건축물 CO2 배출량 평가를 위한 BIM Template DB 구축에 관한 연구 (Template database development for evaluation of CO2 emissions from building using BIM)

  • With the rise of BIM application and green building assessment, studies on assessment of CO2 emissions from buildings using BIM are needed. In accordance with the requirements, this study aims at developing BIM Template database, as a part of development of CO2 assessment technology using BIM. Based on the research of construction materials, this study develops database by applying Procurement Agency Item Code to BIM Template. The results of this research makes it possible to assess CO2 emissions of materials with BIM Template and building data modeling implementation.

  • 분산객체 기술을 이용한 분산데이터베이스 시스템 개발은 현재의 컴퓨팅 환경을 그대로 사용하면서 적은 비용으로 시스템을 개발할 수 있기 때문에 많이 사용되고 있다. 따라서 현재 학교에서 운용중인 독립형 데이터베이스 시스템을 통합하는 분산데이터베이스 시스템을 개발하면 교사와 교육 공무원 모두에게 쉽게 자료를 통합하고 관리할 수 있는 시스템이 될 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 CORBA, Java, JDBC를 이용하여 3-Tier 분산 데이터베이스 관리 시스템의 프로토타입을 설계하고 구현하고자 한다.

  • With the recent trend to get more into the information age we suppose that the need of information for medical industry policy establishment and new product development of medical instrument will increase rapidly. The object of this research & development is the construction of a database system with information resources in the field of medical instrument for an efficient application of domestic and abroad information in the field of medical instrument and building the foundation for the construction of an unified information management system. In this research we finished the analysis of the collected material of informations for medical instrument industry, design of the database system with object-oriented modelling is done. and we developed pre-product level information management system running on WINDOWS.

  • Research materials of Korean traditional shoes have so far been mainly literary explanations or plane pictures expressed on the basis of the explanations and photographs of incomplete forms of relics excavated and it makes us have difficulty in observing them visually and producing products with them by design application. This project is to establish database of literal data of Korean traditional shoes and visual data using 3D in order to make the foundation of developing culture industry contents using Korean traditional shoes. According to the initial research plan. first. it analyzed and arranged the Korean traditional shoes into period. sex and function as the research goals of the first year. categorized the form. composition. materials. patterns. and colors of traditional shoes and then database of the materials was performed with text. Second. visual image materials including forms. composition. materials. patterns. and colors of traditional shoes were established as database with scanner. digital camera and computer 2D. Results of such a database will be able to be used as important materials which can be the foundation of culture industry contents development of traditional shoes and be the materials for developing digital culture contents of traditional shoes and teaching Korean traditional culture.

  • 클라이언트/서버 응용은 크게 데이타베이스 서버와 응용 및 프리젠테이션 로직을 포함한 클라이언트로 구성된다. 이러한 클라이언트/서버 응용은 최근의 웹의 성장과 함께 자바 언어를 많이 이용하는데 특히 클라이언트 쪽의 GUI 구현과 JDBC를 이용한 클라이언트/서버 응용에 많이 쓰인다. JDBC를 이용하여 클라이언트/서버 응용을 개발할 경우 먼저 응용의 바탕이 되는 데이타베이스의 설계, JDBC 접속을 위한 코딩, 데이타베이스로부터 선택된 데이타들을 보여주기 위한 리포트 양식 등의 설계가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 JDBC를 이용한 클라이언트/서버 응용 개발에 필요한 컴포넌트들을 자바빈즈로설계 및 구현하고 이를 이용한 개발 환경을 제시한다. 구현된 환경을 이용하면 클라이언트/서버 응용의 개발에 있어서 소스 코드 편집을 최소화하고 자바빈즈 컴포넌트들의 선택 및 이들의 속성 편집만으로 쉽게 구현할 수 있다.

Genomic and Proteomic Databases: Foundations, Current Status and Future Applications

  • In this paper we have provided an extensive survey of the databases and other resources related to the current research in bioinformatics and the issues that confront the database researcher in helping the biologists. Initially we give an overview of the concepts and principles that are fundamental in understanding the basis of the data that has been captured in these databases. We briefly trace the evolution of biological advances and point out the importance of capturing data about genes, the fundamental building blocks that encode the characteristics of life and proteins that are the essential ingredients for sustaining life. The study of genes and proteins is becoming extremely important and is being known as genomics and proteomics, respectively. Whereas there are numerous databases related to various subfields of biology, we have maintained a focus on genomic and proteomic databases which are the crucial stepping stones for other fields and are expected to play an important role in the future applications of biology and medicine. A detailed listing of these databases with information about their sizes, formats and current status is presented. Related databases like molecular pathways and interconnection network databases are mentioned, but their full coverage would be beyond the scope of a single paper. We comment on the peculiar nature of the data in biology that presents special problems in organizing and accessing these databases. We also discuss the capabilities needed for database development and information management in the bioinformatics arena with particular attention to ontology development. Two research case studies based on our own research are summarized dealing with the development of a new genome database called Mitomap and the creation of a framework for discovery of relationships among genes from the biomedical literature. The paper concludes with an overview of the applications that will be driven from these databases in medicine and healthcare. A glossary of important terms is provided at the end of the paper.

