Three-dimensional forging analysis becomes an inevitable tool to make design process more reliable and more producible. In this study, in order to make the investigation for three-dimensional forging analysis more conveniently and accurately, a new post processor was developed. For post-processing of multi-stage forging simulation, efficient data structure was proposed and applied by using STL. New file architecture was developed to handle successive and huge data efficiently, common in three-dimensional forging analysis. Since sectioning and flow tracing plays an important role in the investigation of analysis result, we developed an algorithm suitable for 4-node and 10-node tetrahedron. This flow tracing algorithm can trace and reverse-trace flow through remeshing. Developed program shows good performance and functionality. Especially, a big size problem can be handled easily due to proposed data structure and file architecture.

Software Defined Network (SDN) separates control plane and data plane to achieve benefits such as centralized management, centralized provisioning, lower device cost and more flexibility. In SDN, scalability is an important issue. Centralized controller can be a bottle neck and many research tried to solve this issue on the control plan. However, scalability issue does not only happen in the control plane, but also happen in the data plane. In the data plane, flow table is an important component and its size is limited. In a large network operated by SDN technology, the performance of the network can be highly degraded because of the size limitation of a flow table. In this paper, we propose a ranking-based flow replacement method, Flow Table Management (FTM), to overcome this problem.

A new two-phase non-boiling convective heat transfer correlation for turbulent flow $(Re_{SL}>4000)$ in vertical tubes with different fluid flow patterns and fluid combinations was developed using experimental data available from the literature. The correlation presented herein originates from a careful analysis of the major non-dimensional parameters affecting two-phase heat transfer. This model takes into account the appropriate contributions of both the liquid and gas phases using the respective cross-sectional areas occupied by the two phases. A total of 255 data points from three available studies (which included the four sets of data) were used to determine the curve-fitted constants in the improved correlation. The performance of the new correlation was compared with two-phase correlations from the literature, which were developed for specific fluid combinations.

The wavelike flow mark phenomenon is one of the surface defects that can arise during the injection stage of the injection molding process. We have performed a numerical analysis using a finite element method for the injection molding to verify the validity of “Go-over” hypothesis. Also, we have compared the results of numerical analysis with available experimental data. Numerical analysis results of the flow marks are qualitatively in good agreement with experimental data of reference, but are quantitatively deviated from experimental data in a consistent manner. A parametric study has been performed to examine the correlative effects of various injection molding processing parameters and material properties on the flow mark size.
This paper presents development of an appropriate procedure and flow chart to analyze shale gas production data obtained from a multi-fractured horizontal well according to flow characteristics in order to calculate an estimated ultimate recovery. Also, the technical considerations were proposed when a rate transient analysis was performed with field production data occurred to only $1^{st}$ transient flow. If production data show the $1^{st}$ transient flow from log-log and square root time plot analysis, production forecasting must be performed by applying different method as before and after of the end of $1^{st}$ linear flow. It is estimated by an area of stimulated reservoir volume which can be calculated from analysis results of micro-seismic data. If there are no bottomhole pressure data or micro-seismic data, an empirical decline curve method can be used to forecast production performance. If production period is relatively short, an accuracy of production data analysis could be improved by analyzing except the early production data, if it is necessary, after evaluating appropriation with near well data. Also, because over- or under-estimation for stimulated reservoir volume could take place according to analysis method or analyzer's own mind, it is necessary to recalculate it with fracture modeling, reservoir simulation and rate transient analysis, if it is necessary, after adequacy evaluation for fracture stage, injection volume of fracture fluid and productivity of producers.

This paper deals with Load Flow Program for client/server system. Clients play roles of input and output of the data. The client upload input-data file to the server which takes the part of the function of solving the Load Flow. The developed LF COM(Component Object Model) carry out solving the Load Flow and saving the result and the input data to DataBase. It proved the developed System to be compatible through the Case Study.
An asynchronous optical packet-switching (AOPS) node with load-balancing capability can achieve better performance in reducing the high packet-loss ratio (PLR) and time delay caused by unbalanced traffic. This paper proposes a novel dynamic load-balancing algorithm for an AOPS node with limited buffer and without wavelength converters, and considering the data flow distribution and service levels. By calculating the occupancy state of the output ports, load state of the input ports, and priorities for data flow, the traffic is balanced accordingly. Simulations demonstrate that asynchronous variant data packets and output traffic can be automatically balanced according to service levels and the data flow distribution. A PLR of less than 0.01% can be achieved, as well as an average time delay of less than 0.46 ns.
Urine analysis is one of the most important medical examination in the hospital. Not only the data for the ingredients of urine through chemical analysis, but also the data related to fluid dynamics, e.g., peak flow rate, average flow rate, may provide some useful information about patient's state of health. Therefore, we develop the portable system to measure and analyse fluid volume/flow rate in this study. This system can store and print the measured data during the pre-specified time interval, and provide some meaningful data related with fluid dynamics. We explain the method and the technical stuff to implement the system, and show the result.

This study conducted an evaluation of the extent of debris flow damage using SINMAP, which is slope stability analysis software based on the infinite slope stability method, and FLO-2D, a hydraulic debris flow analysis program. Mt. Majeok located in Chuncheon city in the Gangwon province was selected as the study area to compare the study results with an actual 2011 case. The stability of the slope was evaluated using a DEM of $1{\times}1m$ resolution based on the LiDAR survey method, and the initiation points of the debris flow were estimated by analyzing the overlaps with the drainage network, based on watershed analysis. In addition, the study used measured data from the actual case in the simulation instead of existing empirical equations to obtain simulation results with high reliability. The simulation results for the impact of the debris flow showed a 2.2-29.6% difference from the measured data. The results suggest that the extent of damage can be effectively estimated if the parameter setting for the models and the debris flow initiation point estimation are based on measured data. It is expected that the evaluation method of this study can be used in the future as a useful hazard mapping technique among GIS-based risk mapping techniques.

In this study, the pressure drop behavior of single- and two-phase flows of air and water through the porous beds filled with uniform and non-uniform sized spherical particles was examined. The pressure drop data in the single-phase flow experiments for the uniform particle beds agreed well with the original Ergun correlation. The results from the two-phase flow experiments were analyzed using numerical results based on three types of previous models. In the experiments for the uniform particle beds, the data on the two-phase pressure drop clearly showed the effect of the flow regime transition with a variation in the gas flow rate under stagnant liquid condition. The numerical analyses indicated that the predictability of the previous models for the experimental data relied mainly on the sub-models of the flow regime transitions and interfacial drag. In the experiments for the non-uniform particle beds, the two-phase pressure loss could be predicted well with numerical calculations based on the effective particle diameter. However, the previous models failed to accurately predict the counter-current flooding limit observed in the experiments. Finally, we propose a relation of falling liquid velocity into the particle bed by gravity to appropriately simulate the CCFL phenomenon.
