Has the Gap of Fiscal Self-sufficiency Rates of 16 Provincial Governments Been Narrowed? (우리나라 광역자치단체의 재정자립도 격차는 줄어들고 있는가)

  • The main purpose of this study is to investigate whether the gap of fiscal self-sufficiency rates of 16 provincial governments in Korea has been narrowed and to suggest some remedies based on the empirical results. The panel data set from 1998 to 2013 is used and pooled OLS and system GMM regression techniques are employed. The fiscal self-sufficiency rates show downward trend and ${\beta}-convergence$ exists in absolute and conditional convergence analysis. The speed of conditional convergence anlysis is proved to be faster than that of absolute analysis. Both metropolitan cities and prefectures show convergence of fiscal self-sufficiency rates. We have found out that in the case of metropolitan cities, the proportion of workers in the tertiary industry has positive effect on fiscal self-sufficiency rates and in the case of prefectures number of cars per capita has positive effect. And in both cases increase in old population has negative effect.

A Study on Brand Personality and Employee's Self - Image Congruity and Job Satisfaction - Especially for Family Restaurant - (브랜드 개성이 종사원 자아 이미지 일치와 직무만족에 미치는 영향 - 패밀리 레스토랑을 중심으로 -)

  • This day's research analyzed the difference between brand personality, self - image congruity, job satisfaction and their influences towards employees of family restaurants in order to suggest a plan which would induce researcher's interest as well as influencing diversification of management strategies toward dining-out business. The purpose of this research is to analyse the difference between brand personality, self - image congruity, job satisfaction and their influences towards employees of family restaurants. The survey questionnaires were distributed to 300 employees of family restaurants in Seoul from August 1th until August 30th 2009, and 257 of them were used for analysis. The top seven company's were chosen by base on data from 2009 Annual Dinner of the Korea. Statistics handling of this research used SPSS WIN 17.0 statistics package program, which performed frequency analysis, factor analysis, regrssion anlysis. The research result shows, first of all, the relationship between company's brand personality and personal self - image congruity, it shows that the company's brand personality has higher on 'ability/capability, loyalty/fidelity, and strong' the personal self - image congruity appeared higher. The relationship between company's brand personality and social self-image congruity, it shows that the company's brand personality has higher on 'ability/capability and loyalty/fidelity' the social self-image congruity appeared higher. Second of all, in a relation between the self-image congruity and job satisfaction, the personal self-image congruity has shown positive impact on job satisfaction. Third of all, in a relationship between the company's brand personality and job satisfaction, if 'interest or loyalty/fidelity' shows higher on brand personality, than job satisfaction has shown higher.

  • ATIS(Advanced Traffic Information System) provide valuable information as the travel time and traffic congestion, detour, traffic accident information to drivers, so it is being in the spotlight. But so far, the study on the consumer satisfaction with providing traffic information is incomplete. So, this study run a Canonical discriminant analysis and a Canonical correlation analysis by a QuantificationIItheory based on a Traffic Information Satisfaction image data through questionnaires, and found out the factors with influence on the consumer satisfaction. And this study definitely found out the correlation between consumer's recognition and traffic information satisfaction through understanding the change on the recognition about traffic information satisfaction by a QuantificationItheory. Finally, this study found out the change on the sensibility recognition of drivers by running the principal component anlysis, developed the traffic information satisfaction evaluation model considering the change on the recognition by using the structural equation model.

Study of Confidence Ranges for Field Phase Difference Measurement Data Collected using Geophones (지오폰을 활용한 현장 위상각차 계측 데이터 신뢰 구간에 관한 기초 연구)

  • Regular monitoring plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of geotechnical structures. Currently, nondestructive methods are employed to monitor such structures to minimize the impact, e.g., sensor-based accelerometers, displacement meters, image-based lasers, and drone imaging. These technologies can observe surface changes; however, they frequently suffer difficulties in terms of identifying changes in internal properties. To monitor changes in internal properties, in situ geotechnical investigations can be employed. A nondestructive test that can be used for this purpose is the spectral analysis of surface wave (SASW) test using geophones. The SASW test is a nondestructive method; however, due to the time required for data interpretation and the difficulty in analyzing the data, it is challenging to use the SASW test for monitoring applications that require frequent observations. However, it is possible to apply the first-step analysis, which yields the dispersion curve, for monitoring rather than the complete SASW analysis, which yields the shear wave velocity. Thus, this paper presents a fundamental study on the phase difference that derives the dispersion curve to utilize the SASW test for monitoring. The reliability of each phase difference interval is examined to determine the boundary to the subjected monitor. The study used phase difference data obtained using a geophone from a single-layered, homogeneous ground site to evaluate reliable boundaries. The findings of this study are expected to improve the utility of monitoring by identifying the ideal boundary for phase difference data.

