The purpose of the research is to investigate the amount of private education expenditures for on-line education and the factors which affect on-line education expenditures and its decreasing effect of private education expenditures. The results of this study can provide basic materials to found policy to decrease private education market and private education expenditures. The sample of this study was 484 parents who had an experience using on-line education for their children being in mainly constituted by classes of pre-school over and less than high school student. The results was as follows. First, education expenditures for on-line education are 64,900won and the English and the Mathematics as main reasons using on-line education were that it is available for 24 hours and cheaper than off-line education. The parents got information for on-line education by internet, mass media and their next-door neighbors. Second, the significant variables which affect on-line education expenditures and its decreasing effect of education expenditures were the children's school level and financial related factors.
Propagation characteristics of tribrachial flames have been studied numerically in a two-dimensional fuel/oxidizer mixing layer. A flame is initiated by imposing a high temperature ignition source. Subsequent propagation of a tribrachial flame is traced. The flow redirection effect at the leading edge of a tribrachial flame increases the propagation speed beyond the corresponding stoichiometric laminar burning velocity. The effect of mixture fraction gradient on the propagation speed of a tribrachial flame is analyzed in a mixing layer considering that mixture fraction gradient increases as a tribrachial flame propagates toward upstream. As the flame curvature at the leading edge increases with decreasing mixture fraction gradient, the flow redirection effect becomes more pronounced on the flame propagation speed. As a result, the propagation speed of a tribrachial flame increases with decreasing mixture fraction gradient.
To clarify the therapeutic effect of aquapuncture therapy on bovine foot rot, the experimental cattle were divided into control (conventional treatment), aquapuncture and combined treatment groups. Each group was composed of 6 Holstein cows with bovine foot rot. In the present study, the change in grade of lameness, total leukocyte counts, N/L. ratio, mean recovery rates (days) and histopathological changes of interdigital tissue before and after treatment were evaluated. The grade of lameness was decreased by treatment in each group, with the decreasing in order of combined > aquapuncture > control group. In change of total peripheral blood leukocyte counts, the tendency of decrease was found. Significances were detected on 9th day (P < 0.05) in control, on 6th day (P < 0.01) in aquapuncture group, and on 3rd (P < 0.05) and 6th day (P < 0.05) in combined group, respectively. In addition, significances were detected on 3rd and 6th day in aquapuncture, and on 3rd day in combined group by comparison with that of control, respectively. N/L ratio was decreased by therapy in each group with the decreasing in order of combined > aquapuncture ) control group. Significances were detected on 6th day (P < 0.01) between aquapuncture and combined groups. The mean recovery rates(days) were rapid with the decreasing in order of combined > acuapuncture > control group. In histopathological findings of interdigital tissue, the findings of inflammation and hemorrhage were not observed after treatment in each group. In conclusion, it was thought that aquapuncture and combined therapy was very effective on treatment of bovine foot rot.

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of air velocity on the thermal resistance of wool ensembles. Three suits for men with different weaving structure and density were made with the same design and size for the study. In addition, Y-shirt, underwear, and socks were prepared for constructing the ensembles. Thermal insulation of air layer and 3 ensembles were measured by using thermal manikin in environmental chamber controlled at 2$0^{\circ}C$ and 65% RH with various air velocity. The results were as follows: 1. Thermal resistance of air layer was 0.079 m2.$^{\circ}C$/W with no air velocity(less than 0.2m/sec). 2. Thermal resistance of air layer decreased with increasing the air velocity rapidly. When the air velocity was 0.25 and 2.89 m/sec, the decreasing rate was 15% and 61%, respectively compared with no air velocity. 3. While there was little difference among the effective thermal insulation of 3 ensembles having different weaving structure and density with no air velocity, there was sharp difference among them when the air velocity increased. That is, the decreasing rate of effective thermal insulation of the ensemble which has higher air permeability was higher. 4. The decreasing rates of the effective thermal resistances of plain, twill and satin ensemble were 61, 54, and 49%, respectively when the air velocity was 2.89 m/sec which was a maximum air velocity in this study.
A microscopic mass balance approach has hsown that the initial saturation (Is), absorption number (An), dose number (Do), and dissolution number (Dn) are four fundamental dimensionless parameters that can be used to estimate the fraction dose absorbed (F)l of suspensions of poorly soluble drugs in humans. The dissolution number of a drug increases with decreasing its particle size. The effect of micronization on F for suspensions was investigated in terms of Dn. About 90% of maximal F can be achieved at $Dn{\approx}2$. Increasing the solubility of a drug results in better oral absorption through increasing Dn and decreasing the solubility of a drug results in better oral absorption through increasing Dn and decreasing Do. The fractions dose absorbed of digoxin, griseofulvin, and benoxaprofen agree with predicted F values sorbed by reducing particle size, while absorption of drugs with high Do and low Dn is limited by solubility and requires higher solubility to enhance the fraction dose absorbed in addition to micronization. Solubility at the physiological pH should be used for the estimation of the fraction dose absorbed.

