  • Galaxy clusters, the largest gravitationally bound systems, are an important means to place constraints on cosmological models. Moreover, they are excellent places to test galaxy evolution models in connection to the environments. To this day, massive clusters have been found unexpectedly(Kang & Im 2009, Durret et al. 2011, Tashikawa et al. 2012) and evolution of galaxies in cluster have been still controversial (Elbaz et al. 2007, Cooper et al. 2008, Tran et al. 2009). Finding galaxy cluster candidates in a wide, deep imaging survey data will enable us to solve the such issues of modern extragalactic astronomy. We have used multi-wavelength data from the UKIRT Infrared Deep Sky Survey Deep Extragalactic Survey (UKIDSS DXS/J and K bands), Spitzer Wise-area InfraRed Extragalactic survey (SWIRE/two mid-infrared bands), the Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System (PAN-STARRS/ g, r, i, z, y bands) and Infrared Medium-deep Survey(IMS/J band). We report new candidates of galaxy clusters and properties of their member galaxies in one of the wide and deep survey fields ELAIS-N1, European Large Area ISO Survey North1, covering sky area of $8.75deg^2$.

  • Galaxy clusters, the largest gravitationally bound systems, are an important means to place constraints on cosmological models. Moreover, they are excellent places to test galaxy evolution models in connection to the environments. To this day, massive clusters have been found unexpectedly at high redshfit (Kang & Im 2009, Durret et al. 2011, Tashikawa et al. 2012), and evolution of galaxies in cluster has not been fully understood. Finding galaxy cluster candidates at z > 1 in wide, deep imaging survey data will enable us to solve such issues of modern extragalactic astronomy. We report new candidates of galaxy clusters in the wide and deep survey fields, European Large Area ISO Survey North1(ELAIS-N1) and North2(ELAIS-N2) fields, covering sky area of $8.75deg^2$ and $4.85deg^2$ each. We also suggest a new useful colour-colour selection technique to separate 1 < z < 2 galaxies from low-z galaxies by combining multi-wavelength data from the UKIRT Infrared Deep Sky Survey Deep Extragalactic Survey (UKIDSS DXS, JK bands), Spitzer Wise-area InfraRed Extragalactic survey (SWIRE, Optical-Infrared bands), Canada France Hawaii Telescope (CFHT, z band) and Infrared Medium-deep Survey(IMS, J band).

  • With promising results and enormous capability, deep learning technology has attracted more and more attention to both theoretical research and applications for a variety of image processing and computer vision tasks. In this paper, we investigate 32 research contributions that apply deep learning techniques to the agriculture domain. Different types of deep neural network architectures in agriculture are surveyed and the current state-of-the-art methods are summarized. This paper ends with a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of deep learning and future research topics. The survey shows that deep learning-based research has superior performance in terms of accuracy, which is beyond the standard machine learning techniques nowadays.

  • DEEP-South (DEep Ecliptic Patrol of the Southern Sky) team will start the 2nd phase of KMTNet observation in Oct 2020. The DEEP-South observation mainly consists of three survey modes: (1) Activity survey (AS) that aims at finding active phenomena of small Solar System bodies. (2) Light curve survey (LS) targets to discover and characterize light variations of asteroids. And (3) Deep drilling survey (DS) focuses on the objects beyond the orbit of Jupiter (Centaurus and trans-Neptunian objects) as well as near Earth asteroids. For asteroid family (AF) studies and target of opportunity (TO) observations for urgent photometric follow-up, targeted mode will also be used. DEEP-South team is awarded 7.0% of the telescope time at each site every year from Oct 2020 to Sep 2023 in the 2nd phase of KMTNet operation which corresponds to about 75 full nights a year for the network. In this presentation, we will introduce our survey strategy and observation plan.

