실제 통행기록 자료를 활용한 고속도로 Corridor 시간대별 O-D 구축 (Construction Method of Time-dependent Origin-Destination Traffic Flow for Expressway Corridor Using Individual Real Trip Data)

  • 시간개념을 고려한 교통 분석은 교통류의 이동을 고려함으로써 보다 현실적인 분석 결과를 가져올 수 있다. 본 논문은 실제 개인의 통행기록 자료를 활용하여 고속도로 Corridor를 대상으로 한 시간대별 기종점 통행량 구축 방법론을 개발하였다. 실제 개별 통행기록 자료인 고속도로 TCS 자료를 활용하여 전국 고속도로망을 대상으로 시간대별 O-D를 구축하였으며, 도심지역 분석에 활용도를 높이기 위해 구축된 시간대별 O-D를 Sub-corridor 시간대별 O-D로 전환하기 위한 방법론을 개발하였다. 본 연구는 실제 통행 자료를 활용한 기종점 통행량 구축이라는 점에서 의미를 가지며, 향후 고속도로 이외의 도로를 포함한 동적 기종점 통행량 구축에 관한 연구 및 기존의 통계적 추정을 이용한 O-D 구축방법과의 연계를 통해 교통분석의 주요 입력 자료인 동적 기종점 통행량의 구축이 가능할 것으로 기대한다.

  • KARI is developing Image Data Acquisition and Control System (IDACS) for pre-processing meteorological and ocean data acquired on geostationary orbit. This paper describes the functions and architecture of IDACS and gives its operation policy including backup operation to overcome limitation of single-configured antenna system. The COMS IDACS provides the capability to receive the raw sensor data and disseminate processed MI data to users via a satellite. From the processed image data, users can produce a set of meteorological and ocean products for a wide range of applications. Most of IDACS subsystems are being developed by Korean technologies and experience acquired from previous projects. In case of COMS geometric correction software module, as it is closely dependent on the characteristics of imagers and spacecraft bus system, it is being co-developed with overseas prime contractor who develops spacecraft bus system.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a knowledge-based real-time decision support system to support decision makers for efficient berth operation of Inchon Port. In these days, the efficient berth operation has been many studied. The berth operation rules differ from port to port and the problem is highly dependent on natural, geographical and operational environment of port. In Inchon Port, the ship's entrance into port and departure from port is extremely affected by the status of dock and berth because of capacity restriction. First, we analyzed the specific characteristics of Inchon Port such as dock based on the data of 1997. And then, we construct the database of experts knowledge for berth utilization. Finally, we build the real-time decision support system for the efficient berth operation of Inchon Port to make the better berth allocation in case of not only regular scheduling but also dynamic scheduling such as delay in berth operation and exchange of ship between berths. The DSS is developed with graphic user interface(GUI) concept to help the user determining user interactive updating of the port status. Then this DSS will be provide decision maker with an efficient and fast way to berth allocation, and reduce wastes of time, space, and manpower in Inchon Port operation.

Stochastics and Artificial Intelligence-based Analytics of Wastewater Plant Operation

  • Tele-metering systems have been useful tools for managing domestic wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) over the last decade. They mostly generate water quality data for discharged water to ensure that it complies with mandatory regulations and they may be able to produce every operation parameter and additional measurements in the near future. A sub-big data group, comprised of about 150,000 data points from four domestic WWTPs, was ready to be classified and also analyzed to optimize the WWTP process. We used the Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) 25 package in order to statistically treat the data with linear regression and correlation analysis. The major independent variables for analysis were water temperature, sludge recycle rate, electricity used, and water quality of the influent while the dependent variables representing the water quality of the effluent included the total nitrogen, which is the most emphasized index for discharged flow in plants. The water temperature and consumed electricity showed a strong correlation with the total nitrogen but the other indices' mutual correlations with other variables were found to be fuzzy due to the large errors involved. In addition, a multilayer perceptron analysis method was applied to TMS data along with root mean square error (RMSE) analysis. This study showed that the RMSE in the SS, T-N, and TOC predictions were in the range of 10% to 20%.

인산제조공정의 모사연구 (An Intelligent Simulation of a Phosphoric Acid Plant)

  • For the identification of the optimal operating conditions of phosphoric acid plant, an intelligent simulation was performed based on the dissolution reaction of phosphate rock. A phosphoric acid plant consists of three main processes : ball-mill grinding process, rock reaction process and slurry filteration process. The grinding and filteration processes are relatively simple processes and most of the simulation works are on the reaction process. The practical operation data of phosphoric acid plant at Namhae Chemical Corp. were utilized in the simulation. The operation of the phosphoric acid plant is highly dependent on the heuristics of operators and so the expert system technology was employed. The operation of phosphoric acid plant varies with the origin of phosphate rock. Results of the simulation showed the optimal values of major process variables and optimal operating conditions. The knowledgebase for the expert system was constructed based on the interview with the experienced plant operators.

