The design theory and experimental results of a true random noise radar system are presented in this paper. Target range information can be extracted precisely by correlation processing between the delayed reference and the signal received from a target, and the velocity information by the Doppler processing with successive correlation data. A K-band noise radar system was designed using random FM noise signal, and the characteristics of the fabricated system were examined with laboratory and outdoor experiments. A C-band random FM noise signal was generated by applying a low-frequency white Gaussian noise source to VCO(Voltage Controlled Oscillator), and a K-band Tx noise signal with 100 MHz bandwidth was obtained by using a following frequency multiplier. Two modified wave-guide horn arrays were designed and fabricated, and used for the Tx and Rx antennas. The required amount of Tx/Rx isolation was attained by using a coupling cancellation circuit as well as keeping them apart with predetermined spacing. A double down-conversion scheme was used in the Rx and reference channels, respectively, for easy post processing such as correlation and Doppler processing. The implemented noise radar performance was examined with a moving bicycle and a very high-speed target with a velocity of 150 m/s. The results extracted by the Matlab simulation using the logging data were found to be in a reasonable agreement with the expected results.

The TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System) is an electronic system designed to display the air pressure inside the pneumatic tires and report real-time tire-pressure information to the driver of the vehicle, either via a gange, a pictogram display, or a simple low-pressure warning light. Although the data measured by TPMS sensor is transmitted to internal signal processer in a vehicle through wireless communication, the receiver may suffers from various interferences such as amateur radio station, RFID(Radio-Frequency IDentification) for controlling container, RKE(Remote Keyless Entry) signal, and so on. In this paper, we consider beamforming technology to suppress various high-power interference signals for the TPMS wireless communications. Also, we propose the proper data structure and antenna arrangement for the beamformer inside the vehicle. The performance for the interference suppression is illustrated by computer simulation example.

This article presents a new asynchronous MC-CDMA system to implement multiple data rate communications. In a W-CDMA downlink, the OVSF code is used for spreading code for various multimedia traffic. Proposed system utilizes the OVSF code that generated by generation property for spreading. The proposed MC-CDMA system use different lengths of OVSF code as a spreading code according to their data rate. The groupwise processing is accomplished by code grouping in OVSF code generation tree. Between each group, the code grouping interference canceller is performed to cancel other group interference. At that time the proposed receiver does not require any information about interference users. For the analysis of average BER performance, we propose system model and computer simulation were used. We also compare the system performance with that of a single rate MC-CDMA system used orthogonal code as a spreading code.

Mobile transactions updating spatial objects are long transactions that update local objects of mobile clients during disconnection. Since a recovered transaction cannot read the write sets of other transactions committed before the recovery due to disconnection, the recovered transaction may conflicts with them. However, aborting of the recovered long transaction leads to the cancellation of all updates including the recovered updates. It is definitely unsuitable to cancel the recovered updates due to the conflicts. In this paper, we propose the recovery scheme to retrieve foreign conflictive objects from the write sets of other transactions for reducing aborting of a recovered transaction. The foreign conflictive objects are part of the data committed by other transactions and may conflict with the objects updated by the recovered transaction. In the scheme, since the recovered transaction can read both the foreign conflictive objects and the recently checkpoint read set, it is possible to reupdate properly the potentially conflicted objects.

