The school library provides a mobile web service that allows access to the library catalog system, and provides services that reflect the needs of search and consider the characteristics of mobile devices. Therefore, this study conducted a literature review, an analysis of the current status of school library mobile web services, and a survey of the mobile service user experience of students and teachers to find the contents and service plans for school library mobile app services that meet the school library mobile needs. Based on the survey, the contents and design plan of the school library DLS mobile service was prepared. First, the steps were reduced from step 4 to step 3. In the first step, solution of screen clipping errors in registering as a member and various login platforms for accessibility are needed. In the second step, integrated search and detailed search, provision of materials for use and reading education, post-booking activities, guides and announcements on the use of the affiliated school library, inter-loan, and e-books are provided as main menu. In the third step, it was proposed to provide related functions such as reservations as well as the display of the detailed screen of the search results of the collection. This study can be used not only to develop dedicated mobile app services, but also to change current web-based mobile services.

This study evaluated the fiction collection of Korean public libraries by applying use factor and suggested various measures to enhance collection development function. As a result, while the collection building and borrowing ratios of Korean literature in literature collection by language were the highest at 62.6% and 54.3% respectively, the use factor was lower than the base value(1.00). And while the collection building and borrowing ratios of Korean contemporary fiction by item category were the highest at 65.60% and 51.36% respectively, the use factor was lower than the base value and the use factor by year is decreasing in recent years. The reason is because of poor collection development. Therefore, public library need to consider active alternatives such as establishment of the collection development policy and fiction collection development guideline, composition of the fiction material selection committee, adaption of the dedicated librarian system for fiction material development, development and utilization of a selection tool for fiction materials, and periodic evaluation of fiction collection.

This study comprehensively reconstructs the life of Baek Rin (1923-2015), who dedicated 43 years of his life as a university librarian, and provides an overview of his influence on the development of library science and his academic achievements. After passing the librarian recruitment exam at Seoul National University in 1948, he excelled as a librarian, handling various Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Western literary materials. During the Korean War, he was in charge of the practical tasks of transporting and storing the National Treasures from Gyujanggak to Busan. After the war, he was responsible for organizing, cataloging, and classifying the books of Gyujanggak at Seoul National University. He prepared the initial drafts of book classification and served as an executive in several organizations, including the Korean Library Association. While teaching at universities after obtaining a master's degree in library science from Yonsei University, he published 49 academic articles and 7 edited and authored books. It is highly regarded that he was the first scholar to chronologically write the history of libraries in Korea. In 1973, he transferred to Harvard University's Yenching Library as a Korean studies cataloging librarian, and until his retirement in 1991, he cataloged East Asian classical texts and Korean books at Harvard's Yenching Library and supported the research of professors there. Baek Rin is a first-generation research librarian and teacher who laid the foundation for the barren Korean library science world.

The present study investigates librarians perceptions of Free Learning Semester, and their commitment to program development for coordination with Free Learning Semester, and whether they currently offer programs for Free Learning Semester. The study results are as follows. First, the results on perceptions of Free Learning semester showed that 54.20% of the librarians who participated in the study were aware of Free Learning Semester, and 80.15% had participated in training related to Free Learning Semester. Regarding the anticipated outcomes of implementation of Free Learning Semester, "Participation in various experiential activities offered through Free Learning Semester" was the most common response, and regarding special considerations in Free Learning Semester, "Need for instituting the dedicated workforce and enhancing their sense of responsibility and expertise" was the most common response. Second, regarding the library program development and provision for coordination with Free Learning Semester, 58.02% thought that the implementation of Free Learning Semester was an opportunity to expand the role of libraries, while insufficient budget was listed as a barrier. In addition, 63.36% stated that they had no experience in providing a program in a library. Finally, the results on the perception on the Free Learning Semester program they want to provide in a library showed that "Human Library" and "Read! Think! Dream!" were the programs they want to provide most, with the mean score of 3.939.

In this study, development directions for smooth introduction of transferring non-specialized libraries to specialized libraries are suggested based on the analysis conducted on non-specialized library librarians and users to investigate and analyze the comparative requirements for specializing libraries, specialization topics, demand for spaces and programs for specialization and view of important factors of each area when operating specialized libraries in future. As a result, first, when introducing a specialized library, it is necessary to derive a specialized topic that can identify and provide the characteristics of the region and the status of existing library. And a demand analysis. Based on this, the subject should be selected through the demand survey of the local residents. Second, from the stand point of targeted subjects of specialized service, it is necessary to provide tailored services by understanding the service range for each age group based on local population distribution and library user analysis. Third, experience-type, lecture-type and view-type can be suggested for specialized programs, considering the characteristics of the specialized subject field. It is ideal to operate combination of the three based on the subject filed details. Also, the characteristics of the subject and the types of program should be considered for specialized spaces. Finally, in order to systematically operate and promote specialized libraries, allocating dedicated personnel, linking with other institutions and strategies of promotion and marketing should be considered.

Academic libraries have actively responded to social requirements and changes in scholarly communication system. In recent years, social and scholarly requirements for systematic management and sharing of research data have become apparent. Major countries including U.S., UK and Australia have begun national policies requiring management and sharing of research data from publicly funded R&D projects. This case study identified four academic libraries in the US with active research data support services and analyzed them in terms of how they established dedicated unit and the extent of services in the areas of instruction, consulting and system support. The analysis provides context for academic libraries in Korea in formulating their future research data strategies. The core of the recommendation is primarily concerned with developing instructional services and strengthening library's capabilities for research data management and sharing.

This paper shows the GUI-sharing mechanism based on GDI hooking that can be useful for group users to ,share application programs dedicated to specific systems in distributed environments. In order to implement a networked-group working for real-time bases, an application-sharing mechanism should be necessary. This paper presents the implementation issues of application-sharing mechanism and provides a way of group working by implementation of GDI hooking module using GDI library in Windows 95 environment.

This paper introduces the development of design capabilities for air cylinders and jig bases in a three-dimensional jig design system for automobile body assembly. We first built the standard part library for these parts, and then developed the dedicated 3D design capabilities based on the Unigraphics system. By using this 3-D jig design system, design can be performed more intuitively, and verification and simulation of design results can be done more easily as the 3-D design result can be used readily for virtual manufacturing simulation.

The ATE driver to test a high speed semiconductor chip is designed by using general logic drivers instead of dedicated pin drivers. We have proposed a structure of general logic drivers using FPCA and assured its correct operation by EDA tool simulation. PCB circuit was implemented and Altera FPGA chip was programmed using DDR I/O library. On the PCB, it is necessary to place two resistors connected output drivers near to the output pin to adjust an impedance matching. We confirmed that the measured results agree with the simulated values within 5% errors at room temperature for the input signals with 800Mbps data transfer rate and 1.8V operating voltage.

The manufacture of a marine propeller typically requires long lead time to generate 5-axis tool path. Hence it may take several weeks to manufacture a satisfactory propeller with a general purpose CAD/CAM system. In this research a dedicated 5-axis CAD/CAM system for machining marine propellers has been developed, The system employs various methods to enhance the productivity : interference-free tool path generation employing check vectors and optimum cutter size determinants. In addition an iterative NURBS modeling technique is used to improve the accuracy of the modeled surface and effective cutting conditions are determined and recommended empirically to increase the productivity. The proposed CAD/CAM system has been implemented with C++ and OpenGL graphic library on the Windows system. The system validation and sample results are also given and discussed.
