hybrid. A causal research design is an approach used to investigate the interaction and relationship between given variables. The screening began with searching using keywords, filtering using the inclusion criteria, and arriving at the final set of sources. Results: There were four crucial findings: 1. The Performance Expectancy Construct Has Strongly Influenced and Influenced the Decision to Acquire and Use a Given Technology. 2. Effort Expectancy Construct Has Influenced the Trends of Adopting. 3. Social Influence and Impact on Choice and Use of Technologies. 4. Facilitating Conditions as A Factor in Modern Production and Consumption. Conclusions: All in all, UTAUT is used in a predictive manner and very instrumental for the producers and users of various technologies. Four primary constructs are critical in making the theory complete, essential, and reliable within the fourth industrial setting.

  • Purpose: Prior studies rarely investigated the effects of the Word of Mouse (WoM) information on consumers' motivation and willingness to purchase a product. Furthermore, few scholars have studied how word-of-mouth information works and they fail to find consistent results. Research design, data and methodology: This study uses a multivariate regression model to investigate the influence of WoM on consumer attitudes and consumer decision-making. It categorizes the quality of WoM into source level and acceptance level, to analyze its influence from a new perspective. A total of 400 surveys were completed, resulting in 336 usable questionnaires for analysis. It was collected in 14 cities from all regions in China. This study constructs a theoretical model of WoM influence on consumers' purchase willingness based on a systematic review of the related literature on WoM quality, perceived value, customer trust, and consumers' purchase willingness. Results: Empirical results reveal that the Internet WoM (consumer's source level and acceptance level) indirectly affects consumer behavior by influencing consumer attitudes. Conclusions: This study provides practical significance and value for merchants to develop better WoM marketing and to establish the reliability of WoM websites. Companies should consider online WoM from the perspective of consumers, thereby improving existing marketing strategies.

  • Tour products have been recognized as a perishable asset. For tour operation companies (TOCs), improving profitability is a core decision problem for their business. Since package tour products, typical products of TOCs, are perishable after the tour was departed, TOCs have been tried to increase their sales before the departure date with various marketing strategies including price discounts. The pricing problem for perishable assets have been studied in Revenue Management for a long time. However, it is hard to find a research on pricing decisions for tour products. In this paper, we focus on a pricing problem for tour products. In particular, we will consider the pricing scheme with customer preference values on purchasing conditions. With conjoint analysis, we can use the part-worth value as a preference value for each level of purchasing conditions. To construct various discount prices, we use an enumeration method and suggest a mathematical optimization model. With experimental analysis for a sample tour package, we will show that our pricing process is very helpful for designing customer-oriented pricing decision.

  • Purpose This study aims to develop classification models using a decision tree algorithm to identify core keywords and rules influencing online consumer review evaluations for the robot vacuum cleaner on Amazon.com. The difference from previous studies is that we analyze core keywords that affect the evaluation results by dividing the subjects that evaluate online consumer reviews into self-evaluation (star ratings) and peer evaluation (helpfulness votes). We investigate whether the core keywords influencing star ratings and helpfulness votes vary across different products and whether there is a similarity in the core keywords related to star ratings or helpfulness votes across all products. Design/methodology/approach We used random under-sampling to balance the dataset. We progressively removed independent variables based on decreasing importance through backwards elimination to evaluate the classification model's performance. As a result, we identified classification models that best predict star ratings and helpfulness votes for each product's online consumer reviews. Findings We have identified that the core keywords influencing self-evaluation and peer evaluation vary across different products, and even for the same model or features, the core keywords are not consistent. Therefore, companies' producers and marketing managers need to analyze the core keywords of each product to highlight the advantages and prepare customized strategies that compensate for the shortcomings.
