  • 본 논문에서는 데이터링크(Data Link)의 메시지 종류에 따른 다중 큐 처리와 종류를 고려하지 않은 단일 큐 처리의 효율적인 측면을 비교분석한다. 데이터링크는 작전에 필요한 자료의 실시간 및 근실시간 교환을 위해 사용되는 체계이다. 무인 공용 데이터링크나 전술 데이터링크는 데이터의 타입이 다양해졌고 데이터의 양이 크게 증가하였다. 이러한 이유로 다양한 데이터의 우선 순위에 따른 다중 큐 처리를 제안하여 데이터링크 개발의 방향을 제시한다.

  • A compact, light-weight, integrated flight control computer(IFCC) for small unmanned autonomous vehicles is developed. Its design objective is to produce an all in one avionics system which includes the navigation sensor, data link, attitude sensors and air data sensors. The initial phase of ground and flight tests are performed to verify the prototype IFCC, showing promising results. The high potential of its application is expected.

Implementation of CCSDS Telecommand Decryptor in Geostationary Communications Satellite (정지궤도 통신위성의 CCSDS 원격명령 암호복호기 구현)

  • In this paper, a CCSDS(Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems) telecommand(TC) decryptor for the security of geostationary communications satellite was implemented. For the confidentiality of CCSDS TC datalink security, Option-A which implements the security services below the transfer sublayer was selected. Also CFB(Cipher Feedback) operation mode of DES(Data Encryption Standard) was used for the encryption of 56-bit data bits in 64-bit codeblock. To verify Decryptor function, the DES CFB logic implemented on A54SX32 FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) was integrated with interface and control logics in a PCB(Printed Circuit Board). Using a function test PC, the encrypted codeblocks were generated, transferred into the decryptor, decrypted, and the decrypted codeblocks were transmitted to the function test PC, and then compared with the source codeblocks. Through LED(Light Emitting Diode) ON operation by driving the relay related to Op-code decoded and the comparison between the codeblock output waveforms measured and those simulated, the telecommand decryptor function was verified.

  • Various studies such as INS(: Inertial Navigation System) are conducting to estimate the position of UAV, because the GPS information of UAV is at risk like the GPS jamming. The position estimation using DoA and RTT are used to apply many radar systems, and that process can be applied in datalink of UAV. The general monopulse feed in UAV datalink is Multi-horn, because of the wide BW(: Band Width) and frequency range. And it needs wide SNR range of tracking because of the limited transmit power of airborne unit. The estimation error of position increase at low SNR, and the DoA is valid in only 3dB beam width but high SNR causes false of mainlobe detection because of large sidelobe. In this paper, We propose the method to achieve higher accuracy of DoA estimation on low SNR and review some idea that able to detect mainlobe.

  • The UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) system, including the drone of a variety of fields, which has become an issue and utilized in various fields, has begun to develop in military fields and is actively developed in the commercial field. In various types of UAV systems, which have been developed recently, the communication system that is responsible for the connection between the ground control unit and the UAVs is called the data link. Especially, common data link used in military UAVs is required stability of communication to transmit surveillance and reconnaissance intelligence information and UAV's status. In this paper, the requirement for a modem was defined to secure the communication stability of the common data link used in surveillance UAVs. And, the design of the data link modem to satisfy applicable specifications was proposed. The proposed modem design was verified through the performance measurement of the implemented systems.

Research on Antennas Placement of Line-of-sight Datalink for Transport Drone (수송드론 가시선 데이터링크 안테나 배치 방안 연구)

  • The antenna radiation pattern was simulated by arranging the mounted antennae of the transport drone in 5 locations where radio interference was expected to be low, and they could be mounted. Depending on the mounting location, the probability that the link margin was less than 0 dB was (5.41 - 26.92) %. When two antennae were mounted and one was selected, the probability was (0.11 - 3.3) %. Among the arrangements, placing one antenna in the upper part of the front and one in the lower part of the rear showed the lowest link fail probability. In this case, it was analyzed that if the attitude roll and pitch of the aircraft were limited, link fail would not occur at an operating distance of 12 km or less. An antenna selection formula for this case was derived, and a method of reducing frequent alternation of antennae was applied to maintain a stable link.

  • In this paper, we proposed small scale real-time operating system for embedded system. Real-time system is characterized by the severe consequences that result if logical as well as timing correctness properties of system are not met. On real-time system, real-time operating system allows real-time applications to be designed and expanded easily. Functions can be added without requiring major changes to the software. We design small scale real-time operating system for preemptive kernel, and design kernel component such as multitasking, scheduler, task priority, semaphore, inter-task communication, clock tick timer, ISR(Interrupt Service Routine) mechanism has low interrupt latency.

  • This paper summarizes the HVO concept and procedures, presents a summary of the research and results, and outlines areas where future HVO is required. This concept enables people to get their destinations through shortest paths with advanced air traffic control system and equipments. The concept's key feature is that pilots maintain their own separation from other aircraft using air-to-air datalink and on-board software which are needed for supporting flight information present on the high Way in the sky display and airborne internet. By assigning Self-Controlled Area which assume pilot have separation responsibility, controllers evaluated SATS HVO concept as a successful method on the view of reduced workload and increased traffic level on high volume operation.

QoE-Aware Mobility Management Scheme

  • In this paper, we introduce a quality of experience (QoE)-provisioning mobility management scheme. The emphasis is on a mobility-aware QoE solution enabling network components to recognize the mobility pattern of an end-user and to prepare a handover in advance. We further focus on an energy-adaptive QoE solution based on the energy profile providing the preferred pattern of energy consumption and an energy preference check engine determining whether the provision of the service that the end-user requested is suitable to QoE or not. Lastly, we concentrate on a network-based intelligent mobility management scheme adopting the calm service and the balance. Consequently, we conclude that the proposed schemes improve the handover latency, QoE metrics, and energy efficiency simultaneously.

  • 한국형 에너지 관리 시스템 (이하 K-EMS)의 운영에 있어 현장 데이터 취득은 EMS의 기본 기능이라 할 수 있는 SCADA의 중요 요소이다. 특히 단일 통신 회선으로 구성된 K-EMS의 구조적 특성으로 인해 RTU 통신 회선의 단절은 주요 EMS Application의 운영에 영향을 미칠 수 있으므로, 예비회선 역할을 할 수 있는 데이터 Path를 확보하는 것은 이중화된 통신 회선을 갖는 것과 동일한 효과를 가질 수 있다. 이에 센터 간(Local, Remote1 and Remote2) FEP(Front End Processor)를 통해 RTU 데이터를 교환하는 데이터링크 시스템을 개발하였다.
