Though the Hough transform is a well-known method for detecting analytical shape represented by a number of free parameters, the basic property of the Hough transform, the one-to-many mapping from an image space to a Hough space, causes the innate problem, the sensitivity to noise. To remedy this problem, Edge Strength Hough Transform (ESHT) was proposed and proved to reduce the noise sensitivity. However the performance of ESHT depends on the size of a Hough space and image and some other parameters which should be decided experimentally. In this paper, we derived formulae to decide 2 parameter values; decreasing parameter and broadening parameter, which play an important role in ESHT. Using the derived formulae, 2 parameter values can be decided only with the pre-determined values, the size of a Hough space and an image, which make it possible to decide them automatically. The experiments with different parameter values also support the result.

Software reliability is one of the most elementary and important problems in software development In order to find the software failure occurrence, the instantaneous failure rate function in the Poisson process can have a constant, incremental or decreasing tendency independently of the failure time. In this study, we compared the reliability performance of the software reliability model using the parameters of Pareto life distribution with the intensity decreasing pattern and the shape parameter of Erlang life distribution with the intensity increasing and decreasing pattern in the software product testing. In order to identify the software failure environment, the parametric estimation was applied to the maximum likelihood estimation method. Therefore, in this paper, we compare and evaluate software reliability by applying software failure time data. The reliability of the Erlang and Pareto life models is shown to be higher than that of the Pareto lifetime distribution model when the shape parameter is higher and the Erlang model is more reliable when the shape parameter is higher. Through this study, the software design department will be able to help the software design by applying various life distribution and shape parameters, and providing basic knowledge using software failure analysis.

The aim of this work is to generalize parametric approximation in order to apply them to an one-sided $L_1$-approximation. A natural question now arises : when is the parameter map $$P:f{\rightarrow}P_{K(f)}(f)$$ continuous on $C_1(X)$ ? We find some results with a monotone decreasing sequence about above question.

The grinding force generated during the grinding process causes an elastic deformation of the workpiece, grinding wheel, and machine system. Thus, the true depth of cut is always smaller than the apparent depth of cut. This is known as machining elasticity phenomenon. The machining elasticity parameter is defined as a ratio between the true depth of cut and the apparent depth of cut. It is an important factor to understand the material removal mechanism of the grinding process. To increase productivity, the value of this machining elasticity parameter must be large. Therefore, it is essential to know the characteristics of this parameter. The objective of this research is to study the effect of the major grinding conditions, such as table speed, depth of cut, on this parameter experimentally, Through this research, it is found that this parameter value is increasing when the table speed is decreasing or the depth of cut is increasing. Also, this parameter value depends on the grinding mode (up grinding, down grinding).

The Bayesian model selection procedures for the shape parameter of gamma distribution are proposed in order to test that the failure rate of gamma distribution is constant, increasing or decreasing. The encompassing intrinsic Bayes factor by Beger and Pericchi (1996) based on Jeffreys prior for shape parameter is used to investigate the usefulness of the proposed Bayesian model selection procedures via both real data and pseudo data.
This paper deals with behaviors of Poisson's ratio with water content through uniaxial compressive strength against 307 individual rock cores, which are classified into sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rock. Poissons' ratio demonstrates independent behaviors and does not correlate with mechanical and physical parameter of rocks. The water content behavior of Poissson's ratio represents decrease, increase and random style. Rock samples with decreasing behavior demonstrate absolute preponderance above the 70% level. As Poisson' ratio shows independent behaviors, it should be considered based on experimental results of in-situ rock in the process of design, construction, and supervision.

Software reliability in the software development process is an important issue. In infinite failure non-homogeneous Poisson process software reliability models, the failure occurrence rates per fault. can be presented constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing pattern. In this paper, the reliability software cost model considering decreasing intensity function was studied in the software product testing process. The decreasing intensity function that can be widely used in the field of reliability using power law process, log-linear processes and Musal-Okumoto process were studied and the parameter estimation method was used for maximum likelihood estimation. In this paper, from the software model analysis, we was compared by applying a software failure interval failure data considering the decreasing intensity function The decreasing intensity function model is also efficient in terms of reliability in the arena of the conservative model can be used as an alternating model can be established. From this paper, the software developers have to consider life distribution by preceding information of the software to classify failure modes which can be gifted to support.

Current investigation aims to analyze the characteristics of magnetohydrodynamic boundary layer flow of bioconvection Casson fluid in the presence of nano-size particles over a permeable and non-linear stretchable surface. Fluid passes through the Darcy-Forchheimer permeable medium. Effect of different parameter such as Darcy-Forchheimer, porosity parameter, magnetic parameter and Brownian factor are investigated. Increasing Brownian factor leads to the rapid random movement of nanosize particles in fluid flows which shows an expansion in thermal boundary layer and enhances the nanofluid temperature more rapidly. For large values of Darcy-Forchheimer, magnetic parameter and porosity factor the velocity profile decreases. Higher values of velocity slip parameter cause decreasing trend in momentum layer with velocity profile.
Based on the method of determination for relative stability of each phase from the difference among the interaction parameters of the phases consisting the mixed layer, the types of interactions between layers were specified and interaction parameter between layers in ordered domain was analytically derived as a function parameter between layers in ordered domain was analytically derived as a function of not only temperature and mole fraction of layers but also ordering parameter. Interaction parameter between the different layers in ordered phase, L is as follows:{{{{ {L }_{1 } (X,Q,T)= { C} over { Q} -4(1-2Q) { L}^{2 } - { RT} over {2} ln { 1} over {2 } - { 2RT} over { { X}_{ s} } ln { { 4QX}`_{s } ^{2 } } over {(1- { X}_{s }- { QX}_{s })( { X}_{s }- {QX }_{s } ) } }}}}L2 is the interaction parameter between ordered and disordered phase in domain and is the mole fraction of the domain which represent the infinite length of mixed layer mineral and Q and C are the reaction progress parameter and arbitrary constant, respectively. This equation was used for the I/S mixed layer clay minerals to infer the relative stability of R1 type I/S mixed layer in the temperature range from 373K to 450K. The result of calculation suggest that, owing to the decrease in interaction parameter with increasing temperature. The interaction parameter decreases more rapidly with decreasing mole fraction of smectite in domain, which is consistent with the fact that the probability of finding the series smectite layer is lo in the domain with small mole fraction of smectite layers in natural system.