The regularity effect for printed word recognition and naming depends on ambiguities between single letters (small grain-size) and their phonemic values. As a given word is repeated and becomes more familiar, letter-aggregate size (grain-size) is predicted to increase, thereby decreasing the ambiguity between spelling pattern and phonological representation and, therefore, decreasing the regularity effect. Lexical decision and naming tasks studied the effect of repetition on the regularity effect for words. The familiarity of a word from was manipulated by presenting low and high frequency words as well as by presenting half the stimuli in mixed upper- and lowercase letters (an unfamiliar form) and half in uniform case. In lexical decision, the regularity effect was initially strong for low frequency words but became null after two presentations; in naming it was also initially strong but was merely reduced (although still substantial) after three repetitions. Mixed case words were recognized and named more slowly and tended to show stronger regularity effects. The results were consistent with the primary hypothesis that familiar word forms are read faster because they are processed at a larger grain-size, which requires fewer operations to achieve lexical selection. Results are discussed in terms of a neurobiological model of word recognition based on brain imaging studies.
A meta-analysis of 14 quasi-experimental studies was conducted to compare the effect of size on various relaxation therapies applied to patients and health volunteer students. These studies were selected from theses, dissertations and papers that have been done between 1982 to 1993. Also They have a randomized or nonequivalent control group in a pre test-post test design. The studies were evaluated in different ways; 1) types of relaxation therapy, 2) total amount of time of relaxation therapy, and 3) types of outcome variables. For a group of homogenious studies, the weighted mean effect size and standard error were estimated. Some findings are summarized as follows : 1. Jacobson relaxation therapy had a larger effect on systolic and diastolic blood pressures than on state anxiety. 2. For the total time of relaxation therapy, (longer than 60 minutes) had a much larger effect in decreasing systolic and diastolic blood pressures than in the case of a time period shorter than 60 minutes. 3. Relaxation therapy applied to surgery patients also had a larger effect in decreasing state anxiety than when applied to other patients.
The decreasing effect of wrinkle on the pressure sensitive adhesive hydrogel patches containing ulmi cortex extract and sorbitol as the drug for anti-wrinkle were investigated. In this study, hydrogels were prepared by the crosslinking reaction of acrylic polymers and aluminum ions produced by L(+)-tartaric acid hydrolysis of the dihydroxy aluminum aminoacetates. The inhibition concentration of ulmi cortex extract on the collagenase exhibited at 0.01%. Furthermore, the moisturizing effect of hydrogel patches formulated with sorbitol was higher than that without it. In vivo animal test in hairless mouse showed that the ulmi cortex-loaded hydrogel patches had about 31.2% of anti-wrinkle effect compared to blank (before attaching the patches). Human test showed that only 33% of subjects showed the decreasing of wrinkle during 8 weeks. In conclusion, the model pressure sensitive adhesive hydrogel patches in this study would be pharmaceutically applicable for the wrinkle treatment on the facial skin.

Recently, as the dimensions of energy carriers increase, especially in draft, a reliable prediction of the ship motions at finite depths of water becomes necessary. The purpose of this paper is to probe the effect of finite water depth on the hydrodynamic forces and ship motions, particularly heave and pitch, in longitudinal regular head waves, by comparing the experimental value of Freakes and Keay with the author's theoretical value obtained by applying the modified strip theory to the Mariner class ship. It is confirmed that generally the hydrodynamic coefficients in the equations of motion increase with decreasing water depth, and the wave exciting forces and moments decrease with decreasing water depth. Amplitudes of heave and pitch in longitudinal regular head waves decrease as the water depth in the range where the length of the incident wave is comparatively long. The effects of Froude Number on the hydrodynamic coefficients increase with decreasing water depth and is more noticeable in the case of heave than pitch. In heave, generally the discrepancy between the experimental value and the theoretical value is relatively small in the case of $F_n=O$, but it is very large in the case of $F_n=0.2$. It is considered that the trend stems from the ignorance of the three dimensional effect and the other effects due to shallowness of water on the hydrodynamic coefficients in the theoretical calculation. An extension of methods for calculating the two dimensional hydrodynamic forces to included the effect of forward speed should be recommended. It is required that more experimental works in finite water depths will be carried out for correlation studies between the theoretical calculation, according tp modified strip theory, and model experiments.
The mechanical properties of polymeric composites are degraded under elevated temperatures due to the effect of temperature on the mechanical behavior of the resin and resin fiber interfaces. In this study, the effect of temperature on the impact response of the carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) was investigated at low-velocity impact (LVI) using a drop-weight impact tester machine. All the composite plates were fabricated using a vacuum infusion process with a stacking sequence of [45/0_2/-45/90_2]s, and a thickness of 2.9 mm. A group of the specimens was exposed to an environment with a temperature cycling at the range of -30 ℃ to 65 ℃. In addition, three other groups of the specimens were aged at ambient (28 ℃), -30 ℃, and 65 ℃ for ten days. Then all the conditioned specimens were subjected to LVI at three energy levels of 10, 15, and 20 J. To assess the behavior of the damaged composite plates, the force-time, force-displacement, and energy-time diagrams were analyzed at all temperatures. Finally, radiography, optical microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to evaluate the effect of the temperature and damages at various impact levels. Based on the results, different energy levels have a similar effect on the LVI behavior of the samples at various temperatures. Delamination, matrix cracking, and fiber failure were the main damage modes. Compared to the samples tested at room temperature, the reduction of temperature to -30 ℃ enhanced the maximum impact force and flexural stiffness while decreasing the absorbed energy and the failure surface area. The temperature increasing to 65 ℃ increased the maximum impact force and flexural stiffness while decreasing the absorbed energy and the failure surface area. Applying 200 thermal cycles at the range of -30 ℃ to 65 ℃ led to the formation of fine cracks in the matrix while decreasing the absorbed energy. The maximum contact force is recorded under cyclic temperature as 5.95, 6.51 and 7.14 kN, under impact energy of 10, 15 and 20 J, respectively. As well as, the minimum contact force belongs to the room temperature condition and is reported as 3.93, 4.94 and 5.71 kN, under impact energy of 10, 15 and 20 J, respectively.