In this paper, we propose a two-way relaying scheme using non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technology. In this scheme, two sources transmit packets with each other under the assistance of the decode-and-forward (DF) relays, called as a TWDFNOMA protocol. The cooperative relays exploit successive interference cancellation (SIC) technique to decode sequentially the data packets from received summation signals, and then use the digital network coding (DNC) technique to encrypt received data from two sources. A max-min criterion of end-to-end signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratios (SINRs) is used to select a best relay in the proposed TWDFNOMA protocol. Outage probabilities are analyzed to achieve exact closed-form expressions and then, the system performance of the proposed TWDFNOMA protocol is evaluated by these probabilities. Simulation and analysis results discover that the system performance of the proposed TWDFNOMA protocol is improved when compared with a conventional three-timeslot two-way relaying scheme using DNC (denoted as a TWDNC protocol), a four-timeslot two-way relaying scheme without using DNC (denoted as a TWNDNC protocol) and a two-timeslot two-way relaying scheme with amplify-and-forward operations (denoted as a TWANC protocol). Particularly, the proposed TWDFNOMA protocol achieves best performances at two optimal locations of the best relay whereas the midpoint one is the optimal location of the TWDNC and TWNDNC protocols. Finally, the probability analyses are justified by executing Monte Carlo simulations.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze the current cases of oriental medical injury relief data from Korea Consumer Agency (KCA), and to report the current change of oriental medical disputes pattern. Methods: Oriental medical injury relief cases processed by KCA from January 2010 to February 2015 were collected and analyzed. Results: 149 Oriental medical injury relief cases from KCA were analyzed for the study. The highest number that had been relieved was 43 in 2014. In monthly status, 18 case in September was The highest. According to the record, the bigger city had the bigger amount of relief cases which was 53(Seoul), 43(Gyeng-gi), 11(Busan) and so on. In age categories, 30s had the highest number of injury relief cases. The injury relief cases of package program had been rapidly increasing since 2013. Cancellation was the dominant claims cause of package program and consumer required the refund of prepayment. Breast augmentation was the majority treatment type of injury relief cases of package program. Average prepayment of package program was \3,166,085. Conclusions: This study finded that the major cause of oriental medical dispute was changed from side effect of clinical treatment to patient's satisfaction of medical service.
We investigate the solar flare occurrence rate and daily flare probability in terms of the sunspot classification supplemented with sunspot area and its changes. For this we use the NOAA active region data and GOES solar flare data for 15 years (from January 1996 to December 2010). We consider the most flare-productive eleven sunspot classes in the McIntosh sunspot group classification. Sunspot area and its changes can be a proxy of magnetic flux and its emergence/cancellation, respectively. We classify each sunspot group into two sub-groups by its area: "Large" and "Small". In addition, for each group, we classify it into three sub-groups according to sunspot area changes: "Decrease", "Steady", and "Increase". As a result, in the case of compact groups, their flare occurrence rates and daily flare probabilities noticeably increase with sunspot group area. We also find that the flare occurrence rates and daily flare probabilities for the "Increase" sub-groups are noticeably higher than those for the other sub-groups. In case of the (M+X)-class flares in the 'Dkc' group, the flare occurrence rate of the "Increase" sub-group is three times higher than that of the "Steady" sub-group. Our results statistically demonstrate that magnetic flux and its emergence enhance the occurrence of major solar flares.

The importance of communication and data processing is increasing with the advance of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Hence, the importance of video and data processing technologies, which directly influence the accuracy and reliability of equipment, is also increasing. In this research report we propose an algorithm for calculating the final output by estimating the standard deviation and estimate required for removing AWGN while adapting to changes in the frequency factors of video. This algorithm calculates the final output by checking an estimated value against the effective pixel range, which is obtained from the standard deviation of mask factors. Subsequently, the weighted value is computed, taking into account the filter output. To evaluate the functionality of this algorithm, it is compared with the most-commonly used present method through simulation. The simulation results show that the important features of the image are preserved and efficient noise cancellation performance is demonstrated.

In this paper, we consider the non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technique in the heterogeneous network (HetNET) consisting of a single macro base station (BS) and multiple small BSs, where the perfect successive interference cancellation is assumed for the NOMA signals. In this paper, we propose a deep learning-based user association and power allocation scheme to maximize the data rate in the NOMA-based HetNET. In particular, the proposed scheme includes the deep neural network (DNN)-based user association process for load balancing and the DNN-based power allocation process for data-rate maximization. Through the simulation assuming path loss and Rayleigh fading channels between BSs and users, the performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated, and it is compared with the conventional maximum signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (Max-SINR) scheme. Through the performance comparison, we show that the proposed scheme provides better sum rate performance than the conventional Max-SINR scheme.

The standardization of eddy-covariance data processing is essential for the analysis and synthesis of vast amount of data being accumulated through continuous observations in various flux measurement networks. End users eventually benefit from the open and transparent standardization protocol by clear understanding of final products such as evapotranspiration and gross primary productivity. In this paper, we briefly introduced KoFlux efforts to standardize data processing methodologies and then estimated uncertainties of surface fluxes due to different processing methods. Based on our scrutiny of the data observed at Gwangneung KoFlux site, net ecosystem exchange and ecosystem respiration were sensitive to the selection of different processing methods. Gross primary production, however, was consistent within errors due to cancellation of the differences in NEE and Re, emphasizing that independent observation of ecosystem respiration is required for accurate estimates of carbon exchange. Nocturnal soil evaporation was small and thus the annually integrated evapotranspiration was not sensitive to the selection of different data processing methods. The implementation of such standardized data processing protocol to AsiaFlux will enable the establishment of consistent database for validation of models of carbon cycle, dynamic vegetation, and land-atmosphere interaction at regional scale.
