  • The purpose of this study is to let the entire logistics system be managed in cyberspace by effectively sharing the logistics information between companies involved in the process, changing conventional commerce to electronic commerce. Most of the goods traded through electronic commerce are small goods involving small business transactions. This produces many problems in shipping and delivery and the leads an inefficient logistics system. Another problems is that there is no sharing of information that process the logistics flow and no systematic management of pick-up and delivery information. As a result, rise in logistics cost, longer delivery period and poor service quality are inevitable and these results are becoming an obstacle in the widespread usage of the electronic commerce. Companies that are part of logistics center can cooperate logistics business in Cyber space and share the entire logistics information through the cyber logistics center. This turns out in effective sharing of logistics information, and thus, allows efficient management of logistics, improves logistics service, and reduces logistics cost.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to derive contextual indicators of medical provider quality and assess their relative importance along with the individual utilization of antenatal care (ANC) and institutional births with a skilled birth attendant (SBA) in India using a multilevel framework. Methods: The 2015~2016 Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) from India was used to assess the outcomes of neonatal, infant, and under-five child mortality. The final analytic sample included 182,980 children across 28,283 communities, 640 districts, and 36 states and union territories. The contextual indicators of medical provider quality for districts and states were derived from the individual-level number of ANC visits (<4 or ${\geq}4$) and institutional delivery with SBA. A series of random effects logistic regression models were estimated with a stepwise addition of predictor variables. Results: About half of the mothers (47.3%) had attended ${\geq}4$ ANC visits and 75.8% delivered in institutional settings with SBAs. Based on ANC visits, 276~281 districts (43.1~43.9%) and 13~16 states (36.5~44.4%) were classified as "low" quality areas, whereas 268~285 districts (41.9~44.5%) and 8~9 states (22.2~25.0%) were classified as "low" quality areas based on institutional delivery with SBAs. Conditional on a comprehensive set of covariates, the individual use of both ANC and SBA were significantly associated with all mortality outcomes (OR: 1.17, 95% CI: 1.08, 1.26, and OR: 1.10, 95% CI: 1.02, 1.19, respectively, for under-five child mortality) and remained robust even after adjusting for contextual indicators of medical provider quality. Districts and states with low quality were associated with 57~61% and 27~43% higher odds of under-five child mortality, respectively. Conclusion: When simultaneously considered, district- and state-level provider quality mattered more than individual access to care for all mortality outcomes in India. Further investigations are needed to assess the importance of improving the quality of health service delivery at higher levels to prevent unnecessary child deaths in developing countries.

Methods: The service design process had four phases: discovery, definition, development, and delivery. The participants were 23 mothers of hospitalized children with an acute disease, and seven nurses and three doctors working at a pediatric hospital. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and observations. The data were analyzed using content analysis and descriptive statistics. Results: The participants reported needs for explanations about the treatment, skillful nursing, and environmental improvements. The concept of the services was familiarity and enjoyment, aimed at solving the problems of unfamiliarity and boredom. A six-guideline was presented for improving the quality of care of hospitalized children with acute diseases: improvement of awareness, development of educational materials, improvement of skills, environmental improvements, play activities, and evaluations of user satisfaction. Conclusion: These findings indicate that nursing services should deliver familiarity and enjoyment to hospitalized children and their families. The findings of this study emphasize that the service design methodology can be used to improve the quality of care of hospitalized children with acute diseases.

  • In recent years, technology is rapidly changing to support new service consumption and distribution models in multimedia service systems and hybrid delivery of media services is a key factor for enabling next generation multimedia services. This phenomenon can lead to rapidly increasing network traffic and ultimately has a direct and aggravating effect on the user's quality of service (QOS). To address the issue, we propose a novel system architecture to provide smart hybrid media services efficiently. The architecture is designed to apply the software-defined networking (SDN) method, detect changes in traffic, and combine the data, including user data, service features, and computation node status, to provide a service schedule that is suitable for the current state. To this end, the proposed architecture is based on 2-level scheduling, where Level-1 scheduling is responsible for the best network path and a computation node for processing the user request, whereas Level-2 scheduling deals with individual service requests that arrived at the computation node. This paper describes the overall concept of the architecture, as well as the functions of each component. In addition, this paper describes potential scenarios that demonstrate how this architecture could provide services more efficiently than current media-service architectures.
