A fundamental issue to consider when searching Web information is the quality of information itself and of service. If a Quality Information System (QIS) of Digital Library is sought, new measurement criteria and evaluation index for Web information service are required. Reliance on the existing evaluation criteria is not acceptable if data retrieved are not information and the service is only noise to end-user. Applying existing evaluation criteria of online database to Environmental & Energy Engineering Web DB revealed the limitations and provided a practical and case-based information for improvement. No attempt was made to survey comprehensively all of the evaluation methods that could possibly be relevant. Instead, this discussion concentrates on the information service evaluation index being developed in the KDPC Project. The research found that domestic Web-DB service are still woefully insufficient to conduct comprehensive investigations on environmental topics. More qualified and specialized R&D Web information service and the development of new evaluation criteria based on this investigation(research I.) will be discussed in follow-up research II.

This research is motivated by the concept of online banking or Internet banking where consumers aren't required to visit a bank branch to complete most of their basic banking transactions. They can do all of this at their own convenience, wherever they want. This research aims to find out the role of e-satisfaction in mediating the influence of e-service quality on the e-loyalty of the customer of a private bank in Indonesia. The method of data collection in this research is by using probability sampling with the simple purposive sampling technique. Data that is collected from 205 respondents is the data that meet the criteria, which are the respondent needs to be a bank customer and must have an Internet banking account. The analysis method that is used is regression analysis through the SEM method with the aid of SmartPLS 3.0 software to test the significance of e-satisfaction role in mediating the relationship between e-service quality and e-loyalty. The research result shows that e-service quality has a significant positive influence on e-satisfaction; e-satisfaction has a significant positive influence on e-loyalty, e-service has a significant positive influence on e-loyalty, and e-satisfaction significantly mediate the influence of e-service quality towards e-loyalty.
This study is a fundamental research which suggests some standards that can be used in selecting some advanced materials to be applied in housing space designs. The following conclusions have been drawn from the study. First, it has been discovered that as the residents' quality of life improved, the finishing materials emerged as an important element of housing spaces. It could also be seen that among the finishing materials used in housing spaces, there is recently a growing trend towards various environmentally-friendly advanced materials under the theme of 'the nature' and 'health'. As a result, the need to investigate the standards of discriminatory and efficient housing space designs using advanced materials is on the increase. Second, through the literature and precedent studies, the physical criteria of advanced materials have been classified into five categories: new technology, new manufacturing methods, new materials, complementation and applicability. The main criteria of advanced finishing materials for housing spaces have been classified into four main categories: durability, functionality, economical efficiency and sensibility. By collecting and classifying some key words according to each of these four categories, the representative or combinable features have been extracted. By organizing the advanced materials' physical criteria and their details, some standards based on the physical aspects have been suggested. The features of the finishing materials in consideration of advanced materials have been reclassified into the user-based criteria, environmental criteria and spatial criteria. Through this method, the criteria have been brought up from a new viewpoint, establishing the standards for the advanced materials applicable to housing spaces. Finally, after assessing the criteria by analyzing the advanced materials currently known to be applicable in housing spaces, it has been concluded that the criteria can be used as the fundamental standards. As this study is based on investigating the literature and data, it may be less than reasonable to generalize from the limited number of examples. Hence, it shall be important to make a profound study of some detailed criteria by suggesting more objective standards and analyzing a greater variety of advanced materials.

To properly assess air pollution levels, application of quality assurance and quality control(QA/QC) is believed to be an essential step. In order to cope with such scientific principle, a field study was designed with an aim of comparing: 1) the methods of calibration for airborne pollutants and 2) the protocols developed for their measurements. Measurements were made at Han Yang University, Seoul during 29 May through 1 June 1998 under the management of the Division of Measurements and Analysis(DMA) of Korean Society for Atmospheric Environment(KOSAE). In this work, we report our results of intercomparative measurements on several gaseous criteria pollutants that were investigated mainly by the two institutes-Seoul National University(SNU) and the Korean Research Institute for Standards and Science(KRISS). Although measurements of major gaseous pollutants had been made routinely by many scientific institutes and organizations in Korea, most scientists involved in those studieswere obliged to do their experiments on the basis of their own procedural steps spaning from the preparation of gaseous standards to the methodological selections for the calibration. Hence, this campaign offered a unique opportunity to examine many important aspects on the measurements of these important gaseous pollutants. In the course of our study, we investigated the compatibility of data sets obtained by the two institutes in concert with reference data sets collected concurrently from a government-managed monitoring station. On the basis of our study, we conclude that different data sets made by different participants during this campaign agree well within the reasonable range of uncertainties.low, which indicated that during this period the potential acidity of precipitation was high but the neutralizing capacity was low. For Spring, pAi was very low but pH was slightly high. This was likely due to the large amount of $CaCO_3$ in the soil particles transported over a long range from the Chinese continent that were incorporated into the precipitation, and then neutralized the acidifying species with its high concentraton.

The purpose of this study was to compare consumers' evaluation, evaluation criteria and preference factors, complaint factors on domestic brand apparel with consumers' responses on foreign brand apparel. 498 subjects were gathered through convenience sampling method and, for data analysis, mean, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan test, Factor Analysis were conducted. The results are as follows; 1. Among the purchasing groups of domestic/foreign brand apparel, there were significant differences in apparel evaluation according to fabric, style, sewing, versatility, match, washability and color. 2. Among the purchasing groups of domestic/foreign brand apparel, there were significant differences in apparel evaluation criteria according to price, match, brand name, washability. 3. Purchasers of domestic brand apparel preferred soft and light fabric, fabric of good tactility, simple and sophisticated style whereas purchasers of foreign brand apparel preferred soft and light fabric, fabric of high quality, elegant and sophisticated style. On apparel color preference, there were significant differences among the purchasing groups of domestic/foreign brand apparel. 4. The differences in complaint factors of apparel among the purchasing groups of domestic/foreign brand apparel were due to factors such as high quality and variety of fabrics, colors, items, styles.

