  • The methods of the geometric reconstruction and sensor calibration of satellite linear pushbroom images are investigated. The model of the sensor used is based on the SPOT model that is developed by Kraiky. The satellite trajectory is a Keplerian trajectory in the approximation. Four orbit parameters, longitude of the ascending node(${\omega}$), inclination of the orbit plan(I), latitude argument of the satellite(W) and distance between earth center and satellite, are used for the camera modeling. Time-dependent orbit parameters are expressed by quadratic polynomials. SPOT-5 images have been used for validation tests. The results are that the RMSE acquired from 20 GCPs is 1.763m and the RMSE of 5 checking points 2.470m. Because the ground resolution of SPOT-5 is 2.5m, the result obtained in this study has a good accuracy. It demonstrates that the sensor model developed by this study can be used to reconstruct the geometry of satellite image using pushbroom camera.

  • A cyber-physical system (CPS) is a new mechanism controlled or monitored by computer algorithms that intertwine physical and software components. Advanced persistent threats (APTs) represent stealthy, powerful, and well-funded attacks against CPSs; they integrate physical processes and have recently become an active research area. Existing offensive and defensive processes for APTs in CPSs are usually modeled by incomplete information game theory. However, honeypots, which are effective security vulnerability defense mechanisms, have not been widely adopted or modeled for defense against APT attacks in CPSs. In this study, a honeypot game-theoretical model considering both low- and high-interaction modes is used to investigate the offensive and defensive interactions, so that defensive strategies against APTs can be optimized. In this model, human analysis and honeypot allocation costs are introduced as limited resources. We prove the existence of Bayesian Nash equilibrium strategies and obtain the optimal defensive strategy under limited resources. Finally, numerical simulations demonstrate that the proposed method is effective in obtaining the optimal defensive effect.

  • Hull Mounted Sonar (HMS) is a long range submerged vehicle's hull-mounted passive sonar system which detects low-frequency noise caused by machineries of enemy ships or submerged vehicles. The HMS needs a sound absorption /insulation multi-layer structure to shut out the self-noise from own machineries and to amplify signals from outside. Therefore, acoustic analysis of the multi-layer system should be performed when the HMS is designed. This paper simplified the HMS multi-layer system to be an infinite planar multi-layer model. Also, main excitations that influence the HMS were classified into mechanical, plane wave and turbulent flow excitation, and the investigations for each excitation were performed for various models. Stiffened multi-layer analysis for mechanical excitation and general multi-layer analysis for turbulent flow excitation were developed. The infinite planar multi-layer analysis was expected to be more useful for preliminary design stage of HMS system than the infinite cylindrical model because of short analysis time and easiness of parameter study.

  • In this paper, a model is developed to simulate carbon/carbon composite fabrication using chemical vapor infiltration, considering density and porosity change in the preform and multi-step hydrocarbons reactions. The model considers the preform as a porous medium whose diffusion and flow properties changes due to the porosity. To verify the theoretical model, two numerical analyses were performed for the case that the flow inside the preform is zero and the case that the flow inside the preform is calculated by fluid mechanics. The numerical results showed good agreement with the experimental data.

  • In the present study, the effect of command signals of the flow control valve on performance of underwater discharge systems using a linear pump was investigated numerically. For that, the improved mathematical model was developed. The improvement is to calculate the flow leakage between the water cylinder and the piston. Also the model of the hydraulic cylinder is simplified. To validate the improved model, calculation results were compared with experiment results. The results of the study is as follows: Double ramp command signals of the flow control valve had an advantage over single ramp signals. The parametric study on the effect of double ramp command signals on performance of the system was performed. In case of using double ramp signals, the maximum acceleration of the underwater vehicle was reduced by approximately 50 % compared with using single ramp signals.

  • The phishing attack is a malicious emerging threat on the internet where the hackers try to access the user credentials such as login information or Internet banking details through pirated websites. Using that information, they get into the original website and try to modify or steal the information. The problem with traditional defense systems like firewalls is that they can only stop certain types of attacks because they rely on a fixed set of principles to do so. As a result, the model needs a client-side defense mechanism that can learn potential attack vectors to detect and prevent not only the known but also unknown types of assault. Feature selection plays a key role in machine learning by selecting only the required features by eliminating the irrelevant ones from the real-time dataset. The proposed model uses Hyperparameter Optimized Artificial Neural Networks (H-ANN) combined with a Hybrid Firefly and Grey Wolf Optimization algorithm (H-FFGWO) to detect and block phishing websites in Internet of Things(IoT) Applications. In this paper, the H-FFGWO is used for the feature selection from phishing datasets ISCX-URL, Open Phish, UCI machine-learning repository, Mendeley website dataset and Phish tank. The results showed that the proposed model had an accuracy of 98.07%, a recall of 98.04%, a precision of 98.43%, and an F1-Score of 98.24%.

  • Aircraft washing is performed periodically for corrosion control. Currently, the aircraft washing interval is qualitatively set according to the geographical conditions of each base. We developed a washing interval determination algorithm based on atmospheric corrosion environment monitoring data at the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) bases and United States Air Force (USAF) bases to determine the optimal interval. The main factors of the washing interval decision algorithm were identified through hierarchical clustering, sensitivity analysis, and analysis of variance, and criteria were derived. To improve the classification accuracy, we developed a washing interval decision model based on an artificial neural network (ANN). The ANN model was calibrated and validated using the atmospheric corrosion environment monitoring data and washing intervals of the USAF bases. The new algorithm returned a three-level washing interval, depending on the corrosion rate of steel and the results of the ANN model. A new base-specific aircraft washing interval was proposed by inputting the atmospheric corrosion environment monitoring results of the ROKAF bases into the algorithm.

  • It is necessary to analyze underwater acoustics channel(UAC) modeling and simulation for underwater weapon system development and acquisition. In order to analyze UAC, there are underwater acoustics propagation numerical analysis models(Ray theory, Parabolic equation, Normal-mode, Wavenumber integration). However, If these models are used for multiple frequency signal analysis, they are inaccurate to calculate result of analysis effectiveness and restricted for signal processing and analysis. In this paper, to overcome this problem, we propose simple/multiple frequency signal analysis model of the Pseudospectral Time-Domain Method synthetic environment UAC applied to underwater environment noise model as like as realistic underwater environment. In order to confirm the validation of the model, we performed the 9 scenarios simulation(4 scenarios of single frequency signal, 4 scenarios of multiple frequency signal, 1 scenario of single/multiple frequency signal like submarine radiated noise) for validation and confirmed the validation of this model through the simulation model.

  • In this study, a grid panel structure in which the woven CFRP composites were stacked in the orthogonal array was proposed and the mechanical properties were analyzed and studied. The grid parts were fabricated by cutting prepregs and laminating them. The grid panel structure was fabricated by co-curing with lower laminate plate in auto-clave process. The behavior of the proposed grid panel structure was evaluated by tests under tensile, compressive, shear, and bending loads. The effect of increasing the stiffness of the orthogonal grid structure was verified through these tests. In addition, the finite element model was constructed and compared with the test results, confirming the validity and reliability of the test and analysis.
