Recently, there is an increasing interest in analysis of big data that is coming from manufacturing industry. In this paper, we use PCB (Printed Circuit Board) manufacturing data to provide manufacturers with information on areas with high PCB defect rates, and to visualize them to facilitate production and quality control. We use the K-means and DBSCAN clustering algorithms to derive the high fraction of PCB defects, and compare which of the two algorithms provides more accurate results. Finally, we develop a system of MVC structure to visualize the information about bad clusters obtained through clustering, and visualize the defected areas on actual PCB images.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to recognize the role and necessity of public data visualization through prior research, investigation, and data verification processes. In addition, this study intends to check what factors should be considered in order to visualize data on the mobile web. Through this process, by identifying the cognitive load affecting information visualization by type, as a result, I would like to propose an effective information visualization method to effectively deliver public data related to government policies. Research design, data and methodology: In this study, we analyzed the case of information visualization according to infographics, which has been widely used in the public field among various visualization methods. For this study, a questionnaire survey was conducted for young people in their 20s and 30s with the highest mobile usage rate. Results: Based on the results, IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) was performed to conduct cognitive load test tools for information visualization of public data and confirmed the implications for each type of infographics. Conclusions: As a result of research, in order to efficiently deliver public data on the mobile web, first, it is necessary to construct a visual screen that can be easily identified through clear data. Appropriate graphic elements can be used according to the type to make it easier for users to acquire and understand information. Second, it is necessary to provide useful content in visualizing information. Third, in order to efficiently transmit information and increase understanding of data, it is necessary to visualize information that can induce interest in data and form metaphors. Fourth, it is necessary to visualize information to reduce cognitive load in terms of physical and mental aspects in order to accommodate users' comfortable information. Fifth, in order to effectively deliver public data, it is necessary to compose contents and information that are easy for users to understand. This study examines effective information visualization methods to increase the communication effect of public data in response to changes in the data-based intelligent information society and suggests implications for each type considering cognitive loads to help future public institutions to communicate and accept information.

The family tree is one of the key elements of humanities classics research and is very important for accurately understanding people or families. In this paper, we introduce a method for automatically generating a family tree using information on interpersonal relationships (IIPR) from the Korean Classics Database (KCDB) and visualize interpersonal searches within a family tree using data-driven document JavaScript (d3.js). To date, researchers of humanities classics have wasted considerable time manually drawing family trees to understand people's influence relationships. An automatic family tree builder analyzes a database that visually expresses the desired family tree. Because a family tree contains a large amount of data, we analyze the performance and bottlenecks according to the amount of data for visualization and propose an optimal way to construct a family tree. To this end, we create an n-ary tree with fake data, visualize it, and analyze its performance using simulation results.
Methylation of cytosine is a post-synthesis modification that does not affect the primary DNA sequence but greatly influences gene expression level and phenotypes of an organism. As high-throughput sequencing of bisulfite-treated DNA is the most efficient method to identify methylated sites, several tools to map sequencing reads on a reference are available. But tools to visualize and to interpret the methylation level of methylation sites are currently insufficient. Herein, we present a novel tool to visualize the methylation level of CpG sites.
Multi-omics data is difficult to interpret due to the heterogeneity of information by the volume of data, the complexity of characteristics of each data, and the diversity of omics platforms. There is not yet a system for interpreting to visualize research data on environmental diseases concerning environmental harmful substances. We provide MEE, a web-based visualization tool, to comprehensively explore the complexity of data due to the interconnected characteristics of high-dimensional data sets according to exposure to various environmental harmful substances. MEE visualizes omics data of correlation between omics data, subjects and samples by keyword searches of meta data, multi-omics data, and harmful substances. MEE has been demonstrated the versatility by two examples. We confirmed the correlation between smoking and asthma with RNA-seq and Methylation-Chip data, it was visualized that genes (P HACTR3, PXDN, QZMB, SOCS3 etc.) significantly related to autoimmune or inflammatory diseases. To visualize the correlation between atopic dermatitis and heavy metals, we selected 32 genes related immune response by integrated analysis of multi-omics data. However, it did not show a significant correlation between mercury in blood and atopic dermatitis. In the future, should continuously collect an appropriate level of multi-omics data in MEE system, will obtain data to analyze environmental substances and diseases.

This paper proposes a CAE data translation and visualization technique that can verify time-varying continuous analysis simulation in a virtual reality (VR) environment. In previous research, the use of CAE analysis data has been problematic because of the lack of any interactive simulation controls for visualizing continuous simulation data. Moreover, the research on post-processing methods for real-time verification of CAE analysis data has not been sufficient. We therefore propose a scene graph based visualization method and a post-processing method for supporting interoperability of continuous CAE analysis data. These methods can continuously visualize static analysis data independently of any timeline; it can also continuously visualize dynamic analysis data that varies in relation to the timeline. The visualization system for continuous simulation data, which includes a CAE middleware that interfaces with various formats of CAE analysis data as well as functions for visualizing continuous simulation data and operational functions, enables users to verify simulation results with more realistic scenes. We also use the system to do a performance evaluation with regard to the visualization of continuous simulation data.
Visual analysis of spatiotemporal data has focused on a variety of techniques for analyzing and exploring the data. The goal of these techniques is to explore the spatiotemporal data using time information, discover patterns in the data, and analyze spatiotemporal data. The overall trend flow patterns help users analyze geo-referenced temporal events. However, it is difficult to extract and visualize overall trend flow patterns using data that has no trajectory information for movements. In order to visualize overall trend flow patterns, in this paper, we estimate continuous distributions of discrete events over time using KDE, and we extract vector fields from the continuous distributions using the gravity model. We then apply our technique on twitter data to validate techniques.
Because of the open data in public domains, it is easy to collect the public data. However, people find difficulty in visualizing the data in material that they actually want. Especially, A map is a difficult material to do the visualization work, without using the specific tools and learning. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed an interface tool for map data visualization that user can easily visualize various national statistics data on the map. We designed the interface by classifying the properties of the map systematically, focusing on the completion and convenience for making the map. After that, we developed a web-based application using D3.js. After user evaluation, we found that our application can visualize the map more quickly and completely than any other web interfaces for map data visualization. Users also found a higher satisfaction in operating convenience.

his paper is to develop a GIS application model (GISCELWAB) for the spatial simulation of surface runoff from a small watershed. The model was constituted by three submodels : The input data extraction model (GISINDATA) which prepares cell-based input data automatically for a given watershed, the cell water balance model (CELWAB) which calculates the water balance for a cell and simulates surface runoff of watershed simultaneously by the interaction of cells, and the output data management model (GISOUTDISP) which visualize the results of temporal and spatial variation of surface runoff. The input data extraction model was developed to solve the time-consuming problems for the input-data preparation of distributed hydrologic model. The input data for CELWAB can be obtained by extracting ASCII data from a vector map. The output data management model was developed to convert the storage depth and discharge of cells into grid map. This model enables to visualize the spatial formulation process of watershed storage depth and surface runoff wholly with time increment.

The satellite Chollian was successfully launched on June 27, 2010 and is expected to perform its communication, oceanographic, and meteorological duties for seven years. The follow-up launch of the Chollian satellite is already being planned, and diverse studies are under way to enable the use of the Korean satellite data. Studies are also being actively conducted in and out of Korea to visualize the meteorological data on the open-source virtual globes. The meteorological data include ground observation, satellite, and digital-model data. In this study, an efficient three-dimensional technique was developed to visualize typhoons on the virtual globes using the Chollian satellite data. This study was conducted to provide service to the public via the scientific visualization of the satellite image data, and to create an efficient satellite image analysis environment for meteorological researchers.
