In this paper, we introduce the SSResUNet network model, which integrates the SPADE structure with the U-Net network model for accurate land cover classification using high-resolution satellite imagery without requiring user intervention. The proposed network possesses the advantage of preserving the spatial characteristics inherent in satellite imagery, rendering it a robust classification model even in intricate environments. Experimental results, obtained through training on KOMPSAT-3A satellite images, exhibit superior performance compared to conventional U-Net and U-Net++ models, showcasing an average Intersection over Union (IoU) of 76.10 and a Dice coefficient of 86.22.

KRDC 프레임워크는 사용자가 원하는 데이터와 태스크를 정의하고, 워크플로우로 구성, 학습 모델의 재현 및 활용을 지원한다.
The emergence and resurgence of novel respiratory infectious diseases since the turn of the millennium, including SARS, H1N1 flu, MERS, and COVID-19, have posed a significant global health threat. Efforts to combat these threats have involved various approaches, however, continued research and development are crucial to prepare for the possibility of emerging viruses and viral variants. Direct detection methods for viral pathogens include molecular diagnostic techniques and immunodiagnostic methods, while indirect diagnostic methods involve detecting changes in the condition of infected patients through imaging diagnostics, gas analysis, and biosignal measurement. Molecular diagnostic techniques, utilizing advanced technologies such as gene editing, are being developed to enable faster detection than traditional PCR methods, and research is underway to improve the efficiency of diagnostic devices. Diagnostic technologies for infectious diseases continue to evolve, and several key trends are expected to emerge in the future. Automation will facilitate widespread adoption of rapid and accurate diagnostics, portable diagnostic devices will enable immediate on-site diagnosis by healthcare professionals, and advancements in AI-based deep learning diagnostic models will enhance diagnostic accuracy.

Objective: We aimed to develop a deep neural network for segmenting lung parenchyma with extensive pathological conditions on non-contrast chest computed tomography (CT) images. Materials and Methods: Thin-section non-contrast chest CT images from 203 patients (115 males, 88 females; age range, 31-89 years) between January 2017 and May 2017 were included in the study, of which 150 cases had extensive lung parenchymal disease involving more than 40% of the parenchymal area. Parenchymal diseases included interstitial lung disease (ILD), emphysema, nontuberculous mycobacterial lung disease, tuberculous destroyed lung, pneumonia, lung cancer, and other diseases. Five experienced radiologists manually drew the margin of the lungs, slice by slice, on CT images. The dataset used to develop the network consisted of 157 cases for training, 20 cases for development, and 26 cases for internal validation. Two-dimensional (2D) U-Net and three-dimensional (3D) U-Net models were used for the task. The network was trained to segment the lung parenchyma as a whole and segment the right and left lung separately. The University Hospitals of Geneva ILD dataset, which contained high-resolution CT images of ILD, was used for external validation. Results: The Dice similarity coefficients for internal validation were 99.6 ± 0.3% (2D U-Net whole lung model), 99.5 ± 0.3% (2D U-Net separate lung model), 99.4 ± 0.5% (3D U-Net whole lung model), and 99.4 ± 0.5% (3D U-Net separate lung model). The Dice similarity coefficients for the external validation dataset were 98.4 ± 1.0% (2D U-Net whole lung model) and 98.4 ± 1.0% (2D U-Net separate lung model). In 31 cases, where the extent of ILD was larger than 75% of the lung parenchymal area, the Dice similarity coefficients were 97.9 ± 1.3% (2D U-Net whole lung model) and 98.0 ± 1.2% (2D U-Net separate lung model). Conclusion: The deep neural network achieved excellent performance in automatically delineating the boundaries of lung parenchyma with extensive pathological conditions on non-contrast chest CT images.
Artificial Intelligence is establishing itself as a familiar tool from an intractable concept. In this trend, financial sector is also looking to improve the problem of existing system which includes Fraud Detection System (FDS). It is being difficult to detect sophisticated cyber financial fraud using original rule-based FDS. This is because diversification of payment environment and increasing number of electronic financial transactions has been emerged. In order to overcome present FDS, this paper suggests 3 types of artificial intelligence models, Generative Adversarial Network (GAN), Deep Neural Network (DNN), and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). GAN proves how data imbalance problem can be developed while DNN and CNN show how abnormal financial trading patterns can be precisely detected. In conclusion, among the experiments on this paper, WGAN has the highest improvement effects on data imbalance problem. DNN model reflects more effects on fraud classification comparatively.
Job seekers are making various efforts to find a good company and companies attempt to recruit good people. Job search activities through self-introduction essay are nowadays one of the most active processes. Companies spend time and cost to reviewing all of the numerous self-introduction essays of job seekers. Job seekers are also worried about the possibility of acceptance of their self-introduction essays by companies. This research builds a classification model and conducted an experiments to classify self-introduction essays into pass or fail using deep learning and decision tree techniques. Real world data were classified using stratified sampling to alleviate the data imbalance problem between passed self-introduction essays and failed essays. Documents were embedded using Doc2Vec method developed from existing Word2Vec, and they were classified using logistic regression analysis. The decision tree model was chosen as a benchmark model, and K-fold cross-validation was conducted for the performance evaluation. As a result of several experiments, the area under curve (AUC) value of PV-DM results better than that of other models of Doc2Vec, i.e., PV-DBOW and Concatenate. Furthmore PV-DM classifies passed essays as well as failed essays, while PV_DBOW can not classify passed essays even though it classifies well failed essays. In addition, the classification performance of the logistic regression model embedded using the PV-DM model is better than the decision tree-based classification model. The implication of the experimental results is that company can reduce the cost of recruiting good d job seekers. In addition, our suggested model can help job candidates for pre-evaluating their self-introduction essays.
In this study, an acoustic full-waveform inversion using Adam optimizer was proposed. The steepest descent method, which is commonly used for the optimization of seismic waveform inversion, is fast and easy to apply, but the inverse problem does not converge correctly. Various optimization methods suggested as alternative solutions require large calculation time though they were much more accurate than the steepest descent method. The Adam optimizer is widely used in deep learning for the optimization of learning model. It is considered as one of the most effective optimization method for diverse models. Thus, we proposed seismic full-waveform inversion algorithm using the Adam optimizer for fast and accurate convergence. To prove the performance of the suggested inversion algorithm, we compared the updated P-wave velocity model obtained using the Adam optimizer with the inversion results from the steepest descent method. As a result, we confirmed that the proposed algorithm can provide fast error convergence and precise inversion results.

