  • Mobile & Telecommunication industry have been improved in recent years, many different and different shape devices have been introduced and relative services also consistently have been developed as well. Mobile users also demand new service and diverse contents different from vice oriented services and its quality improvement. Recently Smartphone has shown up and changed Mobile & Telecommunication industry and lead activating the industry. Particularly Smartphone users enjoy many different functions and service provided by Application Market. Actually this Application Market would lead improving Mobile& Telecommunication industry. This fact is worthy of notice. Therefore This study focus on Application Market and analyse what determinants affect user's intention to use Application Market. Mainly e-Servqual and TAM model are applied and research model was established and empirically tested. As a result information, transaction and design quality significantly effect on user's intention and perceived usefulness and easy of use also significantly more effect on user's intention. There will be several implications to establish strategy for application market based on this results.

  • Recently, there are lots of research work on fuzzy Information theory for many practlcal applications. As the fuzzy control systems become to be sophisticated, they demand more fuzzy parameters, membership functions and fuzzy Inference rules. Eventually, they need effective parallel computing architectures to implement those complex fuzzy inference rules. In this paper, a optical fuzzy Inference system based on 2-D spatial light modulator and digital image board Is Implemented as a new approach for real-time parallel fuzzy computing system. From its good experimental results on the practical fuzzy airconditioner system, a new real-time Opto Fuzzy Inference system Is suggested.

  • Cyber risk is rapidly increasing due to the hyperconnectivity of the IoT in the intelligent information society. Therefore cyber insurance has been attracting attention as a new risk management countermeasure by transferring cyber risk. However, cyber insurance is still a new concept in South Korea. The purpose of this study is to propose the concept of cyber insurance suitable for domestic demand by deriving the priority of cyber insurance coverage. Research results suggest that the most requisite cyber insurance types are business interruption and liability.

  • With the advent of industrialization, consumers and end-users demand more reliable products. Meeting these demands requires a comprehensive approach, involving tasks such as market information collection, planning, reliable raw material procurement, accurate reliability design, and prediction, including various reliability tests. Moreover, this encompasses aspects like reliability management during manufacturing, operational maintenance, and systematic failure information collection, interpretation, and feedback. Improving product reliability requires prioritizing it from the initial development stage. Failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) is a widely used method to increase product reliability. In this study, we reanalyzed using the FMEA method and proposed an improved method. Domestic railways lack an accurate measurement method or system for maintenance, so maintenance decisions rely on the opinions of experienced personnel, based on their experience with past faults. However, the current selection method is flawed as it relies on human experience and memory capacity, which are limited and ineffective. Therefore, in this study, we further specify qualitative contents to systematically accumulate failure modes based on the Failure Modes Table and create a standardized form based on the Master FMEA form to newly systematize it.

Creating Shared Value from Collaborative Logistics Systems: The Cases of ES3 and Flexe

  • Shared value enhances the competitiveness of a company while simultaneously reducing societal burdens. By allowing companies to share their resources, collaborative logistics systems provide companies with an opportunity to create shared value, namely, not only economic value by enhancing the utilization of resources, but also social value by reducing energy consumptions and greenhouse gas emissions associated with logistics and transportation. Emerging businesses, such as ES3 and Flexe, have recently demonstrated how they created shared value through collaborative logistics services, for example, ES3's collaborative warehousing and direct-to-store (D2S) program, and Flexe's on-demand warehousing platform. However, the development of collaborative logistics systems is currently at a nascent stage. There are quite a few socio-technical barriers to overcome for sharing resources (data as well as infrastructure). Drawing on the socio-technical approach, this research examines how companies create both economic and social value from collaborative logistics systems. We highlight socio-technical barriers, particularly one set of social barriers, that is, competition-oriented conservatism prevalent among companies. Using the case study methodology and interview data, we closely investigate ES3 and Flexe, which provide collaborative logistics services, and demonstrate how technical and social barriers are addressed to create shared value from collaborative logistics systems.

