  • Methodology of server development is so important for the development of online game because the client where the users play the online game depends on the server. In this research, we have studied data linkage methods of the online game server which permits the server to save and retrieve the user data on the database. The data linkage method of the server is critical to make the users continue their games anywhere online. In this paper, several data linkage methods have been proposed and classified with their definitions. The proposed methods have been evaluated with the experimental data. It will contribute for the developer of online game server to choose a good data linkage method for the features of the game.

  • Recently, studies of integrated management platform and performance-based maintenance decision-marking systems have proceeded to the efficient management of port facilities. The purpose of this study was to manage and operate port facilities based on performance and to provide long-term durability and budgetary execution. Thus, it is essential to secure basic data to be analyzed in an integrated platform and decision-marking system. This study derived the data linkage measures to secure port facility design and management information. The target of deriving the data linkage was the POMS (Port Facility Management System) currently in operation by the MOF (Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries). To derive data linkage, analyze the database of POMS and select the data required for the operation-integrated platform and decision-marking system. The final data linkage target was determined by compiling the requirements of the relevant experts and selecting the final target of three groups (port and facility information, management information, and user information). As a result, the API interface design was prepared for detailed linked data and data linkage framework between the linkage data of POMS. The provision of real-time data linkage between POMS and integrated platform is expected to improve the operational efficiency of the integrated platform.

  • Establishment of appropriate data in certain formats is essential for agricultural water cycle analysis, which involves complex interactions and uncertainties such as climate change, social & economic change, and watershed environmental change. The main objective of this study was to develop web-based Data processing and Model linkage Techniques for Agricultural Water-Resource analysis (AWR-DMT). The developed techniques consisted of database development, data processing technique, and model linkage technique. The watershed of this study was the upper Cheongmi stream and Geunsam-Ri. The database was constructed using MS SQL with data code, watershed characteristics, reservoir information, weather station information, meteorological data, processed data, hydrological data, and paddy field information. The AWR-DMT was developed using Python. Processing technique generated probable rainfall data using non-stationary frequency analysis and evapotranspiration data. Model linkage technique built input data for agricultural watershed models, such as the TANK and Agricultural Watershed Supply (AWS). This study might be considered to contribute to the development of intelligent watercycle analysis by developing data processing and model linkage techniques for agricultural water-resource analysis.

  • Background: Linkage of public healthcare data is useful in stroke research because patients may visit different sectors of the health system before, during, and after stroke. Therefore, we aimed to establish high-quality big data on stroke in Korea by linking acute stroke registry and national health claim databases. Methods: Acute stroke patients (n = 65,311) with claim data suitable for linkage were included in the Clinical Research Center for Stroke (CRCS) registry during 2006-2014. We linked the CRCS registry with national health claim databases in the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA). Linkage was performed using 6 common variables: birth date, gender, provider identification, receiving year and number, and statement serial number in the benefit claim statement. For matched records, linkage accuracy was evaluated using differences between hospital visiting date in the CRCS registry and the commencement date for health insurance care in HIRA. Results: Of 65,311 CRCS cases, 64,634 were matched to HIRA cases (match rate, 99.0%). The proportion of true matches was 94.4% (n = 61,017) in the matched data. Among true matches (mean age 66.4 years; men 58.4%), the median National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score was 3 (interquartile range 1-7). When comparing baseline characteristics between true matches and false matches, no substantial difference was observed for any variable. Conclusion: We could establish big data on stroke by linking CRCS registry and HIRA records, using claims data without personal identifiers. We plan to conduct national stroke research and improve stroke care using the linked big database.

  • This paper proposes some alternatives fur the power system linkage between South and North Korea, under the current situation. Since little information and data on the North-Korean power system are available so far, many efforts have been made to collect the required data for the North system as much as possible if available, and suppose, estimate and/or conjecture many things otherwise. Using these collected or assumed data, the characteristics of bus voltage and power flow are being studied to estimate the feasibility of the proposed linkage alternatives. To this end, many case studies have been made to examine the performance of acceptable interconnection alternatives.

  • The demand for spatial information in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution is expanding Additionally, interest in attribute data related to geography or location is increasing. In the field of spatial information, spatial information policies and services tailored to the public can be provided through linkage and integration with new attribute data, and these data are resources for this purpose. In order to meet this expanding and diverse demand for spatial information utilization, it is necessary to develop technologies for linking and utilizing various attribute information such as public data. In this study, we aim to present a technology development strategy for linking and integrating attribute data and spatial information through a review of theories related to data linkage and integration, the current status of data on public data portals, and existing prior research. As a result, it was suggested that the data identifier of the attribute data to be linked should be used to develop linkage technology between spatial information and attribute data, and an attribute data linkage process that can be used when designing a prototype for technology development was presented.

  • Flux linkage of phase windings is a key parameter in determining the behavior of a switched reluctance motor (SRM) [1-8]. Therefore, the accurate prediction of flux linkage at aligned and unaligned rotor positions makes a significant contribution to the design of an SRM and its analytical approach is not straightforward due to nonlinear saturation in flux. Although several different approaches using a finite element analysis (FEA) or a curve-fitting tool have been employed to compute phase flux linkage [2-5], they are not suitable for a simple design procedure because the FEA necessitates a large amount of time in both modeling and solving with complexity for every motor design, and the curve-fitting requires the data of flux linkage from either an experimental test or an FEA simulation. In this paper, phase flux linkage at aligned and unaligned rotor positions is estimated by means of a reluctance network, and the proposed approach is analytically verified in terms of accuracy compared to FEA.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose an effective direction of data linkage for building the humanities assets one-stop portal service. For this purpose, We collected and analyzed the actual status of the domestic institution with humanities assets, and presented the linkage direction through analysis of the data held by the target organization. The results of this study are as follows: First, we proposed a classification system of humanities assets based on the reviewing the existing classification system on the subject of humanities assets. Second, we set up the categories of potential data that can be incorporated into humanities assets through a detailed analysis of the subject and type of data held by the subject institutions. Third, we analyzed the platforms of similar case organizations providing one-stop portal services for humanities assets and proposed the applicable meta fields when constructing one-stop system based on similarity.

  • Evidence of linkage is expressed as a decreasing trend of the squared trait difference of two siblings with increasing identical by descent scores. In contrast to successes in the application of a parametric approach of Haseman-Elston regression, notably low powers are demonstrated in the nonparametric linkage analysis methods for complex traits and diseases with sib-pairs data. We report that the Genehunter nonparametric linkage statistic is biased and furthermore the variance formula that they used is an inflated one, and this is one reason for a low performance. Thus, we propose bias-corrected nonparametric linkage statistics. Simulation studies comparing our proposed nonparametric test statistics versus the existing test statistics suggest that the bias-corrected new nonparametric test statistics are more powerful and attains efficiencies close to that of Haseman-Elston regression.
