  • The purpose of this dissertation is to study some of the vulcanization characteristics of rubber-bound antioxidants such as G-1, [N-(3-methacryloyloxy-2-hydroxypropyl)-N'-phenyl-p-phenylene diamine] and acryl, acrylamide & acrylester substituted hindered phenols. The influence of these antioxidants upon vulcanization characteristics in NR and SBR compounds in the presence of vulcanizing accelerators such as MSA, TT, DM, M & D was evaluated by means of Oscillationg Disk Cure Meter. The comparison was also made between the influence of rubber-bound antioxidants and that of conventional non-reactive antioxidants such as N-alkyl substituted PADA series. Regarding the influence of reactive type antioxidant G-1 mixed with accelerator TT upon vulcanization characteristics, rapid onset of vulcanization and higher degree of cross-linking were discovered, whereas in the case of accelerator M and DM, the result was slow onset of vulcanization and lesser degree of cross-linking. The comparison of vulcanizing characteristics among acrylic substituted hindered phenols as antioxidants was made under several vulcanization accelerator systems. Under such systems, MSA-S combined accelerator caused the onset of vulcanization to slow down and lowered the degree of cross-linking. Finally in the case of hindered phenol derivatives containing longer substituent, the delayed onset of vulcanization and the lowered degree of cross-linking could be discerned.

  • This study examined differences in consumers' images of short-term income forest products, preference, willingness to pay prices and purchase behavior according to dietary lifestyle as well as investigated what factors influence the degree of satisfaction when purchasing short-term income forest products and willingness to repurchase. According to dietary lifestyle, the results classified consumers as 'frugal housewife type,' 'convenience-seeking type,' and 'food high-involvement type.' A 'food high-involvement group' is defined as a group that wants high quality products regardless of price. In the 'frugal housewife type,' country of origin and hygiene/safety (considered when purchasing food) had positive influences on the degree of satisfaction. In the 'convenience-seeking type,' country of origin (considered when purchasing food) had a positive influence on the degree of satisfaction while country of origin (checked when purchasing food) had a negative influence on degree of satisfaction. Consumers had a lack of perception for short-term income forest products; subsequently, short-term income forest products had a weakness of low access to consumers. Therefore, farms for short-term income forest products need to divide products into 'high-priced' luxury products and 'low-priced' frugal products according to dietary lifestyle characteristics, improve packaging status to enable consumers to check quality certificates, and clearly indicate country of origin as well as improve distribution processes and increase consumer access to products.

  • The mechanical behaviors of the prefabricated steel-concrete composite beams are usually affected by the strength and the number of shear studs. Furthermore, the discrete degree of the arrangement for shear stud clusters, being defined as the clustering degree of shear stud λ in this paper, is an important factor for the mechanical properties of composite beams, even if the shear connection degree is unchanged. This paper uses an experimental and calculation method to investigate the influence of λ on the mechanical behavior of the composite beam. Five specimens (with different λ but having the same shear connection degree) of prefabricated composite beams are designed to study the ultimate supporting capacity, deformation, slip and shearing stiffness of composite beams. Experimental results are compared with the conventional slip calculation method (based on the influence of λ) of prefabricated composite beams. The results showed that the stiffness in the elastoplastic stage is reduced when λ is greater than 0.333, while the supporting capacity of beams has little affected by the change in λ. The slip distribution along the beam length tends to be zig-zagged due to the clustering of studs, and the slip difference increases with the increase of λ.

  • The outbreak of COVID-19 has changed our lifestyle. People spend much more time on YouTube, SNS and online shopping than before. Accordingly, the number of product review videos are steeply increasing in YouTube platform. When people watched the review videos, they might search additional information if they liked the videos. This study aims to investigate how the informativeness and the degree of attention gathering of product review videos influence on the product information sourcing intention and persuasion knowledge. We also try to find whether prior YouTube experience affects the relationship between the degree of attention gathering and persuasion knowledge. We conducted an online survey on 499 participants and analyzed using partial least square methods. Results show that 1) informativeness and the degree of attention gathering towards product review videos influence on the product information sourcing intention and user's persuasion knowledge. 2) Viewers' YouTube experiences moderate the increase of the viewers' persuasion knowledge caused by increasing the degree of viewers' attention gathering. This study implies that YouTube product review videos could be created in strategic manners. Also, it could be inferred that consumers' prior YouTube experiences may reduce negative potentials of the degree of attention gathering onto persuasion knowledge.
