  • The operating characteristics of power MOSFETs greatly vary depending on the junction temperature. A PSpice thermal model is implemented to simulate the temperature characteristics of the power MOSFETs in this paper. A thermal model is derived that can be applied online in PSpice simulations and PSpice parameters are reconstructed using a curve fitting from commercial data sheets. The implemented PSpice model is applied to the buck converter and the validity of the model is verified through experiments.

  • 본 논문에서는 일사량 데이터를 이용한 태양광 부스트 컨버터의 MPPT 성능분석에 대한 연구를 제안한다. 실외 실험을 통해 일사계(Pyranometer)로 측정한 일사량 데이터와 그에 따른 태양광 패널의 출력 데이터를 검토하여 부스트 컨버터의 MPPT 성능을 테스트 하였으며, 측정한 일사량 데이터를 토대로 수행한 시뮬레이션과 실험결과를 비교 분석하였다.

  • This paper presents the overall measurement system for on-line test of super-speed maglev train. The super-speed maglev train is composed of vehicle, propulsion, power, and so on. In order to evaluate and diagnose for sub-system, we made overall measurement system. Just like the other measurement system, it is designed to distributed type. The hardware is consist of SCXI, PXI, Terminal, UPS, and so forth. It is installed on a train, control room, power room and track to collect lots of signals. The software controls hardware system, monitors main data such as inverter current, converter voltage. Using the measurement system, we evaluated a lot of performances for vehicle, track, and so forth. Through the developed system have improved reliability and safety for super-speed maglev train.

  • In order to collect the engine performance data accurately, rapidly and reliabily, the microcomputer-based engine performance test system was developed and tested. The system measures engine shaft torque and speed, fuel consumption, exhaust gas temperature, engine shaft power and fuel consumption ratio. The system consisted of 32 channels 8 bit A/D converter, time clock, dynamic strain amplifier and signal conditioning circuits to amplify and filter the electrical signal from transducers. Most of transducers were devised for low cost, easy setting and self-manufacturing. The system has been installed on a small kerosene engine (DAEDONG NA50B).

  • This study was conducted to develop a grain moisture content measurement sensor for automatic control of rough rice drying by natural air. For the above objective, the electrod type sensor was designed and tested. The sensor was able to produce electrical resistance which changes with moisture content of grain. An A/D converter and a micro-computer wed for processing measurement data of sensor. The developed sensor satisfied most design requirements and the results of statistical analysis show that there it no difference between the measurement method of sensor developed and of the dry-oven. Using the developed sensor and measurement system, we are able to measure moisture content of rough rice automatically in drying by natural air.

  • This study aimed to analyze the fluid inside the ceramic filtration dust collection system which was assumed to be a stationary 3-dimensional turbulence. The fluid dynamics data necessary for performance curves were obtained based on the analysis results. The governing equations used to compute the velocity distribution and pressure inside the catalyst converter were expressed with continuity and momentum equations. Furthermore, the ${\kappa}-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model, already validated by the industry(coal factory, high temperature dust collector) was used for the study. Of a total of three computational models employed, Model-1 served as the basis for CFD analysis which took measurements in increments of 70mm.

  • Two field test installations are discussed. In the first one a new ammonia sensor and an accurate ventilation rate sensor are combined. They are installed in the exhaust chimney in a ventilated pig house. The relative humidity and the room temperature are measured as well. In the second one, an in situ NH$_3$longrightarrowNO converter with subsequent NOx analyser is also being added for accurate ammonia measurement . In this way , the continuous measurement of the total NH$_3$emission can be obtained , the performance of the NH$_3$ sensor can be evaluated, and the ammonia reduction techniques can be tested. The outputs of measurement are fed into a data acquisition system then to a PC in the laboratory. There has been realised the first test installation with which research on the new ammonia sensor is carried out. The primary research results are presented.

  • We developed a prototype force plate equipped with five load cells, a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter and three integrated circuits. The force plate displays the center of foot pressure, the magnitude and two (vertical and anterior-posterior) directions of the ground reaction force on a personal computer monitor. Although the force plate data are valid only for two directions, it can be a preliminary version of a more versatile 3 dimensional force plate in terms of the resolution and reliability.

  • 본 논문에서는 모빌 로봇에 확장하기 위한 시도로서 대기조건에 따른 오차를 보상한 맹인 안내용 mobile Robot의 ultrasonic ranging system을 설계하였다. 본 system에서는 MCS-80 microcomputer를 이용하여 주위환경에 대한 다량의 정보를 실시간으로 처리하였고, 다각적인 정보획득을 위하여 stepping motor로서 sensor를 회전시켰으며, 대기조건에 따른 오차보상을 위하여 기준거리 비교방법을 사용하였고, offset과 근접장애물로 인한 오인식을 방지하기 위하여 받아들여진 data를 선정할 수 있도록 A/D converter를 사용하였다. 또한 맹인 아내를 위한 audio tone generator에 대하여 연구하였으며, 그밖에 외부 system과의 I/O interface 등 이 system에 대한 hardware와 software에 관하여 논하였다. 본 System에서 거리측정 오차는 약 1cm 정도이고 측정가능거리는 $0.2{\sim}6m$이다.

The Evaluation of Degradation Characteristics of Silicone Rubber for Outdoor by Leakage Current Monitoring (누설전류 모니터링에 의한 옥외용 실리콘 고무의 열화 특성 평가)

  • The degradation process of silicone rubber was investigated by leakage current monitoring in Inclined-Plane method. DAS (Data Acquisition System) with 12-bit, 8-channel A/D converter was prepared. Average current, cumulative charge, current waveform and the number of peak pulses were measured on-line. And, FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) analysis was performed with stored current waveform. Besides, maximum erosion depth was measured in order to use as the indicator of the degradation process. So, the results of leakage current components and maximum erosion depth measurements were compared to find one or more components which have trends of changing similarly to that of erosion process. The result suggests that the ratio of peak current to r.m.s. current, harmonic contents and the number of peak pulses are well corresponding with the degradation process.