An introductory study on the urban functions using CHAID technique (CHAID 技法에 의한 都市機能의 試論的 硏究)

  • To this day, a number of quantitative analytical methods have been employed in clarifying regional characteristics in the discipline of geography. This paper attempted, as a part of application of those quantitative analyses, to make clear the urban functions and consequently the urban characteristics statistically by adopting newly-introduced CHAID, a sort of discriminant analyis technique. The processing of data was sonducted in two phases. To begin with, the urban functions were classified after designating twenty cities - the population of each city counting 250, 000 or more - as predictor variable, and at the same time four major urban functions like administration, marketing, finance and production as response variable. And then, preeminent functions of individual region were discriminated and concurrently classified by treating the remaining traffic, education, medicare, culture and transportation functions as predictor variable, and the following five regions as response variable: Metropolitan Seoul Area. Pusan region, Taegu region, Kwangju region and Chungcheong region. According to the result of this analysis, marketing and administration are emereed as meaningful functions in Seoul and Taegu respectively. As for the finance function only Pusan and Pucheon can be discriminated. Seoul, Pusan and Seongnam reveal their dominancy in production function. To take a look at the result of the latter analysis, the Metropolitan Seoul area shows, among other functions, strong traffic and finance functions. When it comes fo Pusan region, adminstration, education and finance functions are recorded as a leading ones, and Taegu region is preferable in education, medicare and transportation functions. In case of Kwangju region adminstration, production and education functions are discriminated from any other functions. Chungcheong region shows similar aspect with only traffic function replacing the production function of Kwangju region. Based on aforementioned anlysis, it can be said that the CHAID technique, which is capable of processing large amount of categorical data and, by presenting its outcome in the form of dendrogram, facilitates the interpretation work, is an effective, meaningful means to classify and discriminate certain geographical regions and their characteristics.

  • As results of many genome projects, genomic sequences of many organisms are revealed. Various methods such as global alignment, local alignment are used to analyze the sequences of the organisms, and k -mer analysis is one of the methods for analyzing the genomic sequences. The k -mer analysis explores the frequencies of all k-mers or the symmetry of them where the k -mer is the sequenced base with the length of k. However, existing on-memory algorithms are not applicable to the k -mer analysis because a whole genomic sequence is usually a large text. Therefore, efficient data structures and algorithms are needed. String B-tree is a good data structure that supports external memory and fits into pattern matching. In this paper, we improve the string B-tree in order to efficiently apply the data structure to k -mer analysis, and the results of k -mer analysis for C. elegans and other 30 genomic sequences are shown. We present a visualization system which enables users to investigate the distribution and symmetry of the frequencies of all k -mers using CGR (Chaotic Game Representation). We also describe the method to find the signature which is the part of the sequence that is similar to the whole genomic sequence.

Evaluation of environmental drought index applicability for watershed-specific drought management (유역 맞춤형 가뭄 관리를 위한 환경가뭄지수 적용성 평가)

  • This study comprehensively evaluates the environmental impacts of droughts caused by abnormal climate change. Specifically, to quantitatively analyze the impact of droughts on the water environment of river basins, an Environmental Drought Index (EDI) was developed using meteorological, hydrological, and water quality parameters. The study focuses on the Han River basin, categorizing the watersheds into urban, agricultural, and forest types to develop region-specific EDIs. Various data analysis techniques, such as multiple linear regression, principal component and random forest analysis, were employed to determine the weights of different parameters to assess the impact of droughts. The primary water quality parameter used in the assessment was BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand). The results showed that in urban areas, TOC (Total Organic Carbon) and flow were the primary parameters, with significant deterioration in water quality during droughts. In agricultural areas, TOC and EC (Electrical Conductivity) were the primary parameters driving changes in water quality during droughts. In forest areas, TOC, flow and cumulative precipitation were identified as the primary parameters, with relatively less impact compared to other regions.

