  • An educational institution issued a degree certificate to those students who have successfully completed all studies included in different levels of the degree program. The degree certificate presented by the University is of major significance in the person's life but the fabrication and circulation of fake certificates is inexpensive because a paper document can easily be forged with the availability of advance printing and copying technologies. So, there is a need to adopt a centralized authentication process that can verify and ensure the authenticity of a document. In order to prevent the spread of fake degree certificates a method is proposed where the integrity of the contents with in the certificate can be verified with the use of and Smart Phone Application. A Quick Response (QR) Code will contain a digital signature over the data such as degree holder's name, major program, Grade Point Average (GPA) obtained etc. Which will be signed by university authorities after the registration in central system and deployed in university. In order to verify the digital signature a person need to use a specific smart phone application which will scan and authenticate the certificate without gaining access to a user's security credentials such as password.

  • Illinois issues the following standard teaching certificates : Early Childhood (birth-grade 3), Elementary (grades K-9), High School (grades 6-12) Special (grade K-12), School Service Personnel, and Administrative. Any of the preceding certificates can be issued on a provisional (maximum of two fiscal years) basis to qualifying individuals. Other certificates issued are : Substitute, Provisional Vocational, Temporary Provisional Vocational, Part-Time Provisional, and General. To obtain an Early Childhood, Elementary, High School, or Special certificate in Illinois, you must either complete an approved teacher education program or be an experienced, licensed teacher seeking a subsequent certificate through transcript evaluation. You must meet all other requirements for the particular certificate you are seeking, For school Service Personnel and Administrative certificates you must have completed a state approved program before you may apply. The Standard Elementary Certificate, High School Certificate, and Special Certificate are valid for four years for teaching. These certificates may be issued to graduates with a bachelor's degree from a recognized college who have successfully completed the required certification examinations and who present certified evidence of having earned credits. All individuals receiving certificates must be of good character and in good health, and be at least 19 years of age and a citizen of the United States or legally present and authorized for employment.

Coverage, Density and Completeness of Sources used in Tehran Metropolitan Area Cancer Registry: According to the Data of Esophageal Cancer, 2003-2007

  • Background: The completeness of cancer registration is a major validity index of any reported cancer incidence. The present study aimed to evaluate the esophageal cancer incidence registered in the Tehran Metropolitan Area Cancer Registry. Materials and methods: The data on esophageal cancer abstracted from three sources of 1) pathology departments, 2) medical records, and 3) death certificates during 2003 till 2007 were utilized. The completeness of the data sources were evaluated using coverage (defined as the proportion of a community population with esophageal cancer identified by the source) and density (defined as the proportion of non-empty fields of the data by source). Results: A total 1,404 cases of esophageal cancer were reported for the duration of the study. Pathology provided 771, medical records 432, and death certificates 609. The coverage was 0.55 for pathology, 0.31 for medical records, and 0.43 for death certificates. The respective density values were 0.82, 0.96 and 0.98, respectively. Pathology (0.45) was the most complete source followed by medical records (0.42), and death certificates (0.29). Discussion: A low degree of completeness dictates putting more effort into case finding plus abstracting data more thoroughly.

HACCP 적용 학교 급식소 조리원의 위생지식과 위생관리 수행도 분석 (Assessment of Food Sanitation Knowledge and Performance of Food Service Workers in School Food Service Operations Implementing HACCP)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the levels of food sanitation knowledge and performance by school food service workers. The data were collected by 440 food service workers in Gyeongbuk province. The collected data were analyzed using the SAS package program (version 8.2 for Window). The results of this study are summarized as follows: 28.6% of the respondents worked in food service at the school where their children attended, 93.6% of the food service workers were part-time employees, and 40.4% had obtained cooking certificates. The food sanitation knowledge scores of food service workers differed significantly according to age (p<0.05), holding of cooking certificates (p<0.01), number of certificates (p<0.01), and whether food service workers is students' parents or not (p<0.01). In addition, the sanitation-performance-degree levels of a few sanitation management items were significantly different according to their food sanitation knowledge level, working time, and whether food service workers is students' parents or not. In conclusion, these factors that improve food service sanitation should be fully considered when food service workers are hired or when food service management policies are established. Additionally, sanitation education and training for school food service workers should be offered regularly with effective education media.

컴퓨터 관련 사무자동화 자격증취득을 위한 효율화 방안 (A Study on Efficient Plans for Acquisition of Office Automation Certificate of Qualification Relating to Computer)

  • When certificates of qualification relating to computer have shown up like dam water and meeting the age of office automation (OA) utilizing computer throughout the community, and at the point of time when the promotion of efficiency of duty is attempted by utilizing internet, the improvement plans should be groped for to expect to cultivate the national industrial manpower efficiently and by easily approaching the related OA certificates of qualification related to computer so that everyone can acauire the additional points for recognition of credit, entering company and promotion by the dimension of public trust, recognition degree, practial using level in actual affairs, reliability of problems and after manpower management of the certificates of qualification less expensively and saving time. the concrete plans are as follows: First, in the standard of making questions for the examination of 'Computer Utilizing Ability' executed by the chamber of commerce and Industry, there is the independent examination, but by inserting the presentation portion in the higher grade and middle grade, it should be contributed to improve office efficiency both in mane and reality. Second, though the internet retriever's examination is executed by the nongovernment specialized examination, since it is actually widely utilized in the office activities due to universality of using internet, it is now the time to newly establish and accommodate it as the national examination of 'internet Utilizing Ability', not the interest specialized retriever. Third, the applicants, shall take examination for the nongoverment certificate of qualification or enterprise's certificate of qualification at the date and place designated by the applicant, but there are much restrictions for the national certificate of qualification, so the date of examination shall be decided flexibly and efficiently to give chances to students by adjusting to the semesters of the students. Fourth, in this rapidly changing age of the informationalization community, the acquisition of the certificates of qualification through the university and the designated and entrusted educational institutes should be increased the proportion of activation to become officially recognized, and the extent of special treatment for obtainers of the certificate of qualification should be expanded to equip manpower competitive power in the age of informationalization.