SQL을 이용한 메모리 데이터 조작 (Manipulation of Memory Data Using SQL)

  • 데이터베이스 응용 프로그램 개발에서 데이터는 메모리 공간과 디스크 공간에 공존한다. 메모리 공간의 데이터를 조작하기 위하여 일반 프로그래밍 언어를 사용하고 디스크 공간의 데이터 조작을 위하여 SQL을 사용한다. 특히 메모리 데이터를 조작하기 위해 사용되는 절차적 언어는 SQL등의 선언적 언어보다 작성 및 유지보수가 어렵다. 이에 본 논문은 특수한 형태 즉, 트리 구조의 메모리 데이터는 선언적 언어인 SQL로 조작이 가능함을 보인다. 특히 UI (user interface)의 모델 데이터는 트리 구조로 표현 될 수 있기 때문에 예외적인 계산을 제외하고는 대부분의 메모리 데이터 조작은 SQL로 가능하다. 예외적인 계산은 도움 클래스 (helper class)로 처리하면 된다. 본 논문이 제시하는 SQL 메모리 데이터 조작은 예외적인 계산이 적은 데이터베이스 응용 프로그램 개발에 특히 적합하다.

콘크리트 궤도의 시공 및 유지관리를 위한 침하관리 통합 시스템의 구축 및 활용 (Development and Application of Integrated Settlement Management System for Construction and Maintenance of Concrete Railway)

  • In construction of high speed railway, the fan shape is limited to achieve reduction of required travel time and concrete railway which has structural stability and induces small maintenance cost with allowable ground settlement is recently applied. So construction of concrete railway on soft ground in which considerable ground settlement occurs increases and settlement management in soft ground section is required. Field monitoring on ground movement and integrated geotechnical information system which manages construction, design, and field monitoring data are essential for settlement management of concrete railway subgrade. Site investigation data are also required due to future repair work. Therefore in this study, integrated geotechnical information system for construction and maintenance of concrete railway is developed. The developed system consists of a database and an application program. The database contains site investigation, construction, design, and field monitoring data throughout a railway. Application program performs various functions on managing and utilizing information in the database with graphic visualization of output. And by providing integrating information with comprehensible visual displays, the applicability and effectiveness of the developed system for construction and maintenance management were confirmed.

Development of Performance Evaluation Metrics of Concurrency Control in Object-Oriented Database Systems

  • Object-oriented databases (OODBs) canbe used for many non-traditional database application areas such as computer-aided design, etc. Usually those application areas require advanced modeling power for expressing complicated relationships among data sets. OODBs have more distinguished features than the traditional relational database systems. One of the distinguished characteristics of OODBs is class hierarchy (also called inheritance hierarchy). A class hierarchy in an OODB means that a class can hand down the definitions of the class to the subclass of the class. In other words, a class is allowed to inherit the definitions of the class from the superclass. In this paper, we present performance evaluation metrics for class hierarchy in OODBs from a concurrency control perspective. The proposed performance metrics are developed to determine which concurrency control scheme in OODBs can be used for a given class hierarchy. In this study, in order to develop performance metrics, we use class hierarchy structure (both of single inheritance and multiple inheritance), and data access frequency for each class. The proposed performance metrics will be also used to compare performance evaluation for various concurrency control techniques.

  • The main objective of this research is to develop an experimental educational facility management information system that will be used for maintaining existing educational facilities in the elementary, junior high, and high schools. The development is based on the nationwide development plan of the education administration information system. The system developed is accomplished by use of Map-application Information System(MAPIS), an applied commercial software that combines Geographic Information System(GIS) with existing Information and Communication Technologies(ICT) such as Database system, Multimedia methodology, and Internet system. In order to figure out the features to be improved in the system developed, the research interviewed the educational facilities management in the Ministry of Education and P Local Education Authority. The authors suggest the functional improvement of the system based on the interview results.