  • Electromagnetic and electric surveys were performed to reveal the deep structure of the Yangsan fault in the Bong-gye and Unyang areas, Kyeongnam Province, Korea. Especially, high-frequency magnetotelluric (HFMT) method of EM survey was mainly employed to study the deep subsurface configuration of Yangsan fault. HFMT survey was performed at 25 points of spacing 50 m, making 1.3 km survey line in Unyang area and 13 points of spacing 50 m, making 0.6 km survey line in Bong-gye area. Two 2-D cross-sections (Unyang and Bong-gye areas) were achieved as results. Electric survey by dipole-dipole array was performed to study the structure of shallow subsurface and compare the results with HFMT surveys. The results of HFMT and electric surveys show that Yangsan fault is a geologic boundary. It is very narrow and steep (about $80^{\circ}C$), and extends to 1~1.5 km depth.

  • The universe has been ionized in the post-reionization by several photon contributors. The dominant source to produce the hydrogen ionizing photons is not revealed so far. Faint quasars have been expected to generate UV photon budgets required to maintain ionization state of universe. Observational limits, however, hinder to discover them despite their higher number density than bright one. Consequently, the influence of faint quasars on post-reionization are not considered sufficiently. Therefore, a survey to find faint quasars at z ~ 5 is crucial to determine the main ionizing source in the post-reionization era. Deep images from the Hyper Suprime-Cam Subaru Strategic Program (HSC SSP) allow us to search for quasar swith low luminosities in the ELAIS-N1 field. J band information are obtained by the Infrared Medium-deep Survey (IMS) and the UKIRT Infrared Deep Sky Survey (UKIDSS) - Deep ExtragalacticSurvey (DXS). Faint quasar candidates were selected from several multi-band color cut criteria based on simulated quasars on color-color diagram. To choose the reliable candidates with possible Lyman break, we have performed medium-bands observations. Whether a candidate is a quasar or a dwarf star contamination was decided by results from chi-square minimization of quasar/dwarf model fitting. Spectroscopic follow-up observations confirm three quasars at z ~ 5. 100% spectral confirmation success rate implies that the medium-band observations effectively select faint quasars with strong Lyman alpha emission.

  • The ADF-S (AKARI Deep Field - South) toward South Ecliptic Pole is one of the deep survey fields designed for the study of Cosmic Infrared Background (CIB). Owing to the easy accessibility with space missions and its low background brightness, the deep extragalactic survey was initiated by AKARI deep far-infrared observations and it will be performed by other future missions (e.g., Euclid, NISS, SPHEREx). The recent optical survey with KMTNet enabled us to identify the optical counterparts for dusty star-forming galaxies such as ULIRG, DOG, SMG. In addition, the NISS will perform the valuable spectro-photometric survey in the ADF-S. Those multi-wavelength data sets helps to trace the major galaxy population contributing to the CIB. Here, we introduce the extragalactic survey with the NISS and report the current status of the multi-wavelength extragalactic studies in the ADF-S.

  • Deep packet inspection is widely recognized as a powerful way which is used for intrusion detection systems for inspecting, deterring and deflecting malicious attacks over the network. Fundamentally, almost intrusion detection systems have the ability to search through packets and identify contents that match with known attach. In this paper we survey the deep packet inspection implementations techniques, research challenges and algorithm. Finally, we provide a comparison between the different applied system.

  • Electric and electromagnetic surveys were conducted to investigate the deep structure of the Ulsan fault in Ipsil area, south of Kyeongju. On this study, especially high-frequency magnetotelluric method of electromagnetic survey in the frequency range of 10~100,000 Hz was mainly employed to study the deep subsurface configuration. High-frequency MT survey was performed at 70 points of spacing 30~50 m, making 3.8 km survey line. As a survey result, a 2-km-depth 2-D cross-section was achieved. It shows vertical and horizontal subsurface variations of resistivity values. Near-surface layer having low resistivity value becomes thicker eastward up to 800m. There is a steep low resistivity zone in the west side of survey line, and there exists two low resistivity zones dipping west in the east side of survey line. Two low resistivity zones are interpreted to be related to major movement pattern of the Ulsan fault. This suggests that major fault lines are developed on both peripheral sides of the broad fault zone.
