The rapidly decreasing natural resources and the global variation of the climate push us to find intelligent and efficient structural systems to provide more people with fewer resources. This paper proposed a kinematic cable-strut system to realize sustainable structures in responding to changing environmental conditions. At first, the concept of the kinematic system based on crystal-cell pyramid (CP) cable-strut unit was given. Then the deployment of the structure was studied experimentally. After that, the static behaviors in the fully deployed state under the symmetric and asymmetric load cases were investigated. Moreover, the effects of thermal loading and the initial prestress distribution were also discussed. Comparative studies between the proposed structure and other deployable cable-strut system under three times of design load cases were carried out. Finally, the robustness of the system was studied by removal of one passive cable at one time.

The number of vehicles has increased exponentially over the past 20 years due to technological advancements. It is becoming almost impossible to manually control and manage the traffic in a city like Karachi. Without license plate recognition, traffic management is impossible. The Framework for License Plate Detection & Recognition to overcome these issues is proposed. License Plate Detection & Recognition is primarily performed in two steps. The first step is to accurately detect the license plate in the given image, and the second step is to successfully read and recognize each character of that license plate. Some of the most common algorithms used in the past are based on colour, texture, edge-detection and template matching. Nowadays, many researchers are proposing methods based on deep learning. This research proposes a framework for License Plate Detection & Recognition using a custom YOLOv5 Object Detector, image segmentation techniques, and Tesseract's optical character recognition OCR. The accuracy of this framework is 0.89.

Many researchers are trying hard to minimize the incidence of cancers, mainly Gastric Cancer (GC). For GC, the five-year survival rate is generally 5-25%, but for Early Gastric Cancer (EGC), it is almost 90%. Predicting the onset of stomach cancer based on risk factors will allow for an early diagnosis and more effective treatment. Although there are several models for predicting stomach cancer, most of these models are based on unbalanced datasets, which favours the majority class. However, it is imperative to correctly identify cancer patients who are in the minority class. This research aims to apply three class-balancing approaches to the NHS dataset before developing supervised learning strategies: Oversampling (Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique or SMOTE), Undersampling (SpreadSubsample), and Hybrid System (SMOTE + SpreadSubsample). This study uses Naive Bayes, Bayesian Network, Random Forest, and Decision Tree (C4.5) methods. We measured these classifiers' efficacy using their Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) curves, sensitivity, and specificity. The validation data was used to test several ways of balancing the classifiers. The final prediction model was built on the one that did the best overall.
In this report the practical case of Viking ship's conservation in Denmarke specially among the Eurpoean nations is introduced. The contents of it are summarized as follows :From 1957 to 1962 the Danish National Museum Salvaged five Viking ships from the bottom of Roskilde Fjord, Which were composed of the pieces of timber whose surface was soft because they had lain on the sea bed for about a thousand years. Excavation had been carried out in the same way as in the field by driving down a sheet piling around the wrecks and pumping the water out. These pieces of the wreck ships were packed in airtight plastic bags one by one to be transported for Brede and then immidiately had to go through the treatment for conservation. The conservation treatment process for the pieces includes three steps ; the preliminary process prior to the hardening treatment, the hardening and the assemble of the ships. In the first step ; the preliminary process, all remains of mud and shells from the fjord bed are washed off, and measuring followed ; every single piece of wreckage was drawn so that the form and size of the piece, nail holes, and breaks were registered before conservation. In the second ; the hardening treatment step, the pieces of the woreckage were filled with P.E.G. This Polyethylene Glycol method was the best to handle in the subsequent mounting of the ships in the museum. In the final, the Glycol-treated pieces were pieced together to spips with support of a system of reinforcements. They were to fit in place after corrections of the form were made several times.
Louisiana Museum of Modern Art near Copenhagen is the most visited art museum in Denmark. It was originally founded by the director of the time, Knud W. Jensen and designed by two Danish architects, Vilhelm Wohlert and J${\o}$rgen Bo. The first part of the museum was built and opened to the public in 1958. The first part consisted of just a few exhibition spaces and glass corridors. But museum has been expanded step by step into a large park-like museum throughout 40 years of time. Louisiana museum has a unique environment in which art, architecture and nature are inter-related together. There was a very clear background for this museum atmosphere that was created by Knud W. Jensen from the very beginning. He wanted to make 'a sculptural park' or 'a low pavilion in the park'. The concept of 'park' was the key element. The architects, especially Vilhelm Wohlert who studied at the western area of the United States and influenced by the bay area architecture as well as the oriental wooden structure, interacted with the director's idea fully and made an invisible architecture in which 'Experience of Space' is the most important aspect. This thesis aims to analyze several crucial spaces of the museum and to find a hidden design characteristics. Chapter 2&3 explains general backgrounds and main design philosophy. Chapter 4 studies each parts' spatial experience and design methods with 3-dimensional diagrams. Chapter 5 tries to make an overall design characteristics that underlines the whole museum environment. The significance of Louisiana museum is not only in the fact that it is the most visited, but also in the fact that the role of architecture is to make a better environment where human and art are harmonized together within nature. The utopian idea of the founder started in doubt almost 50 years ago has been already successful in this small but vibrant park.

