Decentralized Control with Input Compensation Form for Gantry Crane Systems (갠트리 크레인의 입력 보상형 분산제어)

  • In this paper, we deals with a decentralized control scheme with input compensation form for gantry crane systems. By considering the gantry crane's characteristics, the system is decentralized into two subsystems such as the travelling and sway subsystem, and the hoisting subsystem. For decentralizing the system, a simple algorithm is proposed using observability canonical form. The decentralized subsystems include unknown input which coupled with other subsystems and actuator failures. These unknown input and actuator failures are estimated by using PI observation techniques and those estimated values are used to construct an input compensation form. Lastly, the proposed decentralized control scheme far the gantry crane systems is verified by crane simulation.

  • Maintenance and improvement of the graph connectivity is very important for decentralized multi-agent systems. Although the CBBA (Consensus-Based Bundle Algorithm) guarantees suboptimal performance and bounded convergence time, it is only valid for connected graphs. In this study, we apply a decentralized estimation procedure that allows each agent to track the algebraic connectivity of a time-varying graph. Based on this estimation, we design a decentralized gradient controller to maintain the graph connectivity while agents are traveling to perform assigned tasks. Simulation result for fully-actuated first-order agents that move in a 2-D plane are presented.

  • Through the coronavirus pandemic, research on the use and advancement of blockchain-based decentralized identity authentication (Decentralized ID) technology is being actively conducted in various fields, centered on the central government, local governments, and private businesses. In this paper, we introduce the results of development based on Hyperledger Fabric to change the existing central server-based identity authentication to a decentralized one. These development results can strengthen the security and transparency of identity authentication systems for commercial purposes and provide stable services for user ID issuance, inquiry, and disposal. In addition, the decentralized identity authentication system verified performance results of DID creation of 262,000 rps and DID inquiry of 1,850 rps, DID VP creation of 200 rps, and DID VP inquiry of 220 rps or less through public authentication.

Simplifying method is suggested for the general plant with the decentralized controller structure.   • Robot manipulator has highly nonlinear dynamics. Therefore the control of multi-link robot arms is a challenging and difficult problem. In this paper a decentralized adaptive fuzzy sliding mode scheme is developed for control of robot manipulators. The proposed scheme does not require an accurate manipulator dynamic model, yet it guarantees asymptotic trajectory tracking despite gross robot parameter variations. Numerical simulation for decentralized control of a 3-axis PUMA arm will also be included.

  • Attitude Control System for a Hydrofoil type catamaran in wave is designed using a Decentralized Adaptive Control technique which is announced already by authors. This automatic attitude control system is designed for its good seaworthiness and for robustness on the variation of center of gravity. The performance is compared with a PID controller and the results show that the Decentralized Adaptive controller has better stability on the variation of the center of gravity.

  • This paper presents the development of a collocated capacitance sensor and its application to the decentralized PID controller design for 4-axis magnetic bearing system. The main feature of the sensor is that it is made of a compact printed circuit board (PCB) so that it can be built in to the actuator coil of the magnetic bearing unit. The signal processing unit has been also developed. Then, decentralized PED controller is designed using simplified rotor system model. Finally, the experimental results on the performance of the collocated sensor based decentralized PID controller for a magnetic bearing rotor system is presented.

  • We present new efficient interaction measures which can be used for control operability analysis and Control Structure selection in decentralized control systems. These measures can indicate not only the stability of decentralized control systems but also the true closed-loop Performance of the decentralized control structure. Relationships between published measures and proposed ones are clarified. Some important characteristics of these. measures are rigorously analyzed. The significance and the usefulness of the proposed method have been illustrated through examples found in the literature.
