  • Researches on the gesture recognition have become a very interesting topic in the computer vision area, Gesture recognition from visual images has a number of potential applicationssuch as HCI (Human Computer Interaction), VR(Virtual Reality), machine vision. To overcome thetechnical barriers in visual processing, conventional approaches have employed cumbersome devicessuch as datagloves or color marked gloves. In this research, we capture gesture images without usingexternal devices and generate a gesture trajectery composed of point-tokens. The trajectory Is spottedusing phase-based velocity constraints and recognized using the discrete left-right HMM. Inputvectors to the HMM are obtained by using the LBG clustering algorithm on a polar-coordinate spacewhere point-tokens on the Cartesian space .are converted. A gesture vocabulary is composed oftwenty-two dynamic hand gestures for editing drawing elements. In our experiment, one hundred dataper gesture are collected from twenty persons, Fifty data are used for training and another fifty datafor recognition experiment. The recognition result shows about 95% recognition rate and also thepossibility that these results can be applied to several potential systems operated by gestures. Thedeveloped system is running in real time for editing basic graphic primitives in the hardwareenvironments of a Pentium-pro (200 MHz), a Matrox Meteor graphic board and a CCD camera, anda Window95 and Visual C++ software environment.

  • Recently, generative adversarial networks (GANs) is a field of research that has rapidly emerged wherein many studies conducted shows overwhelming results. Initially, this was at the level of imitating the training dataset. However, the GAN is currently useful in many fields, such as transformation of data categories, restoration of erased parts of images, copying facial expressions of humans, and creation of artworks depicting a dead painter's style. Although many outstanding research achievements have been attracting attention recently, GANs have encountered many challenges. First, they require a large memory facility for research. Second, there are still technical limitations in processing high-resolution images over 4K. Third, many GAN learning methods have a problem of instability in the training stage. However, recent research results show images that are difficult to distinguish whether they are real or fake, even with the naked eye, and the resolution of 4K and above is being developed. With the increase in image quality and resolution, many applications in the field of design and image and video editing are now available, including those that draw a photorealistic image as a simple sketch or easily modify unnecessary parts of an image or a video. In this paper, we discuss how GANs started, including the base architecture and latest technologies of GANs used in high-resolution, high-quality image creation, image and video editing, style translation, content transfer, and technology.

  • An environment of information sharing is developed as a high-speed growth of internet infrastructure and a fast supply of digital imaging devices. Therefore, developing and supply various digital contents are needed. As occasion demands, the utility of editing tools with a simple image viewer, or programs to need technical education increased. One of subproblems is to take long time for editing images. In this paper, we propose a new method which is a method to edit images in a lump. This method has advantages compared with the previous searching engines in terns of performances and speed. Also, we propose the new approach for developing fusion graphic image contents as binding each advantages of the category. It reduces the production time and costs of contents by the proposed method.

  • Small-scale maps currently used are made by scanning and editing printed maps and its shortcoming is accumulated errors at the time of editing and low accuracy. TM projection method is used but its accuracy varies. In addition, small-scale maps are made without consideration of usability and compatibility with other scale maps. Therefore, it is necessary to suggest projection and coordinates system improvement methods in consideration of usability and compatibility between data. The results of this study reveal that in order to make the optimum small-scale map, projection that fits the purpose of map usage in each scale, coordinate system and neat line composition should be selected in consideration of interrelation and compatibility with other maps. Conic projection should be used to accurately illustrate the entire country, but considering usability and compatibility with other maps, traversing cylindrical projection should be used instead of conic projection. For coordinates system of the small-scale map, Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM-K) based on the World Geodetic System should be used instead of conventional longitude and latitude coordinate system or Transverse Mercator.

  • In children education, it takes a much time for teachers to prepare teaching materials and tools. Most teaching materials and tools consist of pictures so that children may easily understand the contents of a study. If instructors free from laborious work for preparing these materials, they can provide children with better education by focusing more creative works. In this study, we manufactured many picture data which are used in children education, and developed a program that is used by teachers for the purpose of utilizing these pictures according to study topics. This program provides a feature that easily search more than 3700 pictures according to subjects and areas, and also provides various editing facilities such as expanding, reducing pictures and writing statements.

  • It is possible to classify image data into two types according to the internal representation: one is bitmap, the other is vector. A bitmap image is represented by the two dimensional pixels whereas a vector image is represented by mathematical functions to draw vector objects such as line, rectangle and circle on the two or three dimensional space. So it is necessary for users to use a individual application program for each different image. In this paper, we present a method for designing and implementation of image editing tool based on combining of bitmap and vector image.

  • The web trend has been flowed from portal site to user created contents site, recently. Therefore, many companies have suggested web program of producing contents for user's convenience. However, web applications that are operated in various web browsers and heterogeneous devices have many problems regarding distribution and management so far. Because of diverse one-source data formats. In this paper, we present an integrative displaying and distributing tool (IDD-Tool) for editing, distributing and managing multimedia contents and environment so that users can work. It is inspected that the tool is widely used in the fields of education, publication, corporations and etc. because a user can participates in contents producing easily in personal customized workplace with IDD-Tool and contents made by IDD-Tool are distributed.

  • A variety of medical service applications in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT) are being studied. Segmentation is important to identify meaningful regions in images and is also required in 3D images. Previous methods have been based on gray value and shape. The Visible Korean dataset consists of serially sectioned high-resolution color images. Unlike computed tomography or magnetic resonance images, automatic segmentation of color images is difficult because detecting an object's boundaries in colored images is very difficult compared to grayscale images. Therefore, skilled anatomists usually segment color images manually or semi-automatically. We present an out-of-core 3D segmentation method for large-scale image datasets. Our method can segment significant regions in the coronal and sagittal planes, as well as the axial plane, to produce a 3D image. Our system verifies the result interactively with a multi-planar reconstruction view and a 3D view. Our system can be used to train unskilled anatomists and medical students. It is also possible for a skilled anatomist to segment an image remotely since it is difficult to transfer such large amounts of data.

  • Organophosphorus (OP) pesticides, particularly malathion, parathion, diazinon, and chlorpyrifos, are widely used in both agricultural and residential contexts. This refractory quality is shared by certain organ phosphorus insecticides, and it may have unintended consequences for certain non-target soil species. Bioremediation cleans organic and inorganic contaminants using microbes and plants. Organophosphate-hydrolyzing enzymes can transform pesticide residues into non-hazardous byproducts and are increasingly being considered viable solutions to the problem of decontamination. When coupled with system analysis, the multi-omics technique produces important data for functional validation and genetic manipulation, both of which may be used to boost the efficiency of bioremediation systems. RNA-guided nucleases and RNA-guided base editors include zinc-finger nucleases (ZFNs), transcription activator-like effector nucleases (TALENs), and clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR), which are used to alter genes and edit genomes. The review sheds light on key knowledge gaps and suggests approaches to pesticide cleanup using a variety of microbe-assisted methods. Researches, ecologists, and decision-makers can all benefit from having a better understanding of the usefulness and application of systems biology and gene editing in bioremediation evaluations.
