Recently the domestic technologies to manage forest and to control all related information were developed very rapidly by integrating FGIS (Forest Geographic Information System) and IT (Information technology). However, there still exists a mapping problem for example when overlaying a topography maps scaled in 1/5,000 to a forest type map scaled in 1/25.000. Moreover, there is a greater need to introduce the advanced spatial technologies such as high-resolution satellite image such as IKONOS and GIS to forest. In this study, 3D high-resolution forest mapping system was developed to possibly overlay with all kinds of scale maps and provide the all detailed information by using high-resolution satellite image and GIS. Through this system, all related forest officials could have and maintain the data consistency for their job and share the standard forest database with other post.
Digital environment that is represented to internet is displacing business way of industry and business achievement way with the fast speed being giving great change on life whole, improve existence business process utilizing internet and Web connection technology, information superhighway to tradition industrialist manufacture and e-transformation's propulsion that wish to maximize productivity and administration efficiency is spread vigorously. This study is a smart tourism research based on face recognition applied system that manages individual information of foreign tourists to smartphone. It is a way to authenticate by using face recognition, which is biometric information, as a technology applied to identification inquiry, immigration control, etc. and it is designed so that tourism companies can provide customized service to customers by applying algorism to smartphone. The smart tourism system based on face recognition is a system that prepares the reception service by sending the information to smartphone of tourist service company guide in real time after taking faces of foreign tourists who enter Korea for the first time with glasses attached to the camera. The smart tourism based on face recognition is personal information recognition technology, speech recognition technology, sensing technology, artificial intelligence personal information recognition technology, etc. Especially, artificial intelligence personal information recognition technology is a system that enables the tourism service company to implement the self-promotion function to commemorate the visit of foreign tourists and that enables tourists to participate in events and experience them directly. Since the application of smart tourism based on face recognition can utilize unique facial data and image features, it can be beneficially utilized for service companies that require accurate user authentication and service companies that prioritize security. However, in terms of sharing information by government organizations and private companies, preemptive measures such as the introduction of security systems should be taken.

An automatic titration was performed by a home-made automatic control system adopting a micro pH electrode as its sensing part in microdiffusion-based volatile basic nitrogen (VBN) analysis. The micro electrode was considered to be adequate for automatic VBN analysis because of its small sensor size, low immersion depth and unbreakable body. Six pork samples in different degree of freshness were analyzed both manually and automatically. The data from automatic titration were not significantly different from those taken by manual titration even at 15% significance level. The correlation coefficient was 1.000.

This research aims to develop an algorithm of optimal transducer placement using Kinetic Energy of the structural system. The structural vibration response-based health monitoring is considered one of the best for the system which requires a long-term, continuous monitoring. In its experimental modal testing, however, it is difficult to decide on the measurement locations and their number, especially for complex structures, which have a major influence on the quality of the results. In order to minimize the number of sensing operations and optimize the transducer location while maximizing the accuracy of results, this paper discusses about an optimum transducer placement criterion suitable for the identification of structural damage. As a criterion algorithm, it proposes the Kinetic Energy Optimization Technique (EOT), and then addresses the numerical issues which are subsequently applicable to actual experiment where a bridge model is used. By using the experimental data, it compares the EOT with the EIM (Effective Independence Method) which is generally used to optimize the transducer placement for the damage identification and control purposes. The comparison conclusively shows that the EOT algorithm proposed in this paper is preferable when a structure is to be instrumented with fewer sensors.

Reforming land is an important foundation for benefit of society as well as national development. A correct investigation and information acquirement as to land must go first to establish land management and plan. Land investigation by remote sensing is one of the most reasonable methods that doesn't need lots of time and manpower. In this study, Image classification on land use from Landsat data was carried out, which were respectively in 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995 and 2000, covering southern Han river and then land use changes were detected. In addition, an available information was reported, which could be used in the control of southern Han river. As a result, there is an obvious change in land use, especially the increase of water and decrease of forest and agriculture. Those are caused by the industrialization and the construction of dam.

The Real Time Kinematic (RTK) technique is the most productive and accurate GPS positioning method today, as it can be determinate position within few centimeters instantly. This method is widely used for applications such as surveying, structure monitoring and machine guidance etc. In order to perform RTK processing for large scale systems (i.e. precise vehicle monitoring with many rovers), many expensive RTK receivers and same number of bidirectional communication units have to be installed to collect observation data communicate with the reference site and monitor its RTK solutions. Moreover, if applications require remote control or apply sensing instruments, we have to install computers at each rover. To limit expense and complexity of system management with a large number of rovers, we have developed server based RTK processing platform to share RTK function for all rovers. The system can be process many GPS stations with a single personal computer. we have also developed a specialized dual frequency GPS receiver unit without on-board RTK processing capability to reduce receiver cost in order to demonstrate the advantage of our server based RTK platform. This paper describes the concept of our server based RTK platform and specialized GPS receiver unit with existing applications in Japan.
Radiofrequency(RF) signal is a key medium to the most of the present wireless communication devices including RF identification devices(RFID) and smart sensors. However, the most critical barrier to overcome in RFID application is in the failure rate in detection. The most notable improvement in the detection was from the introduction of EPC Class1 Gen2 protocol, but the fundamental problems in the physical properties of the RF signal drew less attention. In this work, we focused on the physical properties of the RF signal in order to understand the failure rate by noting the existence of the ground planes and noise sources in the real environment. By using the mathematical computation software, Maple, we simulated the distribution of the electromagnetic field from a dipole antenna when ground planes exist. Calculations showed that the dark area can be formed by interference. We also constructed a test system to measure the failure rate in the detection of a RFID transponder. The test system was composed of a fixed RFID reader and an EPC Class1 Gen2 transponder which was attached to a scanner to sweep in the x-y plane. Labview software was used to control the x-y scanner and to acquire data. Tests in the laboratory environment showed that the dark area can be as much as 43 %. One who wants to use RFID and smart sensors should carefully consider the extent of the dark area.
Probable Maximum Precipitation (PMP) is essential in the design of hydraulic structures such as dams, weirs and flood control structures. Up to the present, PMP has been derived from any proper single storm which can have a large error. PMP values should be evaluated from many historic heavy storm events from all over the country. Since this can be done at the spots of storm occurring and the calculated PMP from all spots in the country can be correlated. The objectives of this study are therefore to evaluate PMP from historic heavy storm data from 1972 to 2000 by using meteorological method, then to correlate and to present the results using GIS. The maximized rainfall depths can be calculate from depth of heavy rainfall and dew point temperature, and then can be analyzed for each rainfall duration to obtain spatial rainfall distribution by using GIS. The depth-area-duration relationship of maximized rainfall can be obtained and this helps to develop enveloped curves . The results from this study are a set of contour maps of PMP for each rainfall duration for all over the country and the depth-area-duration relationships for the area of 100 to 50,000 km.$^{2}$ at duration of 1, 2 and 3 days.