Multimedia searching is an important activity on the Web, especially among the younger generation. The purpose of this study aims to examine college students’ multimedia information needs and searching on the Internet. While there is a clear pattern among students with respect to their multimedia uses, searching sources, relevance criteria and searching barriers, some differences exist especially according to searching of different multimedia types such as image, audio and video. For multimedia uses, information/data-focused uses are frequently found in image and video, while the use of audio is mainly for object-focused searches. As multimedia searching sources, audio and video files present a similar pattern of being high in media specific searching sources and low in generic search engines. Browsing through related blogs and homepages is an important part of searching for media files accounting for approximately 20% of total search for each media. The relevance criteria used by study participants when search for image files was primarily concerned with topicality while the contextual and media quality in the audio and video types are also considered important. Searching barriers for audio and video files are categorized into three broad aspects, including access and search quality, preview limitations and collection limitations, while obstacles for image files searching include access difficulties and low qualities of various collection.
This paper is dealing with recent hot issues related with copper toxicity and its criteria, which was caused by a new government policy relocating some industries discharging priority-water quality pollutants from the watershed of Han River to other regions. Author is not interested in arguments between two sides of anti- and pro-policy but would like to go over status of copper pollution and its management and regulatory policy in Korea. From the data of published Research Journals and Reports, it can be concluded that copper is very common metal not only in the effluent from publically owned wastewater treatment plants, but also as a non-point source pollutant in the rainfall runoff. In addition, there have been very few studies personal interests, not by National Fund Basis. In order to enforce a new regulation, national-wide macro and micro-mass balance work of heavy metals should be performed in advance. In particular, background concentration and measurement errors have to be clearly defined before a new standard or criteria is established. The new standard has to be acceptable in terms of the best available technology and cost.

Since mold industries are regarded as belonging to three types of bad business, capable young people are reluctant to work in this field. The industries are hard to employ skilled workers who have much experience and knowledge On the mold manufacturing. Thus, effective CAM systems are required for unskilled workers to create process plans and NC data for the manufacturing, and process plans play important roles in the downstream manufacturing processes, such as NC machining, polishing, and final assembly. This study proposes a decision support system that facilitates unskilled workers to easily select high quality NC-data, as well as to increase productivity. The proposed system is assumed to follow a CAM operation scenario that consists of next three steps: 1) identifying several process plans and enumerating feasible unit machining operations (UMOs) from material and part surface information, 2) creating all feasible NC-data based on UMOs using a commercial CAM system, 3) selecting the best NC data among the feasible NC data using four screening criteria, such as machining accuracy, machining allowance, cutting load, and processing time. A case study on the machining of a camera core mold is provided to demonstrate the proposed system.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate current criteria for insurance coverage by Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service (HIRA) on the systemic therapy used in the treatment of advanced or metastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC), by reviewing all available clinical evidences including a variety of clinical practice guidelines. Methods: We searched clinical databases and collected data from published phase 1 through 3 randomized clinical trials on all systemic therapies used in RCC, including novel targeted therapies. Additionally, current clinical practice guidelines on the management of kidney cancer or RCC were reviewed. Based on the collected data we evaluated the appropriateness of the HIRA criteria for insurance coverage on the systemic therapy of RCC whether they are evidence-based and up to date. Results: On the basis of the collected data we concluded that there was a need for a revision in HIRA criteria for systemic therapy of RCC. Despite recent emerging therapeutic advances and changes in therapeutic strategies of management of RCC, some of anticancer regimens were inappropriately listed even though they were not proven to provide efficacy or safety superior to those of other therapies. We thus proposed an updated recommendation based on current clinical evidences. Conclusion: Systemic therapy of RCC is being rapidly changed with the advancement of understanding of the molecular biology of cancer. Consequently newly developed targeted therapies are becoming the standard therapy in the management of medically or surgically unresectable advanced or metastatic RCC. To provide effective and safe therapy to patients with RCC, the criteria for insurance coverage should be made carefully taking into consideration of most up-to-date and high-quality clinical evidences, and should be continuously reviewed so as to reflect evidence-based clinical practice.
Normative theory suggests that control systems should be designed to complement management's objectives and strategies. However, few empirical studies have focused on how control systems have been modified to complement new manufacturing techniques, such as zero-defect strategy. The major purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the attributes of quality strategy and control system on performance. The previous studies have subdivided quality strategy into the ECL(economic conformance level) and ZD(zero-defect) strategy. To accomplish the purpose, this study empirically analysed the data based on the questionnaires from manufacturing department personnel of 67 Korean companies. The major results are as follows. The companies that had implemented the ZD strategy and its control system outperformed the companies that had implemented ECL strategy. Also, the ZD strategy differs from ECL strategy in control system, the criteria of performance evaluation and feedback frequence variable. There is no difference in quality performance monitoring and communication variable. From this results, although many companies have strived for continuous improvement of quality, it was restricted in improvement activities that dont's required much investment cost, quality performance monitoring and communication.