무결성이 보장된 블록체인 기술을 활용한 PKI 기반 보안 게이트웨이의 인증 모델 (Authentication Model of PKI-based Security Gateway using Blockchain having Integrity)

  • 최근 국가가 공인하는 인증기관에서 발행하는 공인인증서를 폐지하고 인터넷 기업이 자체적으로 공동인증서를 발급하면서 그 책임을 부여하는 방법으로 전자서명법이 개정되었다. 인터넷 기업이 인증기관으로서 발행하는 공동 인증서의 사용이 허용되면서 공개키 인증서 도용에 따른 사기 피해의 확대가 예상된다. 무결성과 보안성이 내재된 블록체인에 PKI를 결합한 보안 게이트웨이에서 사용할 수 있는 인증 모델을 제안하였다. 제안 모델의 실용성 평가를 위해서 전문가 집단을 활용한 델파이 기법으로 중요도를 도출하고 인간의 주관성을 배제하는 평가방법인 수게노의 계층퍼지적분을 이용한 인증 모델의 보안성을 평가했다. 블록체인 기반 공동인증서는 무분별한 공인인증서의 발행과 오남용을 방지하고 보안성과 편의성이 확보된 서비스의 기반기술로 활용이 기대된다.

미국 정보 대학의 데이터사이언스 학위 현황 연구 (Degree Programs in Data Science at the School of Information in the States)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 문헌정보학 프로그램이 있는 정보 대학에서 수여하는 데이터사이언스 학위의 현황을 알아보는 것이다. 데이터 수집의 대상은, 2022년 미국도서관협회의 인가를 받은 문헌정보학 프로그램이 있는 64개의 대학에서 수여하는 데이터사이언스 학위였다. 분석의 대상은 각 대학의 데이터사이언스 학위 과정, 부전공, 세부 전공, 수료증, 취업 후 예상 진로, 취업률 등이었다. 교과 분석을 위해 미국 정보 대학에서 제시한 교과목 명, 교과 설명, 중점 교육 분야를 분석했다. 데이터사이언스를 학위 명으로 개설한 대학은 총 8개 정보 대학의 12개 학위였으며, 학사 학위 5개, 석사 학위 6개, 박사 학위 1개였다. 개설된 교과의 주제는 데이터사이언스 입문, 정보검색, 데이터마이닝, 데이터베이스, 데이터와 인문학, 머신 러닝, 메타데이터, 연구 방법론, 데이터 분석 및 시각화, 실습/캡스톤, 윤리 및 보안, 이용자, 정책, 큐레이션 및 관리였다. 대부분의 대학은 전통적인 문헌정보학 교과를 개설하지 않고 있었다. 정보 대학이 제시한 졸업 후 예상 취업 진로는 데이터사이언티스트, 데이터 엔지니어, 데이터 분석가 등이었다. 본 연구의 결과는 정보학의 관점에서 데이터사이언스 학위 과정, 세부 전공, 수료증 또는 교과과정 개발 및 개정을 위한 논의에 활용될 수 있는 기초 자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

식생활 스타일에 따른 단기소득임산물의 소비행태 (Non-Timber Forest Products Consumption Behaviors According to Dietary Lifestyle)

  • This study examined differences in consumers' images of short-term income forest products, preference, willingness to pay prices and purchase behavior according to dietary lifestyle as well as investigated what factors influence the degree of satisfaction when purchasing short-term income forest products and willingness to repurchase. According to dietary lifestyle, the results classified consumers as 'frugal housewife type,' 'convenience-seeking type,' and 'food high-involvement type.' A 'food high-involvement group' is defined as a group that wants high quality products regardless of price. In the 'frugal housewife type,' country of origin and hygiene/safety (considered when purchasing food) had positive influences on the degree of satisfaction. In the 'convenience-seeking type,' country of origin (considered when purchasing food) had a positive influence on the degree of satisfaction while country of origin (checked when purchasing food) had a negative influence on degree of satisfaction. Consumers had a lack of perception for short-term income forest products; subsequently, short-term income forest products had a weakness of low access to consumers. Therefore, farms for short-term income forest products need to divide products into 'high-priced' luxury products and 'low-priced' frugal products according to dietary lifestyle characteristics, improve packaging status to enable consumers to check quality certificates, and clearly indicate country of origin as well as improve distribution processes and increase consumer access to products.

  • The education examination and qualification systems around the world are now changing rapidly and unifying as one system. The Korean national system should be harmonious with this international tendency, in order to overcome the high degree of international economic competition. In this article, the current state of the international and national systems are critically compared and discussed with the intention of proposing improvements to the Korean national system. The Korean Welding Society has revamped its system so that its certificates might be recognized by the welding institutions in foreign countries such as the European Welding Federation (EWF) and still be recognized by the Korean Government. Their desire to join the system of International Institute of Welding (IIW).
