  • In this paper, we propose a high resolution A/D converter for a sensor interface that processes low frequency AC signals. A 6b SAR ADC with low power consumption and a 11b incremental ADC with high resolution are combined together to perform 15b resolution. Conventional hybrid ADC has a disadvantage that it can convert t only DC signal, but in this paper, it is possible to convert data to AC signal by increasing input range of incremental ADC. The decimation filter is implemented on-chip. The designed Hybrid ADC operates at supply voltage of 1.8V and consumes the current of 6.98uA. The OSR (oversampling ratio) is 90. And SFDR, SNDR, ENOB and FoMs are 96.59dB, 88.47dB, 14.4-bit and 139.5dB, respectively.

  • This paper introduces a monolithic chip 3.3V high-performance continuous-tune filter used in a CDP that can reconstruct the PDM or PWM signal output of a .SIGMA..DELTA. D/A converter. We also mentioned an active RC filter structure and filter order satisfying high-linearity and the design specification. In desigining the OP-AMP, using a structure that accepts some distortion we could reduce the chip area, and reducing the DC path using a new biascircuit gave us better power performance. The designed.SIGMA..DELTA. D/A converter post-processing filter does its smoothering operations and reconstructs the data without reducing the performance of the system.

  • There are many difficulties to supply constant power to marine facilities which operate in the sea. Especially, there is a limit to stand alone power supply systems due to the influence of weather conditions. That's why a hybrid power supply system is required to overcome these problems. This paper will describe an Electronic Anti-Fouling System (EAFS) to maximise the power efficiency for a solar - wave hybrid power generation system. A main factor reducing the efficiency of a Wave Energy Converter (WEC) is due to the attachment of aquatic life forms. Therefore the aim of this research is to develop a simulation programme to enable the design of more efficient EAFS for hybrid power generation systems and to provide valuable data for production of more efficient EAFS.

  • In this study, a method is suggested to design the A/D conversion system which has high resolution to convert load cell signal. First, hardware was designed to reduce the offset voltage of integrator and comparator. And then, a calibration software technique was performed to obtain the stable data from A/D converter. The optimal parameters of each elements in the circuits was selected using the SPICE simulation. The main advantage of our method is high precision A/D converter can be constructed with low cost and high confidence. Therefore proposed method is expected to be used in the industrial field where a high precision measurement is required.

  • We examine interoperability for integrated training simulation of a mechanized infantry battalion that uses a war game model of Korean army, Combat 21, and virtual simulators of K1 tanks. We discuss issues and problems for integrated simulation of the virtual and constructive models, including differences between the model scopes, model resolutions, engagement algorithms, and data consistency and training audiences of the war game model and virtual simulators. From these, we identify interoperability requirements. We propose ways of resolving the problems using a model converter.

  • Wind power and photovoltaic(PV) generation systems are the fastest growing sources of renewable energy. The nonlinear devices, such as power electronic converter or inverter, of wind power and PV generation systems are the source of harmonics in power systems. The harmonic-related problems can have significant detrimental effects in the power system, such as capacitor heating, data communication interference, rotating equipment heating, transformer heating, relay misoperation and switchgear failure. There is a greater need for harmonic analysis that can properly maintain the power quality. By measuring harmonics of existing wind power and PV generation systems as harmonics modeling, the studies were made to see the harmonic impact of grid-connected wind power and PV generation systems.

  • A microcomputer system consisting of 16-bit microcomputer, PCL-711S interface board, censors, and converters have been set up in order to automatically measure temperature, humidity and weight loss which are major variables of storage of apple. This system was operated by PC-LabDAS software. It has been possible to measure continuously the weight loss of Fuji apple stored in CA with the weight converter made by a miniature load cell and a strain amplifier. The temperature was checked by a k-type thermocouple and Pt 100 $\Omega$ RTD, and humidity by PQ653JAl humidity sensor. It has been possible to set up a linear equation which showers high correlationship between the estimate of temperature, weight humidity and the output of the converter in that r2 is more than 0.99. Transpiration rate, a significant factor of quality deterioration for CA storage of apple, can be estimated with these values.

Audio 데이터를 제어하는 방식은 ADC(Analog to Digital Converter)를 통해 Audio 데이터가 들어오면 IOC(IO Companion)를 통해 INIC으로 Audio데이터를 전달한다.

  • A floating Oscillating Water Column (OWC) wave energy converter, a Backward Bent Duct Buoy (BBDB), was simulated using a state-of-the-art, two-dimensional, fully-nonlinear Numerical Wave Tank (NWT) technique. The hydrodynamic performance of the floating OWC device was evaluated in the time domain. The acceleration potential method, with a full-updated kernel matrix calculation associated with a mode decomposition scheme, was implemented to obtain accurate estimates of the hydrodynamic force and displacement of a freely floating BBDB. The developed NWT was based on the potential theory and the boundary element method with constant panels on the boundaries. The mixed Eulerian-Lagrangian (MEL) approach was employed to capture the nonlinear free surfaces inside the chamber that interacted with a pneumatic pressure, induced by the time-varying airflow velocity at the air duct. A special viscous damping was applied to the chamber free surface to represent the viscous energy loss due to the BBDB's shape and motions. The viscous damping coefficient was properly selected using a comparison of the experimental data. The calculated surface elevation, inside and outside the chamber, with a tuned viscous damping correlated reasonably well with the experimental data for various incident wave conditions. The conservation of the total wave energy in the computational domain was confirmed over the entire range of wave frequencies.