A study on the derivation and evaluation of flow duration curve (FDC) using deep learning with a long short-term memory (LSTM) networks and soil water assessment tool (SWAT) (LSTM Networks 딥러닝 기법과 SWAT을 이용한 유량지속곡선 도출 및 평가)

  • Climate change brought on by global warming increased the frequency of flood and drought on the Korean Peninsula, along with the casualties and physical damage resulting therefrom. Preparation and response to these water disasters requires national-level planning for water resource management. In addition, watershed-level management of water resources requires flow duration curves (FDC) derived from continuous data based on long-term observations. Traditionally, in water resource studies, physical rainfall-runoff models are widely used to generate duration curves. However, a number of recent studies explored the use of data-based deep learning techniques for runoff prediction. Physical models produce hydraulically and hydrologically reliable results. However, these models require a high level of understanding and may also take longer to operate. On the other hand, data-based deep-learning techniques offer the benefit if less input data requirement and shorter operation time. However, the relationship between input and output data is processed in a black box, making it impossible to consider hydraulic and hydrological characteristics. This study chose one from each category. For the physical model, this study calculated long-term data without missing data using parameter calibration of the Soil Water Assessment Tool (SWAT), a physical model tested for its applicability in Korea and other countries. The data was used as training data for the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) data-based deep learning technique. An anlysis of the time-series data fond that, during the calibration period (2017-18), the Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency (NSE) and the determinanation coefficient for fit comparison were high at 0.04 and 0.03, respectively, indicating that the SWAT results are superior to the LSTM results. In addition, the annual time-series data from the models were sorted in the descending order, and the resulting flow duration curves were compared with the duration curves based on the observed flow, and the NSE for the SWAT and the LSTM models were 0.95 and 0.91, respectively, and the determination coefficients were 0.96 and 0.92, respectively. The findings indicate that both models yield good performance. Even though the LSTM requires improved simulation accuracy in the low flow sections, the LSTM appears to be widely applicable to calculating flow duration curves for large basins that require longer time for model development and operation due to vast data input, and non-measured basins with insufficient input data.

However, adolescent health has been neglected from education field because of competitive school education focused on the university entrance examination That's why I suggest in this study that we should pay much more attention to adolescent health condition and try to make It better, in terms of man-power development and life-health promotion for nation development The purposes of this study are as follows First, to look into a variety of adolescent health problems Second, to find out the situation and problems of current adolescent health promotion and school health education Third, to make an effort to find, based on the current situation, various developments of adolescent health promotion and school health education in terms of practical, political and environmental change There are used study methods as adolescent-related, school heath-related literature review and anlysis of statistical data The results and suggestions are as follows Teenagers have a great variey of health problems including most Important physical, mental and social developments Recently, chronic diseases, emotional problems, health-risk behaviors linked With adolescents are on increase The complicated disorders of physical, mental, social health rather than paricular aspects of health or health-behavior problems influence adolescent health problems adolescence is regarded as the period when most health-related behaviors are formed. Therefore, adolescent health promotion would he assured by developing the ability of controlling multi-dimensional health determinants in the early stage. Health promotion is a positive concept that each individual, family and community makes real efforts to improve their health To achive this, we need health educational, organizational, political and environmental supports. Adolescent health promotion in Korea has been systematically treated in the category of school health Current school health services have had lots of systemic, constitutional, administrative and educational flaws Accordingly, I'm concerned that we can afford to accept a variety of adolescent health needs However, I would say that if were not to make those flaws better, it's certain that Korean national competitive power and the quality of the lives of most Koreans Will he threatened someday We have to develop Comprehensive School Health Crriculum(CSHC) and set up its standards to Improve adolescent health. CSHC is an organizational and costant process. CSHC means an Important part of overall curriculums. In addition, I could say that it's an Important school health education acivity including current school health services-health care service and school health environment. In conclusion, in order to develop CSHC, we require school nurse's role changes, establishment and management of intergrated subject of health education, striking revision of school health law(or legislation of school health promotion law), reorganization of administration system, big changes in curriculum for school health educators.

Identification of Tumor Antigens in Lung Cancer Patient by SEREX (폐암 환자에서 면역항원유전자의 혈청학적 동정)

  • Serological anlysis of recombinant cDNA expression libraries (SEREX) has led to identification of several categories of new antigens recognized by the immune system of cancer patients, which are referred to as the cancer immunome. We analyzed normal testis cDNA expression libraries with serumobtained from non-small lung cancer patient and isolated 40 distinct antigen designated KP-LuT-1 through KP-LuT-40. Among these antigens 20 antigens were previously identified by SEREX analysis of other tumor types, and 20 out of 40 antigens (50%) did not match entries in Cancer Immunome Database and were considered newly identified antigens. Sequencing analysis showed that the anti-gens comprised 26 functional known proteins and 14 noble/uncharacterized gene products. Of these, the hypothetical protein KP-LuT-6 was shown tissue-restricted. RT-PCR showed it to be expressed strongly only in normal testis. In addition to normal tissues-restricted expression, KP-LuT-6 mRNA was detected in lung tumor samples(3/l0), stomach tumor samples(3/l0), and breast tumor samples(l/5), whereas not detected in colon tumor samples(O/I2). These data suggest that KP-LuT-6 is a cancer/testis (CT)-like antigen as a potential target for cancer immunotherapies.
