The purpose of this study is to design internet CEDA (Cross Examination Debate Association) debating model for the internet-based learning. Comparing to open discussion model that is widely spreaded in regular classes, the CEDA model can enhance learner's thinking skills, logicality, analytic skills, and judgement ability. In the first study, 196 students were provided the specific CEDA model guideline and participated debate activities through the internet. The results of the students' debate were analyzed based on the evaluation criteria. The results showed that the students' evaluation scores were high overall. They favored the CEDA model over the open discussion model, and showed positive attitudes and perceptions on the CEDA internet debate activity. In the second study, another 200 students were participated in two different tutor supporting CEDA debating groups, one is advanced tutor strategy group and the other is general tutor strategy group. The results showed that the advanced tutor supporting group had significantly high scores on the cross examination and providing evidence on debating. This study finally suggests the CEDA internet model for general use. In conclusion, this study also suggests the next steps to elaborate the CEDA internet model not oかy for the university settings, but also for general school settings. The user manuals should be developed to assist instructors, students, and tutors to guide better debate activities through the internet CEDA class. Also further research should be conducted to provide various debate models and applications for the variety of learning environments, and so the schools to use the CEDA model more widely in the internet classes.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of small group discussion and debate emphasizing maker class on elementary school students's science learning motivation and scientific attitude. The conclusion of the study is as follows. First, it was shown that the small group discussion and debate emphasizing maker class had a statistically significant effect on elementary school students's science learning motivation. This is due to the fact that the small group discussion and debate emphasizing maker class stimulates students' interaction, which is why students are more interested in class while solving problems with their peers. Second, it was found that the small group discussion and debate emphasizing maker class had a statistically significant effect on the elementary school students' scientific attitude. This allows students to have enough opportunity to express their opinions through small group discussions and debate, and I think that because they listen to others' opinions when they make new things or make new plans, so they have been able to increase their scientific attitude continuously. Third, based on the analysis of the participant students' opinions on the small group discussion and debate emphasizing maker class, all the participants answered that they were interested in this kind of class and they want to participate in this kind of maker class again. Therefore, it is thought that the small group discussion and debate emphasizing maker class can play a big role in raising the elementary school students's science learning motivation and scientific attitude.

In this research, we propose an unsupervised debate indexing method using audio and visual information. The proposed method combines clustering results of speech by BIC and visual by distance function. The combination of audio-visual information reduces the problem of individual use of speech and visual information. Also, an effective content based analysis is possible. We have performed various experiments to evaluate the proposed method according to use of audio-visual information for five types of debate data. From experimental results, we found that the effect of audio-visual integration outperforms individual use of speech and visual information for debate indexing.

Kiho Academic in the late Joseon Korea, the negative effect of the Horak debate is amplified and the division within the academic is accelerated. However, the scholars of the Kiho Academic field put forth efforts to unify the academics with the same sense of responsibility to end the schism. Nevertheless, the scholars of the Kiho Academic have shown various differences in the process of accepting Neo-Confucianism, which creates new schools. Therefore, Kiho Academic in the late Joseon Korea coexisted with various schools with different academy positions. Some of the representative groups are Hwaseo, Nosa, Ganjae, Yeonjae, and Uuidang Schools. In addition, through the scholarly differentiation and the school division of the Kiho Academic, the debate on the mind that characterizes Neo-Confucianism of the late Joseon Korea has developed. However, there was a common value that everyone pursued in the middle of the debate: the construction of a moral ideal society, the ultimate goal of Neo-Confucianism. In conclusion, though the purpose they pursued was not fulfilled, it can be seen from the debate on the mind that they fiercely demanded that these requests were urgent in the late Joseon Korea This paper, therefore, the situation of the Kiho academic in the late of Joseon Korea, the problem consciousness of the scholars of the Kiho academic, and the issue and development of debate on the mind.
Objectives : The paper's objective is to study into the books dealing in the debate surrounding the existence, or nonexistence, of urinary bladder's upper gate and lower gate, a debate that ensured since the publication of Huangdineijing. Methods : Sikuquanshu and Zhongyishijia databases were searched to collect related materials, and these materials were reviewed to get an understanding of the historical development of the debate. Results : The upper gates of urinary bladder was first mentioned in Nanjing. Since then, Wanglu's Yijingsuhuiji asserted that the upper gate exists while the lower didn't, but many argued after the dawning of Ming Dynasty that the upper doesn't exist while the lower does. Additionally, some urged in relation to the assertion of the nonexistence of upper gate that water liquid pervades into the urinary bladder through sebaceous membrane or oil net. Conclusions : Behind the debate between the existence or nonexistence of the upper and lower gates in urinary bladder is the theory of qi transformation. Even the anatomical knowledge of urinary bladder was submitted as an evidence. In general, the debate developed depending on how the differences between Huangdineijing's osmotic opinion and Nanjing's existence of the upper gate were perceived.