Adversarial attack, which geneartes adversarial data to make target model misclassify the input data, is able to confuse real life applications of classification models and cause severe damage to the classification system. An Black-box adversarial attack learns a substitute model, which have similar decision boundary to the target model, and then generates adversarial data with the substitute model. Jacobian-based data augmentation is used to synthesize the training data to learn substitutes, but has a drawback that the data synthesized by the augmentation get distorted more and more as the training loop proceeds. We suggest data augmentation with 'decay factor' to alleviate this problem. The result shows that attack success rate of our method is higher(around 8.5%) than the existing method.

Weeds are a major object which is very harmful to crops. To remove the weeds effectively, we have to classify them accurately and use herbicides. As computing technology has developed, image-based machine learning methods have been studied in this field, specially convolutional neural network(CNN) based models have shown good performance in public image dataset. However, CNN with numerous training parameters and high computational amount. Thus, it works under high hardware condition of expensive GPUs in real application. To solve these problems, in this paper, a hierarchical architecture based deep-learning model is proposed. The experimental results show that the proposed model successfully classify 21 species of the exotic weeds. That is, the model achieve 97.2612% accuracy with a small number of parameters. Our proposed model with a few parameters is expected to be applicable to actual application of network based classification services.

The classification of hyperspectral imagery (HSI) is essential in the surface of earth observation. Due to the continuous large number of bands, HSI data provide rich information about the object of study; however, it suffers from the curse of dimensionality. Dimensionality reduction is an essential aspect of Machine learning classification. The algorithms based on feature extraction can overcome the data dimensionality issue, thereby allowing the classifiers to utilize comprehensive models to reduce computational costs. This paper assesses and compares two HSI classification techniques. The first is based on the Joint Spatial-Spectral Stacked Autoencoder (JSSSA) method, the second is based on a shallow Artificial Neural Network (SNN), and the third is used the SVM model. The performance of the JSSSA technique is better than the SNN classification technique based on the overall accuracy and Kappa coefficient values. We observed that the JSSSA based method surpasses the SNN technique with an overall accuracy of 96.13% and Kappa coefficient value of 0.95. SNN also achieved a good accuracy of 92.40% and a Kappa coefficient value of 0.90, and SVM achieved an accuracy of 82.87%. The current study suggests that both JSSSA and SNN based techniques prove to be efficient methods for hyperspectral classification of snow features. This work classified the labeled/ground-truth datasets of snow in multiple classes. The labeled/ground-truth data can be valuable for applying deep neural networks such as CNN, hybrid CNN, RNN for glaciology, and snow-related hazard applications.
