The monetary model suggests that nominal exchange rates between two countries will be determined by important macroeconomic variables. The existence of a cointegrating relationship among these fundamental variables is the backbone of the monetary model. In a recent paper, Rapach and Wohar (2002, Journal of International Economics) advance the literature by testing for linear cointegration in the monetary model using a century of data to increase power. They find evidence of cointegration in five or six of ten countries. We extend their work to the nonlinear framework by performing threshold cointegration tests that allow for asymmetric adjustments in two regimes. Asymmetric adjustments in exchange rates can occur, for example, if transactions costs are present or if policy makers react asymmetrically to changing fundamentals. Moreover, whereas Rapach and Wohar (2002) found it necessary to exclude the relative output variable in some cases to maintain the validity of their cointegration tests, we can include this variable as a stationary covariate to increase power. Overall, using their same long-span data, we find more support for cointegration in a nonlinear framework.

The traditional key exchange protocols are transmitted by using the cryptographic. However, these protocols are compromised by the attacker. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a key exchange protocol based on the steganography with the QR code. The steganography technique embed secret information to the images, documents, videos, and MP3 files and transmit to the others. The attacker can't know that the transmission data is the secret data. Therefore, the sender transmits efficiently and safely the secret data to the others. In additional, the cover image is using the QR code image to insert the secret key. If attackers scan the QR code, then they just read the information or connect URL. They can not be recognized that the QR code image is hiding the secret key. The experiments compare the QR code image with the well-known image about the distortion and the safety.

The FX (Foreign Exchange) is a form of exchange for the global decentralized trading of international currencies. The simple sense of Forex is simultaneous purchase and sale of the currency or the exchange of one country's currency for other countries'. We can find the consistent rules of trading by comparing the gradient boosting method and the decision trees methods. Methods such as time series analysis used for the prediction of financial markets have advantage of the long-term forecasting model. On the other hand, it is difficult to reflect the rapidly changing price fluctuations in the short term. Therefore, in this study, gradient boosting method and decision tree method are applied to analyze the short-term data in order to make the rules for the revenue structure of the FX market and evaluated the stability and the prediction of the model.

This paper analyzes the causal relationship between dollar exchange rate and international oil price. Although large literature on the relationship has accumulated, results are not unique but diversified. Based on the idea that such diversified results may be due to different causality at different economic status, we considers an approach to test the causal relationship at each quantile. This approach is different from the mean causality analysis widely employed by the existing literature of the causal relationship. In this paper, monthly data from May 1987 to 2013 is used for the causal analysis in which Brent oil price and Major Currencies Dollar Index (MCDI) are considered. The test method is the nonparametric test for causality in quantile suggested by Jeong et al. (2012). The results show that although dollar exchange rate causes oil price in mean, the causal relationship does not exist at most quantiles.
Objectives: The demand for hospice has been increasing among patients with cancer. This study examined the current hospice referral scenario for terminally ill cancer patients and created a data form to collect hospice information and a modified health information exchange (HIE) form for a more efficient referral system for terminally ill cancer patients. Methods: Surveys were conducted asking detailed information such as medical instruments and patient admission policies of hospices, and interviews were held to examine the current referral flow and any additional requirements. A task force team was organized to analyze the results of the interviews and surveys. Results: Six hospices completed the survey, and 3 physicians, 2 nurses, and 2 hospital staff from a tertiary hospital were interviewed. Seven categories were defined as essential for establishing hospice data. Ten categories and 40 data items were newly suggested for the existing HIE document form. An implementation guide for the Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture developed by Health Level 7 (HL7 CCDA) was also proposed. It is an international standard for interoperability that provides a framework for the exchange, integration, sharing, and retrieval of electronic health information. Based on these changes, a hospice referral scenario for terminally ill cancer patients was designed. Conclusions: Our findings show potential improvements that can be made to the current hospice referral system for terminally ill cancer patients. To make the referral system useful in practice, governmental efforts and investments are needed.
Real time control system such as in factory automation fields, defense field, aerospace, railway industries, financial trading and so forth, includes multiple computers on multiple nodes, and share data to process various actions and functions. This is similar to multitasking in a multiprocessor computer system. The task processing efficiency of such system is proportionally increased by process speed of each process computer. And also it is greatly influenced by communication latencies of each node. To provide proper operation of such real time system, a network that can guarantee deterministic exchange of certain amount of data within a limited time is required. Such network is called as a real time network. As for modern distributed control system, the timeliness of data exchange gives important factor for the dynamics of entire control system. In a real time network system, exchanged data are determined by off-line design process to provide the timeliness of data. In other word, designer of network makes up a network data table that describes the specification of data exchanged between control equipments. And by this off-line design result, the network data are exchanged by predetermined schedule. First, this paper explains international standard real time network TCN (Train Communication Network) applied to the KHST (Korean High Speed Train) project. And then it explains the computer program developed for design tool of network data table of TCN.