Family Restaurant Patrons' Perception on Nutrition Information of Restaurant Menus (패밀리 레스토랑 고객의 메뉴 영양정보에 관한 인식 연구)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the customers' perception on nutrition information provided on a family restaurant menu, to examine customers' intention to use the nutrition information when eating out if nutrition information would be provided, and to identify what kinds of nutrient information the customers want. A total of 265 respondents were answered. Female was sixty-six percents, and eighty-four percent of the respondents was less than thirty-five years old. The patrons' perception about nutrition information on the menu showed the level of 2.5 points out of 5 points, which pointed out that family restaurant patrons were not satisfied with receiving nutritional information related to the menu. The customers perceived that restaurants had responsibilities for providing nutritional information about menu items. Sixty-six percent of respondents showed a positive intention to the question item about how much the customer would use nutritional information provided on the menu. The customers, who were female (p<0.05), who had a good health status, who showed higher interest on weight control (p<0.01), and who were health-oriented (p<0.01), showed the higher intention to use nutritional information. Nutrient information in which the customers were interested strongly was a fat content, followed by cholesterol content and calorie information. According to the trends of eating out, preferring family restaurants, and increasing interests in a healthful menu, nutrition information demand in restaurant operations would be increased rapidly in the near future. Providing nutrition information at the point of menu choice might result in the improvement of customers' nutritional and health status by encouraging proper dietary habits of patrons as well as providing nutritional education. Therefore, it is recommended that government and restaurant firms should recognize the importance of nutrition information and make strategic plans for the future.

  • After conducting demonstration of transportation card for bus from Godeok-dong to Sangil-dong in 1996, due to continuously support for public transportation, the transportation card utilization of metropolitan public transportation passengers is currently going beyond 90%. In the current situation, transportation information system is mainly focused on road operation and control, offer of real time information and research of transportation information system using transportation card data which is differentiated by previous transportation information system is needed to study. This paper compare and analyze transportation information system, which is being used to each country, based on foreign examples of activating use of transportation card then introduce figure of advanced transportation information system which provide decision making feature for improving policy and institution of public transportation based on transportation card data, scientific analysis of passenger information, information of demand forecasting, variation and so on for constructing new route.

Collaborative Inference for Deep Neural Networks in Edge Environments

  • Recent advances in deep neural networks (DNNs) have greatly improved the accuracy and universality of various intelligent applications, at the expense of increasing model size and computational demand. Since the resources of end devices are often too limited to deploy a complete DNN model, offloading DNN inference tasks to cloud servers is a common approach to meet this gap. However, due to the limited bandwidth of WAN and the long distance between end devices and cloud servers, this approach may lead to significant data transmission latency. Therefore, device-edge collaborative inference has emerged as a promising paradigm to accelerate the execution of DNN inference tasks where DNN models are partitioned to be sequentially executed in both end devices and edge servers. Nevertheless, collaborative inference in heterogeneous edge environments with multiple edge servers, end devices and DNN tasks has been overlooked in previous research. To fill this gap, we investigate the optimization problem of collaborative inference in a heterogeneous system and propose a scheme CIS, i.e., collaborative inference scheme, which jointly combines DNN partition, task offloading and scheduling to reduce the average weighted inference latency. CIS decomposes the problem into three parts to achieve the optimal average weighted inference latency. In addition, we build a prototype that implements CIS and conducts extensive experiments to demonstrate the scheme's effectiveness and efficiency. Experiments show that CIS reduces 29% to 71% on the average weighted inference latency compared to the other four existing schemes.

A Study on the Improvement of RIMGIS for an Efficient River Information Service (효율적인 하천정보 서비스를 위한 RIMGIS 개선방안 연구)

  • The RIMGIS(River Information Management GIS) has been developed since 2000 for public service and practical applications of related works after the standardization of national river data such as the river facility register report, river survey map, attached map, and etc. The RIMGIS has been improved in order to respond proactively to change in the information environment. Recently, Smart River-based river information services and related data have become so large as to be overwhelming, making necessary improvements in managing big data. In this study a plan was suggested both to respond to these changes in the information environment and to provide a future Smart River-based river information service by understanding the current state of RIMGIS, improving RIMGIS itself, redesigning the database, developing distribution, and integrating river information systems. Therefore, primary and foreign key, which can distinguish attribute information and entity linkages, were redefined to increase the usability of RIMGIS. Database construction of attribute information and entity relationship diagram have been newly redefined to redesign linkages among tables from the perspective of a river standard database. In addition, this study was undertaken to expand the current supplier-oriented operating system to a demand-oriented operating system by establishing an efficient management of river-related information and a utilization system capable of adapting to the changes of a river management paradigm.
