산성비 모델을 이용한 시간별 강우성분 예측 (Prediction of Temporal Variation of Son Concentrations in Rainwater)

  • A one dimensional time dependent acid rain model considering size distribution of aerosols and hydrometeors is developed to predict observed chemical and physical properties of precipitation. Temporal variations of anions and cations observed are predicted fairly well with acid rain model simulations. It is found that aerosol depletion rates are highly dependent on aerosol sizes under the assumption of Marshall - Palmer raindrop size distribution. Also, the aerosol depletion during the initial rain event largely influences on ion concentrations in rainwaters.

  • This article provides selects of outstanding problems in computational neutron transport, with some suggested approaches thereto, as follows: i) ray effect in discrete ordinates method, ii) diffusion synthetic acceleration in strongly heterogeneous problems, iii) method of characteristics extension to three-dimensional geometry, iv) fission source and $k_{eff}$ convergence in Monte Carlo, v) depletion in Monte Carlo, vi) nuclear data evaluation, and vii) uncertainty estimation, including covariance data.

  • MATERIAL AND PROCESS VARIABLES THAT STRONGLY AFFECT THE CORROSION RESISTANCE OF PA4 STAINLESS STEELS, INCLUDE : ALLOY COMPOSITION, POWDER CLEANLINESS, NITROGEN, OXYGEN AND GARBON CONTENTS, CHROMIUM DEPLETION DUE TO SURFACE EVAPORATION AND SINTERED DENSITY. THE OPTIMUM PROCESS PARAMETERS FOR DELUBRICATION AND SINTERING THAT RESULT IN LOWEST LEVELS OF NITROGEN, OXYGEN AND CARBON AND MINIMUM LEVELS OF CHROMIUM DEPLETION WILL BE PRESENTED, FOR A NUMBER OF AUSTENTIC AND FERRITIC STAINLESS STEELS. 폴리(비닐 아세테이트)/디메틸설폭사이드 계에서 동적 광산란법에 의한 탐침입자의 배제층 연구 (Studies on Depletion Layer of Probe Particles in the System of Poly(vinyl acetate)/Dimethyl Sulfoxide by Dynamic Light Scattering)

  • 고분자와 용매의 굴절률이 서로 일치되어 자체 산란광의 세기가 극소화된 시스템인 폴리(비닐 아세테이트) (PVAc)/디메틸설폭사이드(DMSO) 계에 폴리스티렌 라텍스 탐침입자(표시 직경 200 nm)를 소량 첨가한 뒤 동적 광산란법으로 용액의 PVAc 농도에 대한 입자의 확산 거동을 정밀하게 조사하였다. 구형 입자의 환산확산계수의 농도의존성은 환산농도 $C[{\eta}]$의 신장지수함수로 분석할 수 있었고, 묽은 농도에서는 배제층의 두께가 일정하게 유지되었으나 초기 준희박 농도인 $1{\leq}C[{\eta}]{\leq}2.5$ 범위에서는 배제층의 사슬농도 의존지수가 -0.8로써 이론적 계산치 -0.85와 일치하였다. 그러나 보다 높은 농도에서는 배제층의 두께가 이론적 예측보다 급속히 감소하는 현상 또한 관찰되었으며, 그 원인은 인접한 탐침 입자들 사이에 존재하는 Oosawa 인력 때문인 것으로 설명할 수 있었다.

하수처리수 재이용을 통한 도시하천 물순환 및 수질 개선 (Urban Instream Flow Augmentation Using Reclaimed Water in Korea)

  • Current urban stream conditions and their restoration projects were investigated by surveying the urban stream management experts in 29 cities with high population density (more than 1,000person/$km^{2}$). The survey results showed that the ratio of covered urban streams decreased by 1.4% (from 14% to 12.6%) in the last 5 years through steady river restoration projects promoted by governments. Nonetheless, 36.3% of 369 urban streams surveyed still report stream depletion problems; therefore, more efforts to alleviate the problems caused by distorted water circulation of urban streams are still necessary. Water depletion in many local urban streams, unlike national rivers, is accelerated due to negligence in stream management, budget shortage, and other reasons. To prevent stream depletion, the use of reclaimed water is suggested as one of the prevention plans. When available amounts of reused sewage are estimated through actual available nationwide sewage discharges of each watershed and instream flow of stream, annual instream flow supply of 780 million $m^{3}$ is expected; 4.8% reduction in the pollution load of public sewer treatment facilities is expected; and the creation of new value through water reuse service is expected. Thus, it is important for the reviews of feasibility and alternatives of water reuse projects for flow augmentation to consider not only investment budget reductions, but also environmental aspects. Also it is necessary to provide the financial support of unified government with strict water quality management policy.

Terra MODIS 위성영상과 SWAT 모형을 이용한 융설이 충주댐 유입량에 미치는 영향 평가 (Assessment of Snowmelt Impact on Chungju Dam Watershed Inflow Using Terra MODIS Data and SWAT Model)

  • 본 연구에서는 충주댐 유역($6,642.0km^2$)을 대상으로 Terra MODIS (Moderate-Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) 위성영상과 SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) 모형을 이용하여 융설이 댐유입량에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. SWAT 모형의 융설 매개변수인 적설면적 감소곡선(Snow Cover Depletion Curve; SCDC)을 결정하기 위해 10 sets (2000-2010)의 Terra MODIS 위성영상으로부터 추출한 적설분포도와 지상 강설자료를 이용하여 구축한 적설심분포도(snow depth distribution; SDD)를 도출한 결과, 50% 적설면적일 때의 적설면적감소계수(sno50cov)는 0.4~0.7의 범위를 가지는 것으로 분석되었다. 매년의 융설 매개변수를 적용하여 융설기간 (11~4월)동안의 유출을 보정한 결과 평균 $R^2$는 0.54이었다. 10년 동안 융설기간의 유출량은 평균 104.3 mm로 연 유출량의 12.0%를 차지하는 것으로 분석되었다.

