Aiming at the high complexity of traditional single-channel demodulation algorithm for PCMA signals, a new demodulation algorithm based on neural network is proposed to reduce the complexity of demodulation in the system of non-cooperative PCMA communication. The demodulation network is trained in this paper, which combines the preprocessing module and decision module. Firstly, the preprocessing module is used to estimate the initial parameters, and the auxiliary signals are obtained by using the information of frequency offset estimation. Then, the time-frequency characteristic data of auxiliary signals are obtained, which is taken as the input data of the neural network to be trained. Finally, the decision module is used to output the demodulated bit sequence. Compared with traditional single-channel demodulation algorithms, the proposed algorithm does not need to go through all the possible values of transmit symbol pairs, which greatly reduces the complexity of demodulation. The simulation results show that the trained neural network can greatly extract the time-frequency characteristics of PCMA signals. The performance of the proposed algorithm is similar to that of PSP algorithm, but the complexity of demodulation can be greatly reduced through the proposed algorithm.

In this paper, we propose a destination optimal route algorithm for providing route finding service for the transportation handicapped by using the multi-criteria decision-making technique and the modified A-STAR optimal route search algorithm. This is a method to set the route to the destination centering on safety by replacing the distance cost of the existing A-STAR optimal route search algorithm with the safety cost calculated through AHP/TOPSIS analysis. To this end, 10 factors such as road damage, curb, and road hole were first classified as poor road factors that hinder road driving, and then pairwise comparison of AHP was analyzed and then defined as the weight of TOPSIS. Afterwards, the degree of driving safety was quantified for a certain road section in Busan through TOPSIS analysis, and the development of an optimal route search algorithm for the transportation handicapped that replaces the distance cost with safety in the finally modified A-STAR optimal route algorithm was completed.

In this paper, we propose a dual-mode blind equalization algorithm that two of the blind equalization algorithm using the size of the decision-directed error signal is automatically switched. The proposed algorithm has a faster convergence speed due to operation of the MSAGF-SMMA with large fixed step-size mainly in the initial equalization. After the equalization has been made to some extent, the proposed algorithm has a smaller residual error in the steady- state by operation of the MSAGF-SMMA with a variable step-size mainly. The variable step-size is determined by multiplying the size of the decision-directed error signal of a fixed step-size. In this paper, we analyze the performance of the proposed algorithm. The computer simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has a significantly improved performance in terms of a residual inter-symbol interference and residual error in the steady-state compared with the MMA, SMMA, and MSAGF-SMMA.

Among the information technology and automation that have rapidly developed in the manufacturing industries recently, tens of thousands of quality variables are estimated and categorized in database every day. The former existing statistical methods, or variable selection and interpretation by experts, place limits on proper judgment. Accordingly, various data mining methods, including decision tree analysis, have been developed in recent years. Cart and C5.0 are representative algorithms for decision tree analysis, but these algorithms have limits in defining the tolerance of continuous explanatory variables. Also, target variables are restricted by the information that indicates only the quality of the products like the rate of defective products. Therefore it is essential to develop an algorithm that improves upon Cart and C5.0 and allows access to new quality information such as loss cost. In this study, a new algorithm was developed not only to find the major variables which minimize the target variable, loss cost, but also to overcome the limits of Cart and C5.0. The new algorithm is one that defines tolerance of variables systematically by adopting 3 categories of the continuous explanatory variables. The characteristics of larger-the-better was presumed in the environment of programming R to compare the performance among the new algorithm and existing ones, and 10 simulations were performed with 1,000 data sets for each variable. The performance of the new algorithm was verified through a mean test of loss cost. As a result of the verification show, the new algorithm found that the tolerance of continuous explanatory variables lowered loss cost more than existing ones in the larger is better characteristics. In a conclusion, the new algorithm could be used to find the tolerance of continuous explanatory variables to minimize the loss in the process taking into account the loss cost of the products.
In the present manufacturing environment, the appropriate decision making strategy has a significance and it should count on the fast-changing demand of customers. This research derives the optimal levels of the decision variables affecting the inventory related performance in multi-stage supply chain by using simulation and genetic algorithm. Simulation model helps analyze the customer service level of the supply chain computationally and the genetic algorithm searches the optimal solutions by interaction with the simulation model. Our experiments show that the integration approach of the genetic algorithm with a simulation model is effective in finding the solutions that achieve predefined target service levels.

The dicing process cuts a semiconductor wafer to lengthwise and crosswise direction by using a rotating circular diamond blade. But inferior goods are made under the influence of several parameters in dicing such as blade, wafer, cutting water and cutting conditions. This paper describes a monitoring algorithm using neural network in order to find out an instant of vibration signal change when bad dicing appears. The algorithm is composed of two steps: feature extraction and decision. In the feature extraction, five features processed from vibration signal which is acquired by accelerometer attached on blade head are proposed. In the decision, back-propagation neural network is adopted to classify the dicing process into normal and abnormal dicing, and normal and damaged blade. Experiments have been performed for GaAs semiconductor wafer in the case of normal/abnormal dicing and normal/damaged blade. Based upon observation of the experimental results, the proposed scheme shown has a good accuracy of classification performance by which the inferior goods decreased from 35.2% to 6.5%.
This paper describes a software algorithm for automatic diagnosis of arrhythmia using the criteria of Minnesota code manual. This algorithm represents more accurate and more objective information to medical doctor by standardizing the criteria of diagnosis of arrhythmia. Because this algorithm doesn't need complicated mathematic processing, it carries out the real-time automatic diagnosis that is very important in clinic. The Decision-Table technology suggests the proper results for the given conditions. So it expresses the complicated medical problems simply and clearly, those are not solved by the mathematical methods. The Decision-Tables have very simple structure and so it is very easy to correct or expand the system by adding or correcting some rules.

In this paper, we used a laser range finder (LRF) to detect both the static and dynamic obstacles for the safe navigation of a mobile robot. LRF sensor measurements containing the information of obstacle's geometry are first processed to extract the characteristic points of the obstacle in the sensor field of view. Then the dynamic states of the characteristic points are approximated using kinematic model, which are tracked by associating the measurements with Probability Data Association Filter. Finally, the collision avoidance algorithm is developed by using fuzzy decision making algorithm depending on the states of the obstacles tracked by the proposed obstacle tracking algorithm. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated through experiments with the experimental mobile robot.

With the advent of big data, data mining is more increasingly utilized in various decision-making fields by extracting hidden and meaningful information from large amounts of data. Even as exponential increase of the request of unrevealing the hidden meaning behind data, it becomes more and more important to decide to select which data mining algorithm and how to use it. There are several mainly used data mining algorithms in biology and clinics highlighted; Logistic regression, Neural networks, Supportvector machine, and variety of statistical techniques. In this paper it is attempted to compare the classification performance of an exemplary algorithm J48 and REPTree of ML algorithms. It is confirmed that more accurate classification algorithm is provided by the performance comparison results. More accurate prediction is possible with the algorithm for the goal of experiment. Based on this, it is expected to be relatively difficult visually detailed classification and distinction.

To keep simplicity that needs for GFR service and improve fairness of FIFO based buffer management algorithm, we propose a new LBO threshold decision mechanism. Proposed mechanism uses dynamic threshold that are adjusted according to the sum of active VC's weight. We reformed DT-DFBA(Differential Threshold-Differential Fair Buffer Allocation) algorithm using proposed LBO threshold decision mechanism with existing DFBA algorithm.
