Methods: Subjects were 186 nurses with more than one year working experience. They currently worked in four small-medium sized hospitals specialized in spinal surgery. Data were collected from June 13 to July 12, 2016 using self-recorded questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. Results: Among individual personality characteristics, extroversion significantly affected job satisfaction; on the other hand, extroversion and openness affected organizational commitment. In the meantime, organizational characteristics did not present statistical effects on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Conclusion: Based on these results, we found that extroversion and openness had statistically significant influences on nurses' job satisfaction and organizational commitment in small-medium sized hospitals. Therefore, when hospitals recruit nurses, we recommend considering their personality traits in order to increase compliance with duties and organizational characteristics.

  • The primary purpose of the study is to investigate the volatility spillover from financial uncertainty (FU) of the United States (US) to the stock markets of SAARC member countries including India, Sri-Lanka, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. The empirical literature overlooked SAARC countries and the FU index. Based on the estimation method, the data of FU is available for three different forecast horizons including 1-month, 3-months, and 12-months. For empirical analysis, monthly data is used from February 2013 to September 2019. EGARCH model is employed to investigate the volatility spillover effects. The findings of the study show that the spillover effect of FU varies with the forecast horizon. The FU with a higher forecast horizon has a significant spillover effect on more countries. The spillover effect of US financial uncertainty is negative in most of the SAARC countries. Bangladesh stock market is influenced by FU with all three forecast horizons whereas the volatility of the Pakistan stock market is not influenced by FU with any forecast horizon. The findings are consistent with the concept of "limited trade openness" in the financial markets of emerging economies. The emerging economies avoid financial market openness to minimize the risk of spillover of other countries.

The results of analysis of structural equation modeling showed that self-efficacy, competition culture, and sharing culture were found to have both direct and indirect impacts on team's performance. However, openness was not statistically significant in the effect on knowledge sharing and team's performance. The implications of these factors will be used to develop knowledge sharing strategies that facilitates team performance.

  • Background: The purpose of this study is to identify the gender sensitivity and gender role stereotypes of students in dental hygiene and to provide basic data to expand social awareness of equal gender sensitivity and gender role in dental hygiene and students by identifying the degree of correlation. Methods: The purpose of this study was to study dental hygiene students at colleges in Gyeonggi and Chungcheong areas. The survey was conducted from April 1 to April 30, 2021. The final sample was analyzed on 157 subjects. T-test and ANOVA analysis were performed to compare gender sensitivity and gender role stereotypes according to general characteristics. Equal variances were tested using the Levene statistic, and significant differences between groups were identified through Scheffe's post hoc analysis. Pearson's correlation analysis was performed to confirm the correlation between gender sensitivity and gender role stereotypes. Results: Gender sensitivity was 2.69 and gender role stereotypes were 1.83. Among the sub-areas of gender sensitivity, gender role openness was the highest at 2.86, and non-violence was the lowest at 2.50. As for gender role stereotypes, social stereotypes were the highest among sub-areas at 1.71. Among the general characteristics, there was a statistically significant difference in gender sensitivity according to the presence or absence of opposite sex friends (p=0.011). The gender identity openness of gender sensitivity and the physical sub-areas of gender role stereotypes showed the highest positive correlation(r=0.955). Among the sub-areas of gender sensitivity, gender role openness and domestic stereotypes showed the lowest negative correlation (r=-0.404) among the sub-areas of gender role stereotypes. Conclusion: Dental hygiene students should be able to critically analyze and solve problems of not only sexual violence but also gender discrimination and imbalance in social life. For this, environmental factors such as school education and professor guidance must be strengthened.

  • The Korean government has been trying to create new economic value-added and jobs by the openness and utilization of open government data. However, most of open government data has poor utilization rate. Although open government data standardization is a major cause of those inactivation, it is not sufficient to conduct empirical research on open government data itself. Based on this trend, this paper aims to find the priority area for opening data and suggests a realistic directions of standardization of open government data. Text mining and social network analysis approaches are used to analyze open government data and standardization. This research suggests the guides to open government data managers in practical view from selection of data to standardization direction. In addition, this research has academic implications to the knowledge management systems in terms of suggesting standardization direction by using various techniques.

  • This study investigates the factors that affect the adoption of object orientation . One major research question is addressed : What are the factors that significantly influeence the adoption of object orientation ? This study especially explores the impact of independent variables on the level of actual usage of object orientation. The independent variables are classified into four categories as follow ; (1) Individual factors : amount of experience in using the structures methods and level of openness toward new technologies ; (2) Managerical factors : perceived management support and training : (3) Organizatinal factors : number of IS professionals in the working group and that in organization ; and (4) Environmental factors ; accessibility to technology champions and software hardware environment supporting object orientation. A Questionnaire measuring the above variables was utilized to investigate the effect of these variables on the dependent variable, the actual usage of object orientation. The structured questionnaire was administered to Data Processing Management Association (DPMA) professionals in U. S. The results of this study revealed several important findings with most results being consistent with expectations based on related theory. The personal openness toward new technologies, perceived management support, training, and hardware/software environment were highly related to the usage of object orientation. This study suggested an empiriclal basis for understanding the early adoption of object orientation in organization.
