The purpose of this study was to assess condylar size in volumetric 3D imaging in patients with class I, class II, class III malocclusions. To evaluate the differences among the three experimental groups, the condylar values of men were analyzed. There was a significant difference in the measured values of height. Among the three experimental groups, the condylar measurements in women showed significant differences in height and width. This study is expected to be used for determining the connection between malocclusion and condyle as a base line data.

The films annealed after physical deposition of titanium and chemical deposition of amorphous silicon by plasma were formed Si-rich titanium silicide with a good quality of crystallinity and had the various lattice structures due to orientation of lattices for epitaxy growth during annealing process. Band gap of the titanium silicide had 1.14~1.165 eV and the films annealed after chemical deposition of a-Si:H by plasma were influenced by a-Si and the dangling bond offered by desorption of hydrogen. Urbach tail ($E_0$) of the films annealed after physical deposition of Ti was nearly constant within a range of 0.045~0.05 eV, and the number of defect in films annealed after chemical deposition of a-Si:H by plasma was about 2~3 times more than that in annealed Ti/Si films.

In the Pohang Earthquake in 2017, considerable damage to non-structural elements, such as ceiling systems, exterior finishes, and curtain walls, was reported; thus, the seismic designs of non-structural elements are important. In this study, the modal characteristics of a ceiling system were investigated through the impact hammer test. The frequency and damping ratio according to the length of the hanger bolt were identified. In addition, collision experiments were conducted to obtain the impact duration for exactly considering the impact effects of the ceiling against a wall or other adjacent elements. Based on the identified dynamics and impact duration of the ceiling system, the seismic responses of the ceiling system were obtained numerically in case of collision. Numerical simulation results show that the impact load tends to increase with the clearance between the ceiling and adjacent elements, and is not correlated with the length of the hanger bolt.

Objectives: This long-term case report presents the case of an ovarian cancer patient with brain, cervical lymph node, and vertebral metastasis suppressed by traditional Korean medicine in combination with cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cell-based immunotherapy. Methods: The patient received acupuncture, moxibustion, GunChil-go, Hangam-dan, and CIK cell-based immunotherapy. The Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group and tumor markers were used to evaluate the treatment effects. Results: Integrative cancer treatment suppressed the progression of cancer, and the patient achieved eight-year survival. The performance status improved, and the tumor marker level was maintained. Conclusions: We suggest that an integrative cancer treatment that includes traditional Korean medicine can be a meaningful treatment option for advanced ovarian cancer.

This study is about the origin of Toigye's SaDanChilJeongRiGiHoBalRon (四端七情理氣互發論: theory of humanity and the relation between humanity and heaven's principle). In this study, I looked into the influences of Toigye's elders on such theory of Toigye. In this process, I introduced SimHakJangGuJipJuDaeJeon (心學章句集註大全) I obtained recently as a main material. This book was written by an uncelebrated scholar born in 60 years before Toigye. It showed "SaDanRiBalYiGiSuJi ChilJeongGiBalRiSeungJi (四端理發而氣隨之 七情氣發而理乘之)", which was as same as Toigye's study logic. Regarding the fact that such two logics were same, I traced the transferring path of such logic weighing the possibility of transferring such book or HoBalRon shown in such book while not completely neglecting an accidental coincidence. I also induced that the pro-Toigye-era also had the academic circumstance under which RiGiHoBalRon could be born even supposing an accidental coincidence. In addition, I also emphasized that such book was positioned to pioneer Toigye's neo-Confucianism in various aspects.

These days as the average span of man's life increases, the patients of senile dementia also increase. In oriental medicine, the study of dementia developed during the Ming and Qing eras. So I investigated medical books on those eras, as a result, the following conclusion was drawn. 1. ZhangJingYue of the Ming era considered the cause of dementia to be emotional problems, he observed a delirium, abnormal actions, sweating loss and depression in the dementia patients and he prescribed 'BokManJeon', 'ChilBokYem' and 'DaeBoWonJeon'. 2. ChenShiZe of the Ming&Qing era considered the cause of dementia to be a dejection of liver energy, a weakness of stomach energy and phlegm, he described many symptoms and he prescribed 'SeSimTang' and 'ChukBoSunDan'. 3. WangQingRen of the Qing era considered amnesia caused by abnormal brain function, this fact is similar to Western Medicine.

In magnetic levitation and repulsion systems, the eddy current on the rail induced by the motion of vehicle, plays an important role on forces. The 3-dimensional finite element method is used to analyze these phenomina. The non-linear analysis is also carried out using Newton-Raphson method. The levitation, drag, and guidance forces are compared with those obtained by two-dimensional linear analysis and three-dimensional linear analysis.

본고에서는 차세대 항공시스템의 핵심요소 중 하나인 항공기내 무선통신 (WAIC: Wireless Avionics Intra-Communication) 시스템의 연구동향과 이를 군용기내 무선통신 시스템에서 응용하는 방안에 대해 알아본다. 먼저 항공기 내 유선 통신네트워크 기술 동향을 살펴본 뒤, 항공기내 무선통신 시스템에 사용할 수 있는 무선 표준 기술로써 IEEE 802.11, Bluetooth, IEEE 802.15.4 등의 무선통신 기술을 소개한다. 이후 현재 논의되고 있는 항공기내 무선통신 시스템을 위한 주파수 대역과 트래픽 모델을 소개한다. 또한 현재 논의되고 있는 항공기내 무선통신 시스템을 군용으로 응용할 때 고려해야 하는 점을 소개한다.

Objectives: The present study reports case of an elderly kwashiorkor patient who was treated with Korean Medicine. Methods: A 68-year-old female patient with weight loss, general weakness, chills, anorexia, and dizziness after over 100 episodes of diarrhea visited the hospital. Blood tests showed hypoalbuminemia and anemia, and ultrasonography revealed fatty liver disease. The patient was diagnosed with kwashiorkor, and her symptom differentiation was Yang deficiency followed by Both Qi-Blood deficiency. Sayeok-Tang, Soshiho-Tang, Insamyangyeong-Tang, and Gongjin-Dan, herbal drugs, were given to the patient during 40 days of hospitalization. Results: After 40 days of hospitalization, her symptoms were reduced, and the blood test results improved. Conclusion: This case presents the therapeutic potential of Korean medicine in the treatment of kwashiorkor.
