  • The purpose of this study is to explore the degree of family strengths in Korea and the relationships of various characteristics to it. Family strengths the dependent variable is composed of four factors such as family commitment family communication family values and family crisis coping strategies. Independent variables are the following :i) family socio-demographic variables ii) individual variables iii) social variables. The main findings were as follows; 1. The degree of family strengths in Korea is generally high. Among four factors of family strengths the degree of family commitment is relatively higher and that of family values is relatively lower than the others. 2. The variables which independently affected the family strengths have influence in the following order ; individual marital satisfaction family's S.E.S(middle) self esteem, instrumental support from society and husband's income(middle level). These results show that the variable related to the family streng hs are multi-dimensional. Accordingly for the purpose of fortifying family in strengths educational programs should be prepared according to multi-dimensional characteristics.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the negative factors affecting personnel u-Learning acceptance and to analyze the interrelation among the factors in this research model. The two independent variables avoidable convenience and reliant convenience, based on pilot test results, and learning performance and perceived interactivity, based on the relevant literature, are used to examine the research model. The research problem was tested with data collected from 577 respondents in 23 universities. This study developed and empirically analyzed a model representing the relationship by using the Structural Equation Model. The major findings of this study are, firstly, that the higher reliant convenience is negatively affecting the degree of system use and learner’s satisfaction, whereas avoidable convenience is only affecting the learner’s satisfaction. Secondly, the higher learning performance and stronger perceived interactivity affects the degree of system use as well as learner’s satisfaction. Finally, the degree of system use affects the learner’s satisfaction.

Thus, the purpose of this study is to investigate the actual use of the consumer and their degree of evaluation for the component of the bed as well as their feeling of discomfort on the various parts of body. More than one hundred users of commercial beds were responded to the survey. The results obtained were as follows: (1) Complaint about the depression of the mattress and the noise from the bed was apparent in the current use of beds. (2) Important physical variable related to the comfortable sensation of the sleeping was the degree of support in maintaining the natural shape of the spine and waist. Durability and the degree of hardness of the mattress were also important physical parameters of bed perceived by consumer. (3) The degree of discomfort on the back and waist during sleep was closely related to the comfort evaluation of the bed.

This study also was to identify the causes of job stress: to examine job stress and job satisfaction; and to find factors that affect job satisfaction for physical therapists in Korea. A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted from February 17 to March 15 in 2003. Survey data was obtained from 255 therapists registered in Korean Physical-Therapists Association. Results were as follows: 1. The degree of job satisfaction was moderate. 2. The degree of stress with their work was a little high. 3. Duty itself is one of the main factors of job stress of physical therapists. Working atmosphere and the relationships with job colleagues turned to be closely related to the degree of satisfaction. 4. The longer their total term of service was and the older they are, the greater the satisfaction with work was. In conclusion, the physical therapists can be encouraged to do their work more energetically and voluntarily. At the same time, the feeling of mission can also grow by shortening of working hours, reducing the quantity of work, and offering more salary. It is also to recommend an effective performance of duty and the development of their medical service to be introduced.

  • Image-oriented information is becoming increasingly important on social networking services (SNS); the background of this trend is the popularity of selfies. Currently, camera applications using augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are gaining traction. An AR camera app is a smartphone application that converts selfies into various interesting forms using filters. In this study, we investigated the change of keywords according to the time flow of selfies in Goolgle News articles through semantic network analysis. Additionally, we examined the effects of using an AR camera app on appearance satisfaction and self-esteem when taking a selfie. Semantic network analysis revealed that in 2013, postings of specific people were the most prominent selfie-related keywords. In 2019, keywords appeared regarding the launch of a new smartphone with a rear-facing camera for selfies; in 2020, keywords related to communication through selfies appeared. As a result of examining the effect of the degree of use of the AR camera app on appearance satisfaction, it was found that the higher the degree of use, the higher the user's interest in appearance. As a result of examining the effect of the degree of use of the AR camera app on self-esteem, it was found that the higher the degree of use, the higher the user's negative self-esteem.

  • Purpose - This paper aims to explain the interactive relationship between small and medium-sized enterprises' clusters and regional economic growth, with Jiangsu Province as an illustrative example. It focuses on studying the promotional effects, if any, of small and medium-sized enterprises' cluster-development on regional economic growth, and vice-versa. Research design, data, and methodology - Data were collected from the Jiangsu Statistical Yearbook and the China Industrial Economic Statistical Yearbook, by selecting 26 industries as the research subjects. The sample interval selection is 1981-2012. The data were analyzed with the dynamic panel system using stata 12.0. Results - 1) The small and medium-sized enterprises' cluster degree and Jiangsu's economic growth have a long-term stable equilibrium relationship. 2) In the short term, they have a dynamic adjustment 3) The enterprises' cluster degree leads to regional economic growth in Jiangsu, but not vice-versa. Conclusions - Small and medium-sized enterprises' clusters have an important promotional effect on Jiangsu's economic growth, especially industries with high degree of agglomeration. Therefore, the formation of these clusters can significantly improve economic growth.

  • The validity of the hypothesis that between-breed differences of carcass composition in cattle can be reduced when compared at the same degree of maturity was assessed using carcass data of various breeds obtained from slaughter experiments in Denmark, Japan and Malaysia. All cattle were kept in intensive feeding conditions in this study. With respect to temperate data (Danish and Japanese data), although large between-breed differences were found in carcass composition in the comparison at the same slaughter weight, the differences were reduced when compared at the same degree of maturity. This result supported the above hypothesis. Kedah-Kelantan and their crosses in Malaysian data, however, had more muscle and bone contents but less fat content than temperate breeds, even if compared at the same degree of maturity. This could be attributed to the history that native Kedah-Kelantan breed has adapted itself in the direction of decreasing fat deposition which requires much energy and prevents heat evaporation, in order to survive under high temperature and high humiodity conditions in Malaysia. In spite of the same tropical breed, carcass composition of Sahiwal-Friesian was similar to that of other temperate breeds at the same degree of maturity.