A single specimen of Strophidon sathete (1,302 mm in total length), belonging to the family Muraenidae, was collected in a danish seine off the southern coast of Jejudo Island in April, 2019 for the first time. It was characterized by having unpatterned coloration and thin body, snout slightly rounded, three superorbital pores, four infraobital pores, and six mandibular pores. This species is distinguishable from morphologically similar Gymnothorax albimarginatus inhabiting Korean waters by having all fins dark (vs. fins dark posteriorly with white margin for latter), body depth 1.8~3.1% in total length (vs. 3.2~5.7%), and no dark band on head in less than 50~70 cm (vs. exist). We add Strophidon sathete to the Korean fish fauna and propose a new Korean name, "Ga-neun-gom-chi" for the species because the body is relatively thinner than other similar moray species (G. albimarginatus) in Korea.
There is an increasing curiosity in Nordic as well as Far East Asian countries about senior cohousing, where the middle-aged and elderly people, 55+. form a community for independent living. What are the ideas behind senior cohousins? Why are people moving to senior cohousing community? What may senior cohousing provide and mean for individuals and groups of the elderly? Is senior cohousing a sustainable idea for future generations of elderly people? There is a curiosity among elderly people looking for interesting alternatives. Municipalities and state authorities hope that senior cohousing can contribute to the welfare of the elderly as the scope far support by the public sector is decreasing. Actors in the building sector are interested In investment and meeting the demands. In Denmark and Sweden the senior cohousing concept had a revival around 1985. In Denmark there has been a vivid discussion and plenty of books have been published. In Sweden there are few evaluations but an increasing interest. From different points of view, Danish, Swedish and Nordic as well as Far East Asian countries, there is a concern to explore and compare to get more facts and deeper understanding far further actions. This is a comparative study of inhabitants' life satisfaction in cohousing communities in Denmark and Sweden. The study is based on discussions with cohousing providers, study-visits in cohousing communities and a questionnaire to residents themselves. Study-visits took place during springtime and the questionnaires were handled spring and summer of 2002. 655 seniors responded to the questionnaire from 14 seniorbofae llesskaber (rented or housing cooperatives) in Denmark, 11 seniorhus within the SABO sector (municipality owned housing with rental apartments) and 8 housing cooperatives initiated by the Seniorgarden Housing Company in Sweden. Data were analyzed by SPSS program, using frequency, percentage, cross-tab and chi-square test. This paper focused three major areas of interest; 1)characteristics of the inhabitants. 2) participation in common activities and mutual cooperation among residents and 3) evaluative outcomes from the inhabitants' points of view. Mainly the inhabitants expressed quite positive experiences of their living environment and everyday lift and a few difference was found in life satisfaction between Denmark and Sweden.

The age and growth of the sandfish, Arctoscopus japonicus were investigated from samples of the eastern sea danish seine and gill net fishery in the East Sea of Korea from February, 2004 to December, 2007. Ages were determined from annuli in otoliths and annuli were formed between December and February once a year. Also, the main spawning period was estimated to be between December and January, thus rings were considered to be annual marks. For the relationship between fork length and total weight, a multiplicative error structure was assumed because variability in growth increased as a function of the length. The relationship between fork length and total weight were $TW=0.0083FL^{3.01}(R^2=0.966)$ for female and $TW=0.0079FL^{3.04}(R^2=0.969)$ for male. The variability in growth was constant as a function of age, revealing an additive error structure. The von Bertalanffy growth parameters estimated by a non-linear method were $L_{\infty}=31.6cm$, K=0.266/year, $t_0=-0.835$ years for female and $L_{\infty}=27.7cm$, K=0.273/year, $t_0=-0.806$ years for male. Growth at age between male and female had a significant difference(P<0.001).
The Earth's total magnetic field was extracted from on board TAM (Three Axis Magnetometer) observations of KOMPSAT-1 satellite between June 19th and 21st, 2000. In the pre-processing, the TAM's telemetry data were transformed from ECI (Earth Centered Inertial frame) to ECEF (Earth Centered Earth Fixed frame) and then to spherical coordination, and self-induced magnetic field by satellite bus itself were removed by using an on-orbit magnetometer data correction method. The 2-D wavenumber correlation filtering and quadrant-swapping method were applied to the pre-processed data in order to eliminate dynamic components and track-line noise, respectively. Then, the spherical harmonic coefficients are calculated from KOMPSAT-1 data. To test the validity of the TAM's geomagnetic field, Danish/NASA/French ${\phi}$rsted satellite's magnetic model and IGRF2000 model were used for statistical comparison. The correlation coefficient between ${\phi}$rsted and TAM is 0.97 and IGRF and TAM is 0.96. It was found that the data from on board magnetometer observations for attitude control of Earth-observing satellites can be used to determinate the Earth's total magnetic field and that they can be efficiently used to upgrade the global geomagnetic field coefficients, such as IGRF by providing new information at various altitudes with better temporal and spatial coverage.
The Danish-Icelandic artist, Olafur Eliasson who was born in 1967 is known for installation projects employing materials such as colour, fog, mirror and light to rethink the relationship between human and surrounding. Since he started the early projects, Eliasson has been interested in the relationship between an art, a viewer and space. He has used the medium from nature because he thought nature is very common subject to derive new idea of relationship between human and surrounding. Eliasson revealed the idea of relationship between human and surrounding by three characteristics of spatial design such as 'reinterpretation of placeness by juxtaposition of mediums and defamilarization', 'ambiguity and extensity of depth distance of space by mediums' and 'change in spatiality by movement of viewers and time'. This paper focused on four case projects : The mediated motion in 2001, The weather project in 2003, The blind pavilion in 2003, Your rainbow panorama in 2011. It is aimed to discover relationship between human and surrounding in the case projects under three characteristics. This study found that three characteristics were differently applied in the case projects in terms of spatial experience and design methods. Inside & outside locations, formal quality, visual-perceptual relationships in and around each case are crucial elements and tools. The unique relationship between human and surrounding of Eliasson and three characteristics are applicable to architecture and spatial design.