  • The bullet train runs more than 200km/h so that it is invisible to the naked eye. For this reason, KTX solely dependent on the ATC operation system. Above all things, 'stability' and 'regular time' are essential to Train Control Operation system. But intermittently, there is a signal transmission problem between ATC operation facilities and ground equipments. which is caused by wheel sliding and friction coefficient between wheel and rail when the train starts. This paper analyzed train service data for one year for accurate survey. In addition, this thesis examines the main cause of a signal transmission problem through simulation and experiment. Further, the method to solve the conventional problem is presented.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the diet quality of the menus delivered by 17 free meal service centers for the low-income home-bound elderly in Chung- cheong buk-Do. Statistical data analysis was compleleted using the SPSS package program for descriptive analysis, T-test, and ANOVA. The meals offered by free meal service centers were not met the 1/3 recommended dietary allowances in calcium and vitamin $B_2$. There were significant differences between dependent variables(nutrient content, nutrient density, nutrient deficiency, NAR, MAR, food group intake patterns) and independent variables (operation type, operation status, operation period, nutritionist, food cost).

In this paper we analyzed some effects of dock a specific character of Inchon Port with a real data of ship’s in Inchon Port. And reconstruct a previous expert’s knowledge of berth allocating problem in Inchon Port. Also the mechanism for the efficient berth operation has been studied by repeatedly dispatching in order to obtain a best effect of berth allocation, with real-time updated information for delay at service time of a specific berth and changing of a working-berth. The system is developed with graphic user interface(GUI) concept using user interactive approach. And this system will be provide decision support maker with an efficient and fast way to berth allocating and reduce wastes of time space and manpower in Inchon Port operation.

  • 본 논문에서는 삼차원 모델을 효율적으로 전송하기 위해, 삼차원 메쉬 모델을 계층적으로 표현하고 보는 사람의 시점에 따라 메쉬 모델의 해상도를 다르게 하여 전송하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 점진적 메쉬 전송과 순차적 메쉬 전송이 결합된 형태로 보는 사람의 현재 시점을 고려하여 삼차원 모델을 전송하는 것이다. 보는 사람의 시각 위치에 따라 전송할 때, 보이지 않는 부분보다 보이는 부분을 먼저 전송하여 제한된 전송대역 안에서 삼차원 모델의 품질을 최적화 할 수 있다. 먼저 주어진 삼차원 메쉬 모델을 계층적으로 메쉬 분할하고 최하위 레벨의 분할메쉬에 대해 다중계층을 구성한다. 메쉬분할을 위한 시작꼭지점은 K-means 알고리즘을 사용하여 선택하기 때문에, 메쉬분할 과정에서 균등한 분할메쉬를 얻을 수 있다. 보는 사람의 시점에 따라 최하위 레벨의 각 분할메쉬에 대해서 해상도를 계산한 후, 병합과 분리과정을 통해 삼차원 메쉬 모델을 전송한다. 분할메쉬 병합과정은 삼차원 메쉬의 정적시각 전송에 이용피고, 메쉬분할로 생기는 공통 경계 정보를 줄일 수 있다. 분할메쉬 분리과정은 삼차원 메쉬의 동적시각 전송에 이용되고, 보는 사람의 시점에 따라 새롭게 보이는 분할메쉬에 대해 추가적인 정보를 유동적으로 전송한다.

특수일 최대 전력 수요 예측을 위한 결정계수를 사용한 데이터 마이닝 (Data Mining Technique Using the Coefficient of Determination in Holiday Load Forecasting)

  • Short-term load forecasting (STLF) is an important task in power system planning and operation. Its accuracy affects the reliability and economic operation of power systems. STLF is to be classified into load forecasting for weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Due to the limited historical data available, it is more difficult to accurately forecast load for holidays than to forecast load for weekdays and weekends. It has been recognized that the forecasting errors for holidays are large compared with those for weekdays in Korea. This paper presents a polynomial regression with data mining technique to forecast load for holidays. In statistics, a polynomial is widely used in situations where the response is curvilinear, because even complex nonlinear relationships can be adequately modeled by polynomials over a reasonably small range of the dependent variables. In the paper, the coefficient of determination is proposed as a selection criterion for screening weekday data used in holiday load forecasting. A numerical example is presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed holiday load forecasting method.