치매의 변증 연구 (Study on Syndrome Differentiation of Dementia)

  • This article is for understanding dementia with the perspective of Korean Medicine through research on syndrome differentiations of dementia clinically applied and relations between modern diseases and Korean Medicine pattern types of dementia. clinical papers were searched in China Academic Journals(CAJ) of China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) from 2012 to 2013. Conclusions are as follows. First, dementia was expressed in many ways such as imbecility, stupidity, fatuity, idiocy, vacuity, etc and was related with amnesia, forgetfulness, speech not in the right order, depressive psychosis(quiet insanity), manic psychosis, depression syndrome. Second, prescriptions such as QiFuYin and ZuoGuiWan from JingYueQuanShu, XiXinTang and ZhiMiTang from BianZhengLu, TongQiaoHuoXueTang, XueFuZhuYuTang and BuYangHaiWuTang from YiLinGaiCuo, HaiShaoDan from YiFangJiJie, HuangLianJieDuTang from WaiTaiMiYao were suggested for dementia. Third, syndrome differentiation pattern types of dementia are kidney deficiency and marrow decrease, qi-blood depletion, liver-kidney depletion, spleen-kidney depletion, heart-spleen deficiency as deficiency patterns and effulgent heart-liver fire, ascendant hyperactivity of liver yang, qi stagnation and blood stasis, phlegm turbidity obstructing orifice, phlegm-blood stasis obstructing orifice, intense heat toxin as excess patterns and qi deficiency with blood stasis, yin deficiency with yang hyperactivity as deficiency-excess complex patterns. Major pattern types are kidney deficiency and marrow decrease, phlegm-blood stasis obstructing orifice, qi stagnation and blood stasis, liver-kidney depletion, phlegm turbidity obstructing orifice.

Effects of Hydroxybrazilin on Glutathione Depletion Induced by $\textrm{BrCCl}_3$ and Menadione in Cultured Rat Hepatocytes

  • In this study we investigated the effect of hydroxybrazilin on glutathione depletion induced by BrCCl$_3$ and menadione in cultured hepatocytes to understand the cellular mechanisms of hepatoprotective effect of hydroxybrazilin. Hydroxybrazilin alone had no effect on total glutathione level and the ratio of reduced glutathione/total glutathione (GSH/(GSSG+GSH)). BrCCl$_3$ dramatically decreased total glutathione level and hydroxybrazilin significantly prevented glutathion depletion by BrCCl$_3$. The ratio of GSH/(GSSG+ GSH) was also decreased by BrCCl$_3$ and recovered by hydroxybrazilin treatment. Menadione decreased total glutathione level and the ratio of GSH/(GSSG+GSH) but hydroxybrazilin showed no significant effects on menadione-induced glutathione depletion. These data suggest that hydroxybrazilin might prevent the hepatotoxicity induced by chemicalderived radicals but not the toxicity linked with oxidative stress.

Quantification and genotyping of PCV2 DNA in the tissues of PCV2-infected conventional pigs with different clinical signs

  • This study was focused on the genotyping and quantification of Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) in thirty PCV2-positive pigs with different clinical symptoms (PCV2-infected without wasting, PCV2-infected with wasting, PCV2-infected with wasting and lymphoid depletion). The quantity of PCV2 DNA in diverse tissues was significantly differed among these groups. (One-way ANOVA test, p<0.001) Interestingly, PCV2-DNA load in tissues of PCV2-infected pigs without wasting and PCV2-infected pigs with wasting and lymphoid depletion were not significantly differed (p = 0.38), while they were all significantly higher when compared with PCV2-infected pigs with wasting-only. PCV2 DNA quantity in tissues was significantly higher in PCV2a and 2b co-infected pigs compared to the PCV2b only-infected pigs (Wilcoxon test, p = 0.039). The PCV2a and 2b co-infected pigs had increased wasting and lymphoid depletion rate but it was not statistically significant. Therefore, this cross-sectional study suggested that PCV2 DNA load in tissues was diverse by clinical and histological findings. Furthermore, co-infection of PCV2a and 2b affected to the PCV2 DNA load in tissues with increased rate of wasting and lymphoid depletion.

대신호 등가회로 모델을 이용한 850nm Oxide VCSEL의 저전류 동작 특성 연구 (A Study on Low-Current-Operation of 850nm Oxide VCSELs Using a Large-Signal Circuit Model)

  • 850nm oxide VCSEL의 저전류 동작 가능성을 확인하기 위하여 off 전류와 on 전류를 최대한 낮춘 상태에서 VCSEL의 특성을 살펴보았다. Oxide VCSEL의 모델링을 위해 비율 방정식을 이용하여 대신호 등가회로를 만들었고, 실험 결과와 시뮬레이션 결과의 비교를 통해 각각의 계수와 특성변수를 추출하였다. 동특성에 큰 영향을 주는 커패시턴스 성분은 C-V 미터로 측정, 분석하였다. 완성된 대신호 등가회로 모델을 이용하여 커패시턴스 성분, 그리고 on 전류와 off 전류가 turn-on 특성과 turn-off 특성, eye-diagram에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 그 결과 지금까지는 무시해왔던 요소인 depletion 커패시턴스가 turn-on 특성에 큰 영향을 미치고, eye-diagram에도 큰 영향을 준다는 사실을 확인하였다. 그러므로 VCSEL의 고속 동작과 저전류 동작을 동시에 구현하기 위해서는 depletion 커패시턴스를 감소시키는 공정이 필요하다.