This study aims to investigate the relationship between the variables of Current Ratio (CR), Return-on-Equity (ROE), Return-on-Assets (ROA), Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER), and Firm Size (FS) on Dividend Policy (DP) in real estate and property companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2016-2019, looking at nine real estate companies in Indonesia. The research methodology uses an explanatory analysis approach and linear regression. Based on the eligibility and homogeneity of the data, the number of sample companies selected was nine companies. The company's financial statement data derived from primary data obtained on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, such as current ratio (CR), return-on-equity (ROE), return-on-assets (ROA), debt-to-equity ratio (DER) and firm size and dividend policy variables. The data analysis procedure is first to transform financial data from the original ratio data into interval data and, then, transform it to ordinal data. Furthermore, the validity and reliability process are ignored because the data is primary. Finally, regression testing is part of the hypothesis testing stage. The results of this study showed that the CR, ROE, and firm size had no positive and significant effect on dividend policy. In contrast, DER and ROA have a positive and significant impact on dividend policy.

This study is to investigate the causal relationship between exchange hedge and the net income of the shipbuilder through the unit root test and co-integration and vector autoregressive model(Vector Autoregressive Model: VAR). First, quarter net income of shipbuilders to order a unit root tests from 2000 to 2013 was used as a value after the Johnson transformation. In the same period, the return on bond futures(KTBF), three years bond yield(KTB3Y), America-Korea exchange differences are weekly data for each quarterly difference in value was converted by utilization, shipbuilding shares after log transformation which it was used. Also, structural change point investigation analysis to verify that looked to take advantage of the structural changes occur in the exchange hedge strategies affecting net income in the shipbuilding industry. Between the exchange hedge and net income of shipbuilders in structural change points detection and analysis showed that structural changes occur starting in 2004. In other words, strategy of shipbuilders about exchange hedge has occurred from "passive exchange hedge" to "active exchange hedge". The exchange hedge of the Korea shipbuilders through the estimation of the VAR was able to grasp that affect the profitability of mutual shipbuilders. Macroeconomic variables and stock prices could also check to see that affected the net income of the shipbuilding industry.
Recently, as the development system has become larger, sequential simulation methods have become impossible to verify systems that take a long time or require real time results. Therefore, a study of a distributed simulation system that simulates several processes has been conducted. In order to simulate real-time systems, efficient data exchange between distributed systems is required. Data Distribution Service is a data-oriented communication middleware proposed by Object Management Group and provides efficient data exchange and various QoS. However, in a large-scale distributed simulation environment distributed over a wide area, there is a problem of Participant Discovery and QoS guarantee due to domain separation in data exchange. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a DDS/SDN architecture that can guaranteed QoS and effective Participant Discovery in an SDN-based network.
Electronic document processing using EDl (Electronic Data Interchange) must exchange documents using VAN (Value Added Network). However. the use of exclusive software needs alteration of a new document and the use of VAN(Value Added Network) demands an exchange of document and high cost for maintenance. Due to these problems, the existing EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is turning into Web-based EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). This paper suggests techniques that change EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) messages which exist in two relational databases into XML (extensible Markeup Language) using the JDBC bridge. Also this paper proposes a method that recovers schema using converted XML (extensible Markeup Language) file, and a method which inserts an original record into a declared table. This solves the limitation of an original method that have to use sane database management system and also overcomes the problem in certain circumstances where the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) exchange does not work.
